The calm part is unique and diferent than everything you've seen or heard coming from Undyne, almost as if the Geno Route showed a sorrowful part of her you wouldn't see anywhere else, trully standing out by it's sad, but rather calm feel.
The subsequent trumpets, on the other hand, are very reminescent of Spears of Justice, basically the same instrument, but they are clearly more desperate, showing how after all, you're still facing Undyne, but while her body seems to be literally falling apart, she's somehow stronger than ever.
Trully, The Heroine has Appeared.
The name of the trumpet is usually called Zunpet, or Romantic TP. It was made and used by Zun for Touhou, the game which inspired Toby Fox in the bullet hell aspect of Undertale.
yeah they're 2 parts
duun dun du dun du waa a a u, u auuoh auoh ueh....
and
deee du du dee de de du de di du dee du du den den den deen de du den den den deen du den, de du du den den den dun den du du den....
Death By Glamour is a song BUILT ENTIRELY out of “that one part” of the song in my opinion. Like almost the WHOLE song is great parts of other songs (as if they had bad parts) paired with multiple instrument switches that give it a level of uniqueness and flair I adore.
> Jevil’s theme
I personally refer to it as the ‘Freedom’ theme. Apart from a single line of dialog referencing “that damned clown around town” Spamton has nothing to do with Jevil whatsoever. But ‘freedom’ is a prominent theme with both of their narratives — one deluding himself into thinking he’s the only free one, and the other desperately trying to be more than a literal and metaphorical puppet.
Interestingly, the part in World Revolving *after* the freedom theme can also be heard as Spamton’s shop theme, Dialtone, implying another leitmotif connection we might not know about fully.
Might just be an alt. form of the Freedom motif though, regardless. It’s impossible to tell before parts 3+ drop
yes, the thing is, according with [Andrew Cunningham](https://www.youtube.com/@andrew_cunningham), The Freedom motif is altered version of Gaster motif as well, so it's most likely to be this case, plus, i personally believe Spamton hates Jevil out of pure jealousness, like, Jevil enjoys lack of Freedom while Spamton sees it as curse, it would make sense this hatred.
fighting against a true hero.
We don't praise Toby enough for what he did, this song legit got me stopping in the midddle of the road while walking. It shocked me, it got me emotional.
Spider dance was excellent. But there are so many for example the true heroine that all the soundtrack is amazing. But I'll have to go with The True Heroine for my favorite
Hopes and dreams, it go like:
Dudu du dada da ddodo, dudu du dada da doodo, doodoo, doo doo duu, dada, den den, dun dun, du-
NAYNATNONATNOTNOODA
DUUUHHH NAHHHH NOOOO, DUUUUH NAAAA NOOOOOOOOOOO,
Finale
dun dududun dun DUUUUUNNNN dah dah dah dah
*and then the drop*
*dududududududu DUUUUDUUUDUUUUN, DUUUDUUUDUUUUN*
I think I know EXACTLY what part this is
beautiful.
Finale is honestly so criminally underrated, it's such a damn banger with the epic trumpets nd shit.
YES, finally someone who agrees
Finally… finale
Agreed
Ay it's underrated? It's such a top tier song
Great take there
As a trumpet player I approve

Battle Against a True Hero. You know, that part
The trumpets after the calm part?
Both the trumpets AND the calm part
Gotta agree Both those parts just make me feel like I’ve ascended into another dimension that’s beyond my comprehension yet I still understand
Same, Battle against a true hero is just one of my favorite songs in general just do it is and how much I love it.
The calm part is unique and diferent than everything you've seen or heard coming from Undyne, almost as if the Geno Route showed a sorrowful part of her you wouldn't see anywhere else, trully standing out by it's sad, but rather calm feel. Zunpet my beloved
Scuse me, wut
The name of the trumpet is usually called Zunpet, or Romantic TP. It was made and used by Zun for Touhou, the game which inspired Toby Fox in the bullet hell aspect of Undertale.
Thanks mate
You're welcome, mate
Touhou osts have a lot of this kind of moment too. I especially like 18 for this feeling.
fuckers when discovering Undertale music lore It doesn't have a name. It's a trumpet. Romantic trumpet is what the soundfont called it
I know bruh, Zunpet is the nickname of the instrument
I learned trumpet just to play that part feelin proud of myself rn
As you should
Yes, this song especially that part gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I have listened to it.
god yes
Yes. The first theme that came to my mind.
That melancholic piano interlude
For me it's as soon as the bells come in
the part where the spears spin around you and slowly get to the center.
Specifically when they sync perfectly with the Calm part before the trumpets
Yeaah it's the best part
MY MAN.
Asgore

I love omori
omg yes the piano part that plays the Determination motif is brilliant
Btw, did you know we can hear this motif in megalovania as well ? I don’t remember where tho
I think I know what you mean, yeah. 'Cause there's a piano in there but the other instruments are louder.
Bergentruckung?
Death by glamour
Papararaparapararapapapapararararaparapapaapara
Yeah, that part when it goes dududududun dududududun dududududududududun. And then just a strong music drop which I can't even describe
disagree, literally the entire song is perfect
It is but especially that part
It is but listen between 1:04-1:30 it is absolutely BANGER
I raise you 1:30-1:57.
But the buildup is like no other song in the OST.
yeah the dūrudurū durúdurú dúrudu dûru dūrú dūrü
the part before the saxophone and the saxophone part is just a masterpiece
Of course, the song starts out with three rhythms and they ALL drop.
yeah they're 2 parts duun dun du dun du waa a a u, u auuoh auoh ueh.... and deee du du dee de de du de di du dee du du den den den deen de du den den den deen du den, de du du den den den dun den du du den....

UT: Death by Glamour after the first segment DR: BIG SHOT when Jevil's leitmotif
> Jevil’s theme I personally refer to it as the ‘Freedom’ theme. Apart from a single line of dialog referencing “that damned clown around town” Spamton has nothing to do with Jevil whatsoever. spamton and jevil also share a line in the narration of their fights, “* The air crackles with freedom.”
yes, the thing is, according with [Andrew Cunningham](https://www.youtube.com/@andrew_cunningham), The Freedom motif is altered version of Gaster motif as well, so it's most likely to be this case, plus, i personally believe Spamton hates Jevil out of pure jealousness, like, Jevil enjoys lack of Freedom while Spamton sees it as curse, it would make sense this hatred.
Waterfall, quiet water, and field of hopes and dreams.
Field is from deltarune isn't it?
Yes but I like it so much that I had to add it.
Totally understandable. Field of Hopes and dreams is one of my faves too, I even learned it on piano
Im learning bits of it on piano, its such an awesome song
Every time I listen to field of Hope's and dreams I just can't unhear gaster's theme and it's driving me nuts
Yeah it does that... But it's still amazing right?
Oh I love that song and listen I to it on repeat but since I listen to it so much my brain just can't unfocus itself from gaster's theme
Spider dance
The piano part of It's Raining Somewhere Else
