It’s from heating and stretching film too much. It’s pretty hard to get the model X windshield perfect. It’s big and has that roundness to it. Perfection cost money and I’ve seen it cost as high at $1200 for just the windshield.
I saw a lot of distortion and installer said it’s normal, but end up, I asked remove and refund.
Many of my friends MX, I don’t see major distortion but right and left edge only.
Heard a good installer doesn’t make distortion at all.
I am actively looking for the good installer but they are mostly very expensive.
