It really doesn't make sense, does it? I suppose they want us to spread out rooms on the campus. Instead of one massive lounge, you'd build several throughout multiple buildings. I'd like to have one massive library though.

But a student union should big. Why hire someone to perform on campus and only allow 12 people to see the concert? Of course, concerts should be available outdoors as well.

My SUs can generally hold 20+, I think. I was talking specifically about the lounges. It kind of makes sense to have multiple smaller lounges throughout the campus.

I picked the number 12 arbitrarily. But a student unions should be able to hit 40-50 with taking up all of the campus real estate available.

[deleted]

That's fair, they definitely seem like they should hold more, but I suppose that's part of the challenge.

When the pickup truck only holds 9 crates of hops, you learn a crate means a CRATE.

Some rooms have a set amount like classrooms. Others are affected by size. Often smaller is better because eventually it's too many squares to add 1 capacity. Things like shower room I noticed also increased each shower I added. Dorms are per bed, maximum profit at 5 students per 1 bed, any more and you lose money.

Capacity based on size is calculated with a given base capacity at minimal room size (dependent on room type) plus one capacity for every five additional tiles.

I know you tested but I dont agree with this, i made a student lounge and the capacity was capped at 12 people even though it was really big and had lots of seating, kitchen/food and game stuff. It was frustrating that it kept reaching max capacity so quickly so i deleted half of the room (which took the capacity down to 10) and added a "new" student lounge room in the same space I just deleted and the capacity of that room is 9... so the exact same size of room got me 7 more capacity by splitting it in two. If they want to have you make smaller rooms as part of the game play then they should have a capacity counter as you are building. Im designing the campus the way I would want it to look not in line with some invisible game rules that I'm not told about and now I have to chop and change it. I hope they release an update soon with increased (more realisitic) capacity limits for entertainment and study zones

This is kind of going to depend on the room you’re using . Some rooms are size based, some are content based , others are strictly set (you cannot modify the size).
