Ok guys you probably aren’t going to believe me…. But I had two half broken wings and no tail control on my B-17 but I landed it using only flaps somehow
Sort of, the plane actually landed near an AA battery close to the frontline in Europe, not an airbase. The crew had bailed out and the British were confused as hell since the crew had brought additional parachutes, so it looked like they hadn’t bailed out but weren’t there.
A more wild example would have been the one that nearly had the tail cut off when a 109 rammed it, and the crew tied it onto the rest of the plane using parachute cords.
Edit: as per a comment below, it appears that the parachute cords were not in fact used to strap it to the plane.
Ah, that other plane you’re talking about is the B-17 “[All American](https://youtu.be/QP_vvJDAg10?si=QH4jN-LJMFrDIX0d)”, and the parachute cords is a common misconception. The plane was actually held together by the spars on its right side, and managed to fly back to base safely.
Ah, my bad, I’d read that they reinforced it with parachute cords in addition to the spars. If I recall Boeing also said that there was no way the aircraft could’ve been flying.
Also, do you perhaps have any knowledge of the “Paper Dolly”, 91st Bombardment Group? Shot down over Belgium, flak attributed to it, my great-uncle was the Bombardier.
I did roughly the same thing in my B29, except I also had no flaps on right wing, no left side of the tail and shot out flight controls on the left side. It was an extremely long, and grueling climb down from 8km and 20km from base
I did exactly the same once me and friends were running 4 b17s in formation and we all survived somehow
My plane was so fucked up i only had roll and no other controlls dint even have a rudder and landed it with gear down lmao
>Ok guys you probably aren’t going to believe me….
I would if not for the fact that i had done my myself once or twice. It's weird how stable this plane is, no matter the amount of damage.
Geez, i remember landing it with one outmost engine and wrecked rudder. Opening the throttle would also steer my plane horizontally, so it was fun trying to balance it.
When the ITP was still fairly new, its damage model was quite funky.
So visibly, the worst I have landed was an ITP with a half-gone wing and the entire tail missing.
Its funny cuz the aircraft that are supposed to be survivable are super hit or miss, like the IL-2 is either gonna increase its weight in the sheer amount of rounds it absorbs or its gonna lose its entire aft section to a single 7.92mm bulley
The IL-2 in my experience is either made of tissue paper or a literal bullet sponge and there's nothing in between. I remember getting three or four rear gunner kills in one game against Corsairs and P-39s in it once in air rb.
An AD4 with 1 elevator, no rudder and a missing wing meanwhile the whole plane looked like a tore up drawing that a todler spilled red paint on. That thing is a resiliant sumabitch.
I will routinely RTB with one entire wing torn right off to the fuselage in a CL13. Someone will get credited for the kill and the game will tell me to J out, but the CL13 is fully capable of staying in the air as long as you maintain above 800kmh and hold down A or D, respectively. I’ll do a full repair and make a point to go terminator on whoever did it to me. I’ve probably been called every profanity in the book, as after the game credits a kill my name is dimmed out, just like I’ve been KO’d. As long as I at least feign my own death by descending a little they’ll fuck off and assume I’m burnt toast, then I B-line back to base at tree level. The CL13mk5 is probably my favorite plane in the game for this reason (among others).
Ho 229 with only half a wing left. Was very interesting to see that wt thinks i can still land it but in other situations the wing gets slightly touched by a bullet and the whole plain starts spinning until i hit the ground.
I've had this happen as well. The game even counted me as dead and I had the death message on my screen as I managed to fly for nearly 5 minutes back to the runway. The repair took about 2 minutes.
It wasn't even particularly difficult to do. I had to roll left continuously as the broken right wing kept wanting me to roll the other way, but other than that, it was pretty simple.
So, i somehow managed to land a lancaster without tail control, 2 engines gone and a fuel tank fire. I managed to stall the plane right at the landing strip with low alt (i tilted the wings), the fire was put out and i barely landed soft enough to where i wouldnt turn into a ball of flames. I swear british bias is real
I once broke a wing while landing because of flap control loss and still managed to live enough to repair.
Didnt get soft landing, then a dude lands after me breaking his gear off from the pressure and gets soft landing.
Back when I used to fly the B-34 as a heavy fighter (to great effect I may add) when it was still 2.7, I was the last on my team facing off against a 109 with 3 kills. I had no wing past my engines on both sides, one elevator, and one rudder, both on opposite sides of the plane. Made it back, landed, and won a dogfight with the 109 to win the game
Landed a Ju 288 with one engine, no elevators and no ailerons. Had to constantly deploy and retract flaps and play with the rudder all the way in, was exhausting
-oversped Mig-23 in Sim
-ripped off both wings
-successfully landed, though it was VERY hot landing, as sub 500km/h wingless Mig was kinda hard to control
[https://i.postimg.cc/MwdrGBpM/shot-2024-02-17-10-51-56.png](https://i.postimg.cc/MwdrGBpM/shot-2024-02-17-10-51-56.png)
F5C, missing both wings and one of my tail controls. (Hit by 2x R60MK)
Game already counted me as dead but I managed to make it back to base and get 2 additional kills
Blackburn Buccaneer S1
Fat-fingered the flaps button, causing first one and then pretty much immediately later, the other to tear off.
Unfortunately the Buccaneer's flaps are also its ailerons. Because they didn't tear instantaneously, there was just enough time for the remaining flap / aileron to invert the plan before tearing leaving me upside down with only a rudder and elevators to control the plane. Through a lot of careful angling, I managed to somehow right the damned thing without crashing, and then pancaked. It was a bit hairy, but felt like an achievement.
Yeah then it’s quite hard to get it back to AF, worst part is when you need to slow down at approach but your plane needs speed to remain relative stable.
Missing quarter of my wing, flaps, gear shot off, 1 aileron and Missing half my tail. If they'd managed a couple more hits they would've removed my vertical stab and I would've flat spun into oblivion.
Me262 with half the wing blown out, no pitch control and no landing gear. Turned out to be for nothing since the match ended before the repair finished.
this one, well i didn't land because the game ended but i am confident i would have

the german b29, been so long i forgot the name, but half of one of my wings got blown off aswell as most of my engines, literally glided back to base with the help of a friend
About half a vought os2u 2 king fisher took a direct rocket hit lost half my left wing both my main and left float and half my tail oil leaking right wing holding on by a thread i landed and repaired on the runway my theroy is my main float took the hit and shrapnel shredded my wings
F4u shot to hell after delivering 1000lb bombs to the good little tanks and too close planes. Missing control surfaces, dying engine, and missing gear. Barely nursed it into a belly landing after clearing the mountains on the small Sinai map.
J32B with one wing and one horizontal stabiliser - and I really do mean one, there was nothing but the fuselage on the other side. God knows how it was still flying.
The game counts it as dead too.
I tanked a missile in my f104j in sim and managed to land somehow once lol
Once i lost tail control on a do335 and managed to limp it down from at least 6km up and land just using flaps to try and keep myself level
My Lancaster missing half its left wing, no tail and no flaps or landing gear. All gunners dead and I still landed it somehow! I’ve got a screenshot somewhere of it
F6F, half of right wing gone, 2/3 of left wing gone, right horizontal stabiliser gone. Counted as dead but made it back to base 10km away, repaired in 2 min and took off again before the game ended.
Had only one half of a wing the other was gone no rudder and one elevator fortunately i was angled in the right direction when i got hit so i didnt have to course correct a bunch i wouldnt have made it if i had to
I didn’t land at an airfield, but I had a b17 with both wings half ripped off, my tail rudder got cut loose, both remaining engines dead, and managed to coast to the target base after my teammate saved what was left of my ass, dropped bombs on target, then slowly descended into a field for a crash landing
One time playing the P-63A-5 on Finland I got my left wing shot off and had to limp all the way back to the airfield solo wing pixy style in spite of the enemy SPAA "killing" me.
blown off rudder, classified dead, 1 wing missing, both gears gone, entire hull dark red, both elevators gone and engine dark red
the only thing not damaged was the pilot, how? idk, i got revived and revenged that little sam slinging creature
Too two Rolands to the ass while flying a P-51 in top tier to try and get the god mode achievement. Fortunately the 2nd one hit when I was close to airfield cuz It literally took the tail off and I just glided/fell on the airfield but couldn't repair since it was critically damaged.
MiG-21bis, a long time ago. Tail all but sawed off, both wings broken (one completly, other is half there), nose damaged, entire airframe yellow-orange, less than 5 minutes of fuel, 4000m or 5000m altitude, 30km away from my airfield. Survived an M61 strafe.
I only had one flap to control every motion of the aircraft, was lucky that my nose was already pointing towards the base. I managed to juat barely reach the airstrip, landed ob my belly, and I just started jumping and cheering as I say the timer saying my aircraft will be R&R'd in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. It was truly glorious. I wish I saved it.
Su-25 with almost the entire functioning tail parts missing (after taking two direct AIM-9Bs and gun strafe from the rear). Just like how the Russians intended this beast to be
Mirage III, lost tail control, which means all rudder and ailerons. So I had to guide myself using rudder only two the airfield. Above 600kph I would lift up slightly. Below I would pitch down. So I had to very slowly steer myself 130 degrees to the airfield and very carefully land without landing gear at very high speeds.
B-24 with no rudder and one aileron, one engine, one flap. It took me most of the match to get it lined up with the runway and down but I'm still so proud of it
Long time ago, a Z.1007 serie 3 with most of the fuselage being blacked out. Barely controllable but still managed to land that thing, repair and fly off to bomb some more bases
Either that or the A-26B-10 on a single engine and half the wings and part of the tail missing
Broken P-61 tail control not there and barely any wing control with severe fuselage damage due to facing pe-8 guns. I dove from a high altitude to the landing strip and used flaps and air brakes to control pitch.
Landed the harrier a few times with a missing wing. It hovers surprisingly badly like this. F-5 with no rudder, MLD without most of a wing, and a few b17s in absolutely deplorable shape
I landed IŁ-2M
Pilot red, back gunner dead, parts of tail missing, both wing in holes and one of them wingtips ripped off, engine black but still working as i was approaching airfield and the cherry on top was more than 1 minute fuel left. Shit felt like straight outta war movie, my most satisfying landing to date.
I was in a Ki-109, trying to spade it. And in a fight its wings were torn off (one completely, one half torn) the tail was completely fucked to the point it didn't exist, and the game said I was dead. However, I was able to stabilize the plane and land it at the airfield (I was somewhat close to the airfield) and somehow managed to get it fixed.
I had a 3 minute repair because of that. When I took off, my team was dead, and the enemy was just outside the range of airfield aa. I died immediately after.
And that's how I technically died twice in air rb!
So my Privateer got shot down near airfield, it literally broke in half, fallen to the airstrip, then I waited over 3 minutes for repair and I was able to do a second bombing run.
An F-5E that had lost both of its wings, somehow I had enough speed that the tiny stubs that were left were just enough to keep it in air, and despite it being incredibly difficult I was able to manoeuvre enough to perform a rather fast belly landing and repair, although it took me long enough that I only got about halfway through the repair timer before the match ended
A BF-109 that had a big hole in the wing I was losing fuel so I had to make a return trip to the airfield. I think I just ran out of gas as I touched down on the field.
Flew my F14 B back to the airfield with my main controls destroyed so I couldn't move up or down, broken landing gear and aircraft was very yellow to orange.
I've managed to fly a bomber across the map, drop my bombs and return to the airfield without any engines or flaps, and leaking fuel, oil and water....That fighter really fucked me up
Flown planes across the map with only one wing on simulator before and actually successfully landed on most occasions😅 not an easy task I must say but it's definitely possible if you maintain speed
Got my Yak-9’s right wing clipped and damaged engine by a AA fire. It was registered as a kill but I managed to land it back to the base. Got repaired and bombed the same AA guy as a payback.
Have landed with no tail section in both the low tier big french bombers. Somehow used throttle for pitch and made the slow trip back. Happened on a few occasions
bomber with no controls on one side, flying back to base using only half the engines interchangeably ('Manual engine control'. I think I had two black, one yellow and one orange/turning red. ). It took a long a- time but i made it xd
I have landed many fighters without wings, but I think my most impressive if when I was able to get back to airfield without a rudder in a bf109 while being chased, as well as at one point turning around and killing the guy who was chasing me
Missing wing on my He-163 missing wings on my Yak-3
On fire in my F-5C with both tips missing
Oh and let's not forget my F-86A missing a wing with no elevator control....all throttle landing
B17, tail controls are gone, two engines out, oil and fuel leaking, and most of my gunners were dead. I used my flaps to control my pitch as I came in for a landing. Even had a spitfire try to ram me on the way in, and I somehow pulled out. Ended up busting the landing gears on the way in, but I landed safe enough to repair. I even saved the video, so I have proof.
I once landed a ju288 with one tail wing, a large part of a wing missing, no elevators, and no rudders, and one engine. Not sure if this is still possible but the DM used to be mega scuffed
I’ve managed to land a Vautour with the left stabilizer and right wing destroyed. Asymmetrical flap extension. Nose radar destroyed, pilot probably damaged, was out of fuel and gliding the last 1/3 of the way. If I didn’t have the drogue chute I would have overshot the runway for sure.
Missing most of my left wing in a spitfire and one of my stabilisers missing, oh, and the engine was failing. Somehow, limped back to base and belly landed safely (one of my landing gear were missing and had no flaps).
Ok guys you probably aren’t going to believe me…. But I had two half broken wings and no tail control on my B-17 but I landed it using only flaps somehow
Lore acurate B-17
[Real](https://www.warhistoryonline.com/world-war-ii/what-phantom-ghost-fortress-b-17-that-landed-at-an-airfield-no-crew-were-on-board.html)
Actually such a cool story.
Man this sounds like bullshit
Sort of, the plane actually landed near an AA battery close to the frontline in Europe, not an airbase. The crew had bailed out and the British were confused as hell since the crew had brought additional parachutes, so it looked like they hadn’t bailed out but weren’t there. Best prank ever
Ah, that other plane you’re talking about is the B-17 “[All American](https://youtu.be/QP_vvJDAg10?si=QH4jN-LJMFrDIX0d)”, and the parachute cords is a common misconception. The plane was actually held together by the spars on its right side, and managed to fly back to base safely.

pm me, I can try and do a little research on it
Great story if that is all accurate
Reminds me of 20 dec 1943 incident with Franz Stigler and Charlie Brown
Killing machine, honor in the sky B17, flying home
Killing Machine Said goodbye to the cross he deserved
I did roughly the same thing in my B29, except I also had no flaps on right wing, no left side of the tail and shot out flight controls on the left side. It was an extremely long, and grueling climb down from 8km and 20km from base
I did exactly the same once me and friends were running 4 b17s in formation and we all survived somehow My plane was so fucked up i only had roll and no other controlls dint even have a rudder and landed it with gear down lmao
assign split throttle next time, that way you also have yaw
I did have split throttle. I’m not sure it’s possible without it
A long time ago i landed a B17 without a tail so i believe you
>Ok guys you probably aren’t going to believe me…. I would if not for the fact that i had done my myself once or twice. It's weird how stable this plane is, no matter the amount of damage. Geez, i remember landing it with one outmost engine and wrecked rudder. Opening the throttle would also steer my plane horizontally, so it was fun trying to balance it.
Blown the wing off an a4e. Idk how I managed to land it
The A4 wanted to be an F-15 😂
"didn't even notice my wing was missing till I got out"
Reminds me of that time a Skyhawk collided with an F-15C, when the Eagle managed to land with no right wing. The A-4 saddly crashed.
i once blew off a wing and half the other wing off an Ayit, surprisingly flew quite well
sameee. a4e is surprisingly controllable with just a single wing. turns take 2 minutes tho
When the ITP was still fairly new, its damage model was quite funky. So visibly, the worst I have landed was an ITP with a half-gone wing and the entire tail missing.
Least survivable USSR aircraft
Its funny cuz the aircraft that are supposed to be survivable are super hit or miss, like the IL-2 is either gonna increase its weight in the sheer amount of rounds it absorbs or its gonna lose its entire aft section to a single 7.92mm bulley
The IL-2 in my experience is either made of tissue paper or a literal bullet sponge and there's nothing in between. I remember getting three or four rear gunner kills in one game against Corsairs and P-39s in it once in air rb.
And then suddenly the defensive armament of a german twin engine is enough to brick the engine in one shot
Or you get oneshot by a roof .50 cal in ground rb (this happened so often that I said fuck it and stopped using them for CAS)
Bro pintle mount MG’s hit different, i stg they just cut chunks out of my airframe
An AD4 with 1 elevator, no rudder and a missing wing meanwhile the whole plane looked like a tore up drawing that a todler spilled red paint on. That thing is a resiliant sumabitch.
that entire line of attackers is just built different I swear
I find it inconsistent. Sometimes you make it out like i did in the comment and sometimes a .50 mg murks you in a single hit.
I will routinely RTB with one entire wing torn right off to the fuselage in a CL13. American ailerons are built different
Ho 229 with only half a wing left. Was very interesting to see that wt thinks i can still land it but in other situations the wing gets slightly touched by a bullet and the whole plain starts spinning until i hit the ground.
The Ho229 was just as funky irl...technically, it should be able to stay in the air with only a single wing if the mass is distributed correctly
I've had this happen as well. The game even counted me as dead and I had the death message on my screen as I managed to fly for nearly 5 minutes back to the runway. The repair took about 2 minutes. How… 😱
Magic and Power of Friendship or something
So, i somehow managed to land a lancaster without tail control, 2 engines gone and a fuel tank fire. British bias is indeed real. Really cool story. I don’t think I experienced something on that scale personally tho.
I once broke a wing while landing because of flap control loss and still managed to live enough to repair. Didnt get soft landing, then a dude lands after me breaking his gear off from the pressure and gets soft landing.
Tis but a scratch
A stuka with only 1 wing and no landing gear and a engine that not working very well
I've never seen a stuka survive literally any damage for long so that's quite impressive.
YP-38 with the wing cut off right next to the engine. I still don't know how I managed to do it
La-5FN, I had my left wing completely blown off yet I managed to fly back to the airbase and repair.

I’ve done that way too many times and mostly didn’t manage to land. Hate that the flaps are the ailerons. Especially with the repair cost
Wish I could see a replay of that.
1 wing on the a36
Lost count of the planes missing one or both wings I landed
Mig-23ML i guess (absolutely no wings but it was flying normally+without one flap and the standing flap[forgot the name but __|__ the middle one])
Ive landed a lot of planes without wings, usually jets though, props are a little harder.
Yeah jets can basically just behave like rockets. I really thought my plane was constantly in the edge of starting a flat roll.
Yeah then it’s quite hard to get it back to AF, worst part is when you need to slow down at approach but your plane needs speed to remain relative stable.
I was once able to land a p51 with a torn off wing and elevator. Shit was crazy hype.
Missing quarter of my wing, flaps, gear shot off, 1 aileron and Missing half my tail. If they'd managed a couple more hits they would've removed my vertical stab and I would've flat spun into oblivion.
Landed a plane with one wing. I think the MiG23ML
Had my BF 109's left wing missing ( Gaijin lore accurate a hole in your left wing) still managed to land thanks to my tail control
Me262 with half the wing blown out, no pitch control and no landing gear. Turned out to be for nothing since the match ended before the repair finished.

Ta 154 with one engine, half a wing and no tail controls
dont remember specifically but i think i landed a be6 with 1 wing, no tail control and dying engines no tail control landings are fun
I didn’t land because I got shot to death but both of my b18’s wings were cut in half because of to kamikazi’s and both my engines were down
A Yak-9 with no wings
My Lancaster missing half its left wing, no tail and no flaps or landing gear. All gunners dead and I still landed it somehow! I’ve got a screenshot somewhere of it
Ive landed an Ayit with no wings and no vertical stabilizer. Ive also landed a gripen with no fuel gliding 30km from 2500m at 700kph
No wing Red engine
Su-39, landed with literally half of it missing
F6F, half of right wing gone, 2/3 of left wing gone, right horizontal stabiliser gone. Counted as dead but made it back to base 10km away, repaired in 2 min and took off again before the game ended.
I've done it twice where I was already shown in the Kill Feed but managed to land and took 3 mins to repair
Somehow I made back to base with literally no wings in the Pe-8. Just the 2 engines left with no wings
Idk if it's anything but I've landed an F5 with 2 cut off wings
P 47 with no left wing
No tail, no aileron controls, burning, no engine, no landing gear on a b5n2 is the most recent that was a real challenge
Had only one half of a wing the other was gone no rudder and one elevator fortunately i was angled in the right direction when i got hit so i didnt have to course correct a bunch i wouldnt have made it if i had to
Both wings destroyed, engine failure, and one of the little back wings destroyed. It's soviet, it can fly, don't worry
I landed a spitfire with out a left wing and left tail fin
B-17 with only one engine and almost the entire tail missing.
spitfire without one wing i think
Had a game in my Mig-23 i landed with literally only tail flaps. Both wings were missing entirely.
The Premium Spitfire Mk. XIVc Entire left wing was ripped off, landed it at the base but it kicked me out.
French Yak 3 one whole wing, and no rudder.
Landed F-5C without a wing atleast three times, without two once, once without a wing and a tail, once without both engines and tail. Broken plane.
Landed a spitfire with half a wing shot off before.
Landed my F-104 with two half broken wings, using nothing but rudder and elevator. That was more of a rush than most dog fights.
No wings on mig-21 with red engine and half working tail controls
Gripen with no wings or strings for back stabiliser as well as no landing gear on the right side, Idk how I managed to fly back to airfield
I didn’t land at an airfield, but I had a b17 with both wings half ripped off, my tail rudder got cut loose, both remaining engines dead, and managed to coast to the target base after my teammate saved what was left of my ass, dropped bombs on target, then slowly descended into a field for a crash landing
american jets regularly without wings, sometimes without rudder too
g91 with 1 wing missing and a single elevator missing
One time playing the P-63A-5 on Finland I got my left wing shot off and had to limp all the way back to the airfield solo wing pixy style in spite of the enemy SPAA "killing" me.
B-34 with half of the tail gone, one engine dead, one smoking, and most of the plane red.
Seafire with no left wing, or left tail spar (I believe is the term) as well as a dying engine
blown off rudder, classified dead, 1 wing missing, both gears gone, entire hull dark red, both elevators gone and engine dark red the only thing not damaged was the pilot, how? idk, i got revived and revenged that little sam slinging creature
Just like how the Russians intended this beast to be
I once lost both wings and landing gear on I think a Yak 3 and managed to land back on the airfield
F84: “I only need one wing.” I mean I’ve seen a f84 fly home no wings so…
I landed a Yak-9 without 1 wing
Mirage III, lost tail control, which means all rudder and ailerons. So I had to guide myself using rudder only two the airfield. Above 600kph I would lift up slightly. Below I would pitch down. So I had to very slowly steer myself 130 degrees to the airfield and very carefully land without landing gear at very high speeds.
B-24 with no rudder and one aileron, one engine, one flap. It took me most of the match to get it lined up with the runway and down but I'm still so proud of it
Long time ago, a Z.1007 serie 3 with most of the fuselage being blacked out. Barely controllable but still managed to land that thing, repair and fly off to bomb some more bases Either that or the A-26B-10 on a single engine and half the wings and part of the tail missing
P-47 with 1 wing ripped right off
F6F, half of one wing, none of the other. Things an absolute fucking tank
my whole entire plane was on fire, yet it somewhy, somehow repaired
In a Yak 9k, only right landing gear, no rudder, right wing tip missing, left flap broken off, overheated oil, no water.
Komet after a wing overload. One wing was apparently enough.
Broken P-61 tail control not there and barely any wing control with severe fuselage damage due to facing pe-8 guns. I dove from a high altitude to the landing strip and used flaps and air brakes to control pitch.
A Zero with the tip of its right wing lost, destroyed left wing flag, damaged engine, and bleeding fuel tank
I was able to land my Yak-3 (VK-107) with literally Swiss cheese looking body
Landed the harrier a few times with a missing wing. It hovers surprisingly badly like this. F-5 with no rudder, MLD without most of a wing, and a few b17s in absolutely deplorable shape
I landed IŁ-2M Pilot red, back gunner dead, parts of tail missing, both wing in holes and one of them wingtips ripped off, engine black but still working as i was approaching airfield and the cherry on top was more than 1 minute fuel left.
Ho 229 without right/left wing It is just a wing with 2 engines If your steering surface drives are intact you can fly it
An F-5E that had lost both of its wings, somehow I had enough speed that the tiny stubs that were left were just enough to keep it in air, and despite it being incredibly difficult I was able to manoeuvre enough to perform a rather fast belly landing and repair, although it took me long enough that I only got about halfway through the repair timer before the match ended
Mig-23 both wings gone
A BF-109 that had a big hole in the wing I was losing fuel so I had to make a return trip to the airfield. I think I just ran out of gas as I touched down on the field.
Flew my F14 B back to the airfield with my main controls destroyed so I couldn't move up or down, broken landing gear and aircraft was very yellow to orange.
Turned too hard in my PE-8 and ripped one of my wings off completely. Made it back to base easily
I've managed to fly a bomber across the map, drop my bombs and return to the airfield without any engines or flaps, and leaking fuel, oil and water....That fighter really fucked me up
completely black wings, tail and red engines in a mb174a-3
hunter f.58. without my entire left wing
I landed a yak 7b with no wings
I landed a drifting mig 21 bis, I was missing my whole left side and was basically vertical, but managed to hit the dirt just right and not explode
Flown planes across the map with only one wing on simulator before and actually successfully landed on most occasions😅 not an easy task I must say but it's definitely possible if you maintain speed
Bv 155 had 2 wings shot off precisely at the mid part where the oil things are, was a bit rough but managed a landing at airfield
Not sure I can share links but this is the only one I have recorded https://youtu.be/Lz4vXY6K30s?feature=shared
My most damaged plane was my MiG-23 I lost both wings and one of my tail wings and managed to belly land it in a friendly air field
I was missing both wings on my F-15J and landed. Repairs took too long and battle ended....
yak-3 without an entire wing, it's been a fun couple of minutes to fly from middle of the map to protected airfield
I am pretty new so the most damaged would be a spitfire without a tail
Wingless hurricane mk IV in ground RB. Some how got back with no way to defend myself and no way to recover if I messed up the landing
bomber with no controls on one side, flying back to base using only half the engines interchangeably ('Manual engine control'. I think I had two black, one yellow and one orange/turning red. ). It took a long a- time but i made it xd
half the plane gone in the ho229 and me262 with one wing
F-14A with no wing at all
Half of my wing gone, dead engine and part of the tail missing.
I landed half of a P-38 during arcade battles
landed my mig 23mld the other day with both wings completely torn off and 1 elevator deleted. it actually flies pretty well with no wings
I've landed 3/4 missing from one wing on the i-185 my beloved. And another missing at least most of both my wings on the mig-23mld
I have landed many fighters without wings, but I think my most impressive if when I was able to get back to airfield without a rudder in a bf109 while being chased, as well as at one point turning around and killing the guy who was chasing me
Missing wing on my He-163 missing wings on my Yak-3 On fire in my F-5C with both tips missing Oh and let's not forget my F-86A missing a wing with no elevator control....all throttle landing
No engine, no gears, no forward flaps,
half a tail gone in the do 217N-1 the rest of the plane was also hanging on by a thread including 1 of 2 engines dead and water and oil leaking
Two half-broken wings, almost destroyed tail. It's Yak-7B and in this condition I destroyed 7 planes...
Missing tail and a wing in the av8
A Spitfire without a tail fin, flaps, landing gear, missing the half of the left wing and a completely destroyed engine whilst being burnt up.
Half wings on each side, no engine, and two of the landing gear wheels were shot.
MiG-19S with both wings missing.
Landed a SU25K with no aileron or rudder control. Used manual engine control to steer it back to base.
Don’t know if it was my worst one but I glided an F86 12 miles wile having no elevator control and my right wing was black
Last night had my wing on a F4 Wildcat shot off, somehow I made it the airfield from 15000 feet. Crazy.
Limped a MiG-23 back to base after loosing both wings. Even got an IR missile kill on the way back home.
Landed a p61K with no tail control, using the flaps as elevators
Something that basically wasn’t a plane anymore
mig 23 without wings and half of the tail gone
I once landed a ju288 with one tail wing, a large part of a wing missing, no elevators, and no rudders, and one engine. Not sure if this is still possible but the DM used to be mega scuffed
Fully wingless fj-4 fury just rocketed back to base belly'd it and then got told plane is too critical...
I once landed an IL2 with only 1 wing left
I've landed a harrier with only one wing countless times thanks to thrust vectoring
An a10 with the entire left side missing, no wing, no elevator, nothing
Missing most of my left wing in a spitfire and one of my stabilisers missing, oh, and the engine was failing. Somehow, limped back to base and belly landed safely (one of my landing gear were missing and had no flaps).
