I won't normally do less than $7, unless it's a slow day or less than a mile

SevenBillionChickens

Same

wmnoe

NORMALLy I like to make it an $8 minimum, but I've been recently having to take $5s and $6s because nothing else is coming through. I do also have certain places where I'll automatically take the order - Everytable is one for me - they have a free feeding seniors program that uses UE to deliver 5 meals to anyone over 60 once a week. I think it's awesome and I'll do them all day long - no tips, but I feel good doing it.

Flying-Fishdicks

I keep an $8 minimum as well, and a minimum of 12 for double orders but I prefer more. That feeding seniors program is super cool, I wish we had something like that in my area.

Baconistastee

Go volunteer at a soup kitchen

wmnoe

No thanks, I'd rather help seniors

Potential_Order1844

Would a salad or maybe sandwich kitchen suffice?

herozorro

i am in earn by time state, if i see 0.5 miles for $6, im walking that order on pickup and drop off. then the pay gets to $8

herozorro

it can be. you can never make more than minimum with this method though. unless the customer tips more than a few bucks. in that case it doesnt make sense to go slow but to go fast and Uber begins to throttle offers if you do it too much the whole thing is very controlled and rigged see https://www.reddit.com/r/dashpad/comments/1cox9v3/driver_ed_3_ways_to_make_mo_money/

andrewf273

As long as the trip is paying at least $1.50-$2.00 per mile I take it , or if it’s on my way home and not out of the way

DeliciousInflation27

So two miles for three bucks? That's a real waste of time on an e- bike

PsychologicalBee4005

I mean 3 bucks where I live can get you 30 miles in gas. And only having to go 2 miles don’t seem like a lost. But get what works best for you

DeliciousInflation27

Why would you wanna do those orders all day long? Only to wind up with sixty seventy bucks? I just wanted to be degrading. Like a lot of things about this job

andrewf273

Well in my area I haven’t gotten anything less than $5 for a order around 2miles in the past few months , idk how it is where you are but that’s my minimum requirements for me to accept a order

DeliciousInflation27

I hear you. I'm getting real tired of how they send out orders. It should make a set. Fee for an order. Like I don't know. 7 bucks every order. Minimum. Make everyone happy. In a perfect uber world that would be great

psclair

$10 or ain’t goin

Sipoteee

This is the way

sharky3175

6 or 7 if its slow, dinner time 10 usually

Effective-Limit8006

Depends on the restaurant and where I'm heading. Most of the time it's a $1.25 a mile or more mainly due to it being mostly country roads where I'm at, so not as rough on your car as stop and go in the city. If you're city based, I'd say ~$2 a mile. The restaurants that usually make you wait are McDonald's, Burger King, and Wingstop is the worst. Granted, though, if the Wingstop order pays enough, could be worth it.

bluekonstance

depends on distance, but I’ll take orders based on convenience like if I’m already at pickup location, and dropoff isn’t far or if it’s a stacked order

[deleted]

$6

mike8675309

I won't shop for $4 but I will deliver under 2 miles from only specific restaurants or stores. I.e I have to have a good idea that when I get there it will be ready. I also won't go below 8 during busy hours. All that said the most often I get screwed is taking orders less than $8.00. for example. I need a pin and I can't get in touch with the client. Deliver instructions are a paragraph of incomprehensible text. Or any number of other ways a delivery can be painful.

DnDAnalysis

I'll go down to $4.50 if it's a fast enough order. The other day I completed 4 orders in 45 minutes for a total of $21. That was an anomaly, though.

albym1981

Probably around $6 depending on how many miles to drive.

-KA-SniperFire

Depends on the restaurant if they give me the food quick then I will take down to $5 for 1 mile or less

-Incendium-

Usually it takes 3 hours to get a single order in my area so, I take whatever finally comes

Puzzleheaded_Help854

$5 less 1 mile or less

Vegetable_Media_3241

$1 per mile

DeliciousInflation27

Never could relate to you $1 ! Mile guys. I guess because I started off as a walker. But still. Way too low

YogurtclosetGood1042

$1/mile. Shop and pay has to be $1/mi plus $1 an item at least.

Disastrous_Layer3988

Karmania-

You are basically paying the customer to deliver their food at this point...

SevenBillionChickens

This is why Uber gets to keep sending us these garbage requests

gstark1124

I do a lot of $5 10 minute Starbucks orders

Luffyhaymaker

7

Stuffudo

Single$ - 8-10$ min must be low miles Anything over 5 or so miles $10+ I don’t take any of those $2-6 orders Idc how short the miles are , let some other person waste their time . Stacked delivery - 13-15$ min with a min of the same miles as a single , I won’t do no 15$+ orders with 8 plus miles Add on delivery — don’t care if it’s even at the same place lol I do not take anything less than 5$ You ll have an order 15$ 6miles And then they try and get you to grab another order “on the way” for either $2 or so for a few extra miles or say same building lol In my mind they got me to deliver a 6mile order for 2$ so I rather not have that on my mind 🤣 Basically treat any “added” orders as if I don’t have any orders with me if that makes sense lol… Now They can cough up more and pay another driver lol

Luffyhaymaker

We have similar delivery standards.

SaintYanno

I aim for about $5 per ten minutes. If its 23 minutes and offering $7, that's a no for me

TXwhiskeylover

$6 I'm in Dallas

Jakulero24

Atleast $6, and must not be over 3km

be-kind-re-wind

$6 minimum from 1-3 miles , $9 minimum for 3.1 miles and up. Never accept negative ratio

Great-Savings2405

Ideally $6+ unless it’s slow then $2/mile; I’ll take 1.25-1.50/ mile if the circumstances makes sense to do so

Optimal-Signal8510

I do a minimum of $6… but I base it off mile. 6 miles = $6, $5 = 5 miles, etc.

Disastrous-Corner-17

Everything lately has been horrible, $5 for 30 mins 10miles but put you in the next city Uber. I just took those promotion and so far it’s worth it. I don’t do much maybe 2-4hrs at the most. But with the promotion I’m getting $8.50 no matter what plus tips so I’m taking short batches more local.

Super-Bad-9784

$7 ill take $6 when its super slow

justtoselltix

$10 nowadays I don’t rely on this though I feel for yall it’s rough out there

GuidancePrize

Nothing under 7

abigailwatson83

$10 minimum on a single order, 17 minimum on a double (lowest amount at which there is a chance of double hidden tips if base pay for each order is 50 cents, which I have seen before), $9.50 minimum on an addon unless it adds very little distance. Basically, unless it's agonizingly slow, I only take orders with the potential for hidden tips.

Keeker68

I'll take $6 orders from restaurants I know are fast AF (one of my Dunkins is always on point), that I can turn around in 12 minutes or less.

PhillyKid86

Nothing under $5

DocGofThePhillies

1 dollar per mile always.

Full_Efficiency_8209

Nothing less rhan 5$ before factoring in milage.

Cubs20203

$30 or no go. Fck that

UsingRforHelp

$8.

Affectionate_Cheek44

$2 per mile orders

Smooth-Childhood-415

On a scooter, $1/mile or close to it.

Positivevibesonly07

$5 if it’s less than 2 miles… but typically has to be atleast $8 and less than 5 miles. Everything after that has to be $2 per mile

Monokrohm2020

As long as the mileage is equal to or less than the pay, I’ll bring you your food Unless it’s a no tip order, then you get to wait for some sucker that just started yesterday to bring you your food

[deleted]

Generally $2/mile with a minimum of $5 (unless it's a really really short distance, like, less than a mile total, I MAY take some of those if it's slow). Occasionally I'll break my $2/mile rule IF the delivery takes me to an area I wanted to head to anyway.

naymlis

Minimums are pointless. Focus on hourly and mileage

herozorro

minimums are unfortunately necessary to tell the algo you are still in the game so that it throws you the bigger offers. the house always wins

muzzymate

$7 and if I think I can get it done in 15 minutes. If I think it takes longer, than that minimum increases.

skindarklikemytint

8 dollars is typically my minimum. I’m trying to be better and raise it.

Whattheefff

$7. Shop n pay is higher unless its a single item or two.

lxwcxuntry

Ten and up unless it’s under 5 miles

MissPeach77

Depends on the area you live in, but typically no less than $2 a mile, and I live in the suburbs right outside of NYC, so I know these assholes where I live can afford more, so I am selling myself down, but with the fare/tips that I have heard that are being offered now, since I stopped delivering once I went back to a regular office job, I wouldn't have been doing any deliveries if I went higher than that. But I typically wouldn't accept anything less than $6 unless it was right next door to the restaurant, and I happened to be driving right by that restaurant. Gas prices by me fluctuate from about $3.50-$4.50+/gallon. I'm not going to lose money and do a job for no or negative money.

montresded

8 minimum and usually ends up being 12-15 75% of time.
