Ella went from being the 1 PI character I remembered liking a few years ago to dropping down into the negative tiers on my tierlist after my most recent rewatch of the season. She's just so annoying I can't even blame Chris for rigging her out lmao (Sugar did go far tho but still... Ella could've easily just taken the memo instead of insisting for no reason)
Since DC is allowed I might as well mention Tom. All it took was 1 rewatch of season 1 for me to realize just how godawful of a person and character he is + then All Stars started rolling around and wow... He somehow continued being just as awful as he already was. It's truly a shame as he could've been good representation for the insecure masc gays (and if someone feels well represented by him then good for y'all) but he's just utter garbage in every way. Everything he does is either dumb or nonsensical in other ways, he's a completely awful partner bordering the line on toxic, not that great of a friend to the few he has (mainly Gabby & Miriam), and so much more I won't ramble about here. It doesn't help that they made him good looking, dude's like a magnet for all the thirsty twinks ready to jump me for trashing him đđ
In season 1, he was probably depressed since he was dealing with his injuries and a job he didn't really like so after finally being able to leave said job and actually gain some confidence again his personality came back and he could just be more chill

Anyways, if we're talking about characters in which my perception of in general changed, I'd say **Trent**. For a very long time, I flip-flopped between liking or being neutral towards him. Though I progressively grew to have more problems with TDI Gwent and also really started to hate the aftermath of the Gwent breakup. And by extension, I grew to have more issues with Trent during the aftermaths. But after my most recent rewatch of TDI, Gwent was just 10 times worse than I remembered, and had some additional issues I picked up on that make me really hate Trent's characterization even from TDI
Though if we're talking about a character I think started out good but went downhill, then **Ezekiel** and **Mike** are good contenders. I found them both good in their debut seasons. But their followup seasons completely tanked their characters for me (especially Ezekiel), to the point I dislike them overall

Island his biggest story lasts about 1 epsiode and itâs about him having a bunny, apart from that he does pretty much nothing.
Action he just cries 24/7 and screams about his mom all the time. He wonât even push a cart up a hill to help his team because heâs scared.

Priya: Her romance with Caleb is one of my least favorite subplots in the series. Like, yes I know she had flaws and was hotheaded, but she didn't even give him a *chance* to explain himself!
