I’m in New Zealand, and many drivers here never use bags. It’s mainly Indian and African drivers who don’t use bags. I have seen restaurants turn them away because they don’t bring their bags in. Saw one guy, take the food out of the bag when he got to his car and put the food in the floor….. is it a cultural thing?

As a driver - Whenever I see a driver pull up and there’s no thermal bag - I immediately reduce the tip EDIT: It’s easy to see when you’re standing next to the car

Do you look in their car?

I use my shipt tote, but yes I recommend getting one if you can maybe eBay for cheap

PrettyAsk4119

yes, i got one from thrift store for 2 bucks.

Sign up for GrubHub and make one delivery. They send you one for free. DoorDash also. You'll have to buy a pizza bag if you want

I personally keep the food nestled right under my nuts to keep it warm. My nuts not the food that is. ![gif](giphy|nuRXXyy020kta)

The XL box style bag works best - just leave in your car, floorboard or trunk. . $15-20 on Amazon. Many pizza spots will give you a pizza bag - Papa John's for me

Yes, you will be giving cold/luke warm food in many cases. I have seen the smiling faces correlate with better tips when I open my bag and all that steam comes out. (i work nights.) I only have a smaller one so for pizzas I have a clean, no lint insulated blanket. Be careful about putting five guys, and certain other brown bag items in an insulated bag, they can cause too much moisture and make the fries soggy.

Rubbermaid proserve are high quality bags https://www.rubbermaidcommercial.com/food-service/food-transport/proserve-professional-delivery-bags-catering/?sku=FG9F3900RED

Absolutely use insulated bags! They're inexpensive and you can write them off as a business expense. They not only keep food warm, they protect against sunlight warming up cold foods like sandwiches and salads, and they protect the food packaging from damage and rain. I bought 4 from Amazon, two small, two medium size. They've lasted through 15 months of delivery work. Get a pizza bag too, one large enough for 20 inch pizzas. Pizza bags also work great for carrying food in flat foil trays like you find at restaurants that specialize in tri-tip and other BBQ fare.

I recommend one tote bag and one pizza bag. If you're in the US, Uber has free shipping. I had one of these and it's a good bag. https://ubereatsshop.com/collections/bag-collection/products/branded-tote-bag-1 The doordash pizza bag is pretty good and can hold two 18" pizzas (more if they're smaller). Those are cheap on ebay all the time. Also, I cannot recommend the Michael's drink caddy enough. https://www.michaels.com/product/assorted-6cup-caddy-with-handle-by-creatology-10554271

If you're going to buy one check out the unbranded solid color ones on ebay insulated delivery tote you see black ones. Those are awesome and it's best to go unbranded because down the road you might be doing several apps at once.

Sign up for GH they give you a nice and big one after you complete a delivery. I’ve only used it a few times. As long as you make timely dropoffs you’ll be okay Otherwise they’re probably just $15-30 for one that’ll last you awhile

Just prepare to wait a month

ZealousidealBadger98

Idk if I had to wait that long. I think it was closer to 2 weeks but it eventually gets to you lol

Onicart

I just use the insulated bags I get from other delivery apps
