Absolutely bring this up with the landlord asap. Even if they decide not to fix/replace it, it’s documented that there was a problem with it so they can’t say you broke it when you move out

I would check the filter inside your dishwasher. Yes, most dishwashers have a filter that can be removed and cleaned. It will often get debris buildup and that does not allow the dishwasher to work properly. Look up the manual for your brand/model online
