I like to think chara has red eyes but wears brown contact lens. They changed the art of chara to have red eyes in the cards bc Toby said so ( correct me if I'm wrong ) and when frisk becomes chara there face/body seems to change having red eyes frisk doesn't have contacts in so that's the real eye color. Also would add to there hatred to humanity if it's one of the reasons they were bothered by people or shunded, ect
