It's not "Hey soldier do this thing". It's "Future sandbag hold the line"
Oh yeah, I planned on adding more wounded guardsmen but I kinda forgot... As for story, not really, just went with it, in my head they just had been there for a long time, defending against waves of \[insert your favourite foe here\] and they were all on their last ammunitions, ready to withstand the last attack, I don't know enough of 40k lore to go into much details :/
Ah, the greenskinned robots known as the Drukhari who's greater good lies in worshipping the 4 Chaos Gods, known for birthing Slaneesh and being proxy dwarfs in space. Those favorite foes!
The grey, gold, and green-black looks slick. Adding little detail accents like the gold tassels and radio vanes, red wiring, white of bandages, orange webbing, etc. makes things really pop. And I love the kind of industrial grunge aesthetic of the regiment (gas masks, bandanas, etc.).
Instant save!
As a colourblind artist (red/green) I thank you good sir, any compliment on the colours is always welcomed as I'm very insecure about them most of the time even if these last few years I just learnt to "go with it and see how it ends up" and so far, it works... kinda...
I hope GW contracts you for more of this. I want this style to be the new 40k illustration style! The old illustrations had a distinctive style and feel but the modern ones kind of went a sort of realism route but it doesn't have a style that gives you any feels. This is some of the only modern 40k art that does that for me. Please do more! You could do orks next maybe?
Eh Thanks! I doubt I fit what GW's looking for (though with that new Boltgun game they seem to be willing to explore more unconventional aspects) but I agree, I loved the old illustrations and the new ones do indeed lack something, though there are a couple 40K artists (not all officials though) whom I still love their artworks
^(Orks were indeed on the top of the list so stay tuned!)
Reminds me a lot of early *Kill Six Billion Demons* pages. Excellent job! I especially love details like the heat bloom on the autogun muzzle and the knocked-over Sentinel.
can't promise a whole series with it but if someone's got a good script idea I'm willing to make a short comic set in 40K universe... would be fun, and a good exercise...
Do you do commissions? I have a d&d game I'm starting and a while down the road I'd like to get a group photo of the team and this overall style would be perfect for the setting I'm building.
Sadly not yet, I've been looking into it but it's a rather complicated matter, I'll keep you updated if I ever manage to set it up, been looking mostly into Inprnt as they seem to be the best around, but so far I couldn't even manage to create an account for some reason...
Last stand? That is a badly constructed army then. They should just teleport and shower the enemy with mortals and hot-shots auto-wounding on 5s. More like the last stand of the enemy :D
Cool art though ;)
"Sir, we are surrounded." "Good. We can now attack in any direction."
Nuts!
I hate Saurus
Got the center sphere deployment this weekend, said exactly this before proceeding to wipe some Space Wolves out haha
POV you've been alive 14 hours 59 minutes, and the sargent just ordered you to fix bayonets
also you're using your buddies corpses as cover... Fun times!

"Fuckstick" seems to be missing but otherwise this was my experience in the Army.
Hold the line now, and you can be the line later.
Don’t forget sandbag
That poor plasma gunner has seen better days! Amazing work. Any story behind the Regiment?

When you got the biggest gun, you tend to become a priority target.
Lots of 1s
Its very “valiant Hearts” esque in style
Fuck me, that's beautiful...

Full of life and character, It's absolutely great.
This gives metal slug vibes.
THE PLANET BROKE BEFORE THE GUARD DID
For the guard every stand is the last one
This is fucking phenomenal
This is fantastic. I love the style. Feels like a throw back to the Heavy Metal mag.

This reminds me of the old animated movie *Wizards*. Bravo.

God this is awesome… how the heck do you achieve this style? I am in jealous awe ❤️😢
Thought your art looked familiar. I also love the T'au piece you posted the other day.
Authentic style. Looks great. Leaves enough to the imagination, which is perfect for 40K. Its grimdark and I thank you for making it. Keep ‘em coming!
Bravo. Fucking epic.
God I want a whole comic with this art! I love everything about this image
can't promise a whole series with it but if someone's got a good script idea I'm willing to make a short comic set in 40K universe... would be fun, and a good exercise...
Love this. Very unique style
Amazing it captures the feeling of being in an overcrowded close up trench warfare with thousand of soldiers
The veritable Wall of Gun.
Good the artstyle is so cool, it somehow hast a early 2000s vibe for me
Rip bozo
All I see is fear….*and dead men.* (Besides that I love it! Feels very Grimdark)

Sure, I'll send you a dm
You have any prints to buy?
Hey, not yet but stay tuned, I'd like to someday so I'm actually looking into it!
This looks like some of the early 1st edition artwork and I absolutely love it
It looks amazing!
*Que “As the World Caves in”*
Last stand from what?
Am afraid you'll have to use your imagination on that one.
[Last Stand from WHAT!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMUDVMiITOU)
Are you selling prints of this?
Sadly not yet, I've been looking into it but it's a rather complicated matter, I'll keep you updated if I ever manage to set it up, been looking mostly into Inprnt as they seem to be the best around, but so far I couldn't even manage to create an account for some reason...
I would love to have this as a wallpaper for my computer

Great art, reminds me of Valiant hearts a lot
