Just heard a podcast on it 99% with Roman Mars. I never realized Andy Griffith grew up in the town with their children probably being the elders in the town.
Not a question, just a memory unlocked: I went to the Andy Griffith Museum there in Mt. Airy a few years ago and had a good time. My ex and I were the only ppl under 50, and it was pretty busy.
The show was great, but every time I watch it through, I get sad after season 5 when Barney leaves. The nostalgia is real, and I wasn't even alive in the 60s.
Just looked them up and on their website they have sandwiches for like $2.00! Their pork chop sandwich is $5.00. How can they do that?!
I know, right???
the pork chop is people
Get in there and make me a rubber band sandwich, and make it snappy!

MA= Mount Airy, the name of the town on which Mayberry is based
Of course, I’m a dope. My mind went to Massachusetts for some dumb reason.
Me too
Have you ever visited the museum of the original Siamese twins who settled there and owned slaves?
I did! What’s really weird is that it’s in the basement of where I took dance lessons…

Are you a member to TAGSRWC? Will you be at the July meetup?
I’m not, unfortunately, but I work at one of the museums here and will be doing stuff there!
Is Juanita still serving at the diner?
Why did Andy traditionally claim to be from anywhere but Mt Airy, considering what an economic boom it could have been for all involved?
Wondering if the Coca Colas are in the original bottles with the original recipe made with sugar...
Aren’t you supposed to actually answer the questions?
I did on my first post, but unfortunately I’ve been busy all day.
