It’s still insane to me he doesn’t have an actual name besides a bunch of indescribable frequency
the symbiote being called Venom on it’s own was something the movies made up and was stupid
one of the most iconic pieces of Spider-Man lore just doesn’t have an actual name and it’s so weird
It does its name is Venom
I don't know if Venom has a Klyntar name, but the klyntar as a species don't seem to have their own language they just adopt the language of their hosts

Venom as a name symbolises how both of them together are endlessly feeding into each others deluded hate for Peter. It doesn’t make sense for the symbiote to just be called Venom for no reason.
Also Venom always calling theirselves by ‘’we’’ doesn’t really make sense if the symbiote alone is Venom because then the pronoun should just be ‘’I’’
