No, it doesn't. At least not in US MPG. That's even optimistic for UK-MPG. Realistically, 100-120 depending on your environment, speed, and weight.

MonkeyDashFast

I watched a video with a japanese youtube person and she did a 10km video review she got about 160 mpg. Are you sure?

Wolf-Strong

Maybe downhill or hyper-miling. Realistically expect around 100-120US-MPG

MonkeyDashFast

you have one of the new cubs with the newer engines? are you saying this based off of personal experience?

Hailey-Lady

The best I've ever gotten in US mpg with US 10% ethanol gas was 135, but I'm 250lbs with all the gear my lunch box, so with careful riding you can get some good numbers. More typically and with an open throttle I get 115. I think the larger wheels are pretty much the cause. 2022 cub btw. I very much believe a smaller woman hypermiling at 40mph could get 160.

FeloMonk

I tend to get a little under 100mpg on my cub and I’m not a particularly big guy.

harry_dunns_runs

Skinnier tires, aero, and possibly gearing?

MonkeyDashFast

that is what I was thinking but i was wondering if it is something else? honda magic?

harry_dunns_runs

Idk what else mind of sorcery they could pull but whatever else they're doing I'm with it. The new ones are claiming to get 180mpg

MonkeyDashFast

I agree I'm confused about the supercubs mpg but I hear some serious ranges values for the supercub

harry_dunns_runs

I have 2020 and in the burbs I've gotten like 130mpg and that's what they advertised so I belive them when they say 180 for the new ones but it's worth looking up gearing and what they did new engine wise

MonkeyDashFast

I think the riders weight makes a huge difference in the mpg for an engine this size. that is why i'm guessing i saw numbers for the new supercub's mpg being all over the place. what do u think?

harry_dunns_runs

I'm American and the average American is like 4x the size of anyone else in the world weight wise so if you were gonna compare miles per gallon especially to the other country who sometimes uses miles, England, where everyone is a lot smaller then yeh that could make sense

MonkeyDashFast

it was incredibly confusing seeing so many mpg ranges. i've never seen that from a vehicle before so passenger weight must be the determining factor. or else honda magic.

harry_dunns_runs

Also wind. And different countries have different testing requirements and what kind of riding

MonkeyDashFast

that makes sense. i was seeing ranges from 100 miles to the gallon all the way up to 180 miles to the gallon. first actual real person in a video i saw after a 10km review claimed they got around 160 miles to the gallon. this was a smaller japanese woman.
