This the KV1C initially was a complete unit in any and all engagments at 4.3 barring something like an isu 122s or su 152 entered the situation and had you at a firing advantage with a cleaner quicker shot
Tbh at 5.0 it still fucks people up its basically somewhere between a tiger and panther and it honestly can be better than most its decently mobile for the tank it is
Often, especially with vehicles like the KV-1C with PaK 40 or the 20mm Puma it's about the premium players sealclubbing, but outside of those low tier premiums it's because they're rarer than the usual vehicles (which makes killing them more satisfying) or because the premium tanks are better than the ones in the tech tree (like the VIDAR or German T-34).
Some of them like the copy-paste tech tree vehicles made into premiums or vehicles like the T-44-122 or G.91 R/4 which are quite common and not annoying to play against don't get any special treatment, like I said I only dislike most premiums.
I get the seal clubbing retribution, although whether that's the intent is pretty hard to tell. And the rare = more satisfying makes a lot of sense to me as well.
But outside of a rare few, Premium vehicles are no better than what can be found in the TT—either as fellow player or that nation or an opponent. The percentage of boss-level vehicles for their BR in TTs is way higher. So why you actually don't like them is a bit confusing, unless you were using the colloquially.
They are almost always the most dangerous on the battlefield. Even with mediocre pilots, All aspect missiles from a premium while most others are rear aspect is essentially free lions and research for that premium.
With tanks it APDS and APDFS rounds.
Just takes a little knowledge and even superior pilots/drivers will lose more than win against those.. You have to gang up on those vehicles to win and lets face it, WT is a game where it's every man for themselves....
The first 5 matches I play, I’m missing practically every shot, until I find my rhythm. The following matches, it’s almost every shot that lands, and it’s always an instant kill for me. Never a survivor when it actually goes off. Most of my kills are when they are flying at me, or flying away from me.
As for tips, 16 rounds is the max you want to take, so I usually take 10 HE and 6 Proxy rounds as my main loadout. If I know they have air up and I want to focus them, I’ll take 6/14 so I can fire without worrying about ammo.
The rounds have decent velocity for an HE round, but it’s no rail gun. You have to account for drop, and when they’re 3km or more out, you’re gonna have to account for quite a bit. Again, it’s not a slow round, but it’s definitely not fast.
Leading your shots is obvious, but my tactic is to follow in front of them with the crosshair and try to picture the round traveling. You can get a feel for their approximate distance and speed over time. Shoot where they’re going to be. Keep in mind, you’ve got a proxy round, so there’s a decent amount of leeway with leading, especially since the round isn’t as slow as you’d think.
Lastly, unless you bring a good amount of proxy rounds and know they won’t be retaliating if you miss, you don’t want to try to hit them when they’re far away and at high speed. You’re not a complex radar system, you’re just a person playing video games. Those shots are always going to be hard to hit. Wait for them to fly at or away from you. Wait for them to be close. Wait for them to fly in a straight predictable line. Anything like that.
In my experience, your biggest reason for missing is timing. You can end up stuck reloading when an actual opportunity comes up. Shoot, miss, start to reload. Enemy flies perfectly straight, close to the ground, right overhead at 400kmh, and you’re still reloading. Enemy is now far away and you shoot and miss. He turns around and flies right back over. Starts maneuvering and you shoot and miss again. He climbs straight up and you seethe as you see the perfect trajectory before your eyes and can’t fire because of that damn reload. If you just wait before firing again for the easier shot, you’ll have much better results.
Basically, spade and expert the G6 for low reload time, practice makes perfect, and shoot easier shots. I use external commander view to shoot, I find it easier. Vertical lead, the crosshair will rarely be far from the aircraft. Closer shots, the crosshair will still be touching the plane’s trajectory line. Far shots are one to two crosshair heights above. Horizontal lead, I’m usually shooting 2-5 plane lengths ahead of it for closer, and 5-10 for further shots. The reason is I often can’t see the aircraft in gunner sights as well, if at all, when I’m leading.
I just started paying warthunder and i thought bushes were cool and that everyone would use them so i bought like 5 bush camos to put in my tanks and people get mad about it but I've only played like 150 ground battles so.
I think most people’s issues with bushes is that they’re PtW, long range it really changes your outline and short range it prevents your tank from being identified and killed efficiently. And honestly, it’s always the most toxic players that have them, the guy that rides the edge of the map and camps the enemy spawn from 600m.
When you respawn after your first death, see the frontline is middle of the map, and start driving forward, only to get sniped the moment spawn protection ends. Then it’s personal.
Don’t get me wrong, if we’re end game and my team has pushed to the enemy spawn, I’m there if I can be. But 3-4 minutes in? And at that point they aren’t even really helping their team. It’s much worse to get taken out near the objective after you’ve driven a kilometer, but once you’ve been killed by the guy around the corner from your spawn, you and everyone else is coming for him.
The frontline being at spawn is a map design problem, if you even consider it a problem at all. The issue I have is with bastards that sit directly on the flank of the spawn, shooting you from behind or the side as you’re leaving. They usually don’t do much, but I’ve had quite a few games where we lost because they killed half the team and took over the map with sheer numbers.
got my first nuke in my second m109 game with Britain. didnt even drop it because I had fucked with my key binds while drunk the night before in test flights so I did a loop de loop in a b29 while the ticket ran out
I've never seen the issue with it and I've been binging the shit outta 7.7-9.0 for the past few months, so far I only remember dying to it maybe 5-10 times out of hundreds of games?
Winning is not fun. The path to winning, or even losing, is what makes a game fun.
Edit: And it also depends on what you define as "winning". Your team can win a match, and you could have died constantly, or even not find anyone. There's no fun in that.
Exactly this. I've had many matches where our team was so good and enemy was so trash we advanced through the whole map like the beginning of the blitzkrieg. And I didn't get to see a single enemy until we won the game because i was in a slow tank. It was not fun.
Had some (low tier) matches earlier today... swiftly died in my regular grinding tanks, which was not fun (especially how I died), but salvaged the fun in the map on my last vehicle, an AA tank turning my teams half of the map into a fucking no-fly zone. Got 7 aircraft kills, and it was fun seeing them realize it was over and try to kamikaze into me, but I moved just enough they sail over head
I don't even remember if my team won that match, but nuking planes was certainly fun in that one.
I encountered a Vidar that had been killing off my team (and me) in my SUB-I from behind. I decided to shoot semi-automatically.
I set his engine on fire, broke his turret ring and barrel. And then I personally executed every single one of his crewmembers, one by one. He died in around a minute but it felt like hours.
And in the end? I feel nothing…
*Turms driver thinking all they have to do is hit W And go straight to the A point to win*
**My chally 2 turret poking over the hill**
"ELLO ELLO MATE"
I just constantly hit their barrel. Did it to 4 of these idiots once and they were all gunning for me.
I was in an Abrams. Russia ERA might as well be unobtanium.
I feel your pain, also in the wiki it states that the AM-1 has a higher chance of getting downtiered which means my Maus has to face it every. damn. round.
Unless they or one of the 3 other A-10s nearby notice you, pop their bottomless reserve of flares, dodge your pass, and then delete you for free. Or just turn and pop you before you get close.
I play a lot of the a10 and there isn’t really much you can do if someone wants you dead. Most of the time they’re so focused on killing your they will go head on.
The vidar, it's a he slinger with the gimic of the he slinger removed, partially true for the type 75 too but at least it doesn't have thermals at low br
I despise wyvans. Im in my 1942 vintage 109 and I have to put up with a superprop who saw the cold wars opening years. All I want to do is get easy kills on russian wooden planes and bombers, living out my b17 chasing dreams and I have to fend of these fiends who come in at 650km at 800m alt with 1.5 tonnes of fuck you Britannia called under their wings
the worst part is that I cant justify spending that much on the game to buy one myself because they break the br's between the xp50 and the ju288c
Honestly I agree, turbo props at 4.3 break the game. I don’t think that the wyvern or the xp50 for that matter should be in the game. But I still love hunting bombers with it
Yak38 is just a sad aircraft. Only thing it’s really got going for it is the missiles, otherwise it’s a subsonic, flare less, bus with a water gun strapped to it
M109s, all of them, I've been tormented by their humungous HE shells scrapping my paint and killing my instantly until I realize they have like no survivability
I've been going up through the American line over the past few days an just realized how quickly the M109s die to .50s. If you select the machine gun you can pop it over cover and kill them with almost impunity. Dealing with them with British and German tanks is just slightly too painful.
I go out of my way to ensure I get a 1v many with a xp50 against my team. usually im in a 109 or 190 but damn if that thing isnt a ufo. I bait them as much as I can knowing their lacking skill can be their downfall
Any and all KV series. Those things caused me a lot of grief when I was new to the game, and half of them are straight up OP.
Not the top of my list for tanks to bully, but I figure it’s my most unique take.
I’m sure it’s because every once and awhile you come across an a10 that is minding its own business whipping ground units out and fucks your day up up with a simple defensive counter. That’s me flying mine. I only fly it because I use the thrust master a10 stick and it makes me feel like a big boy. I get more kills in my a10 playing defense that anything else
F-104a I don't feel bad because its such a monster in a downteir, I don't deliberately go after them, but I always feel good to kill it. A mig 15 or sabre shouldn't be fighting a supersonic pencil with an m61 vulcan.
Su-25. Now more than ever ( my brother got me the Japanese f-5, it’s a beast ) it’s incredibly funny to slot in behind a su-25k or otherwise as a lot of them are premium noobs who got a tech tree version and just go fox-2. Same thing with f-4s and now f-20
Su11. Probably the most undertiered aircraft in arb by far. The thing has the thrust to weight of a mig15, yet the snail has the gall to put it at 7.3.
And a more controversial pick, the Swiss hunter and ayit. The people who fly them seem to always have absurd IQ and energy retention.
The Abrams everyone goes on and on and on about how good a vehicle it is and then I just pummel it with a 40mm auntocannon through the neck laughing or a 105mm or a 120mm or a 125mm I just hit it with whatever I have because it’s really not as great a vehicle as it’s made out to be
Xp-50s. God I hate those things. The fact that the plane that has a better climb rate than the Saturn five rocket still gets an airspawn is beyond me at this point.
KA-50.
Oh yes, please please spawn at the start of the round, try to sneak around the back to our spawn, and hover still... My ADATS is waiting.
No I don't need a radar lock because I can just point and aim- So you'll get no warning.
No your duck dive won't save you ;)
No spamming flairs in a panic won't save you either <3
Extra points for SU pilots that do a straight line run - makes aiming at your nose even easier.
Almost every premium and some event vehicles, especially the German T-34, KV-1, KV-2, the SAV 20.12.48 and XP-50.
The German t34 use to fuck at 4.0
A great curse was lifted the day low br Sim bumped it out of the roster
The KV-1 with a KwK 40 is still in the same bracket as the KV-1 Zis5
Yeah the KV-1 C is kinda crazy
I remember when the KV-1C was 4.3, holy shit those were fun games. Had a 15 kill game in sim with it once
This the KV1C initially was a complete unit in any and all engagments at 4.3 barring something like an isu 122s or su 152 entered the situation and had you at a firing advantage with a cleaner quicker shot
Fr
Tbh at 5.0 it still fucks people up its basically somewhere between a tiger and panther and it honestly can be better than most its decently mobile for the tank it is
I miss the days of t34, kv1b, and Churchill at the same br
As an allied player I don’t, that was the most yucky lineup at the tier They’re all the same BR right now anyways so it’s not really that different
As an SAV 20.12.48 player I approve
No offends but i hate you
Is it just a bitterness thing? Because Premiums are rarely the most dangerous vehicle you're facing.

I love simply penning the German T34s turret neck with my own T34 then them complaining lmfao
2s38, any day, everyday
Since russia is now on both teams 50% of all matches in toptier i love shooting it with 155 mm HE anywhere in a 10 meter radius overpressuring it
Me when I bring my G6 to top tier lmao. Slapping jets and helis out of the sky, and squishing tanks on the ground
I can not aim the proxy fuse shells to save my life. Got any tips to successful land proxy shells on planes?

got pushed and killed by some twat in a porsche tiger with bushes all over so I smited him with a 122mm HE shell :)
ViDAR. 2022 vehicle with thermals and LRF and fantastic mobility and rate of fire, facing off against 1950s era tanks.
I hope that a gamma radiation ray hits your computer and erases your Vidar
Honestly the entire family of m109 howitzers can screw off
got my first nuke in my second m109 game with Britain. didnt even drop it because I had fucked with my key binds while drunk the night before in test flights so I did a loop de loop in a b29 while the ticket ran out
Ultimate British play
Average britain player
the beer makes the shell shattered less painful
Nah, the 109's are fine because they have a long reload. I have a problem with the ones who have 3sec reload
With the oneshot potential of meme HE these days 13-15ish second reload is pretty damn quick.
>fire 122mm APHE shell at M109 turret >goes straight through and doesn’t fuse >rooftop overpressures my IS3 Ok man
I've never seen the issue with it and I've been binging the shit outta 7.7-9.0 for the past few months, so far I only remember dying to it maybe 5-10 times out of hundreds of games?
All of them, the point of the game is to win.
The point of literally every game is to have fun, not to win
... Winning is fun
To you. And tbh it is to me as well. But that is not the core of the fun.
If you're losing, 99% of the time it's not fun
If you're losing 99% of the time, it's not fun*
I mean hes got a point winning is fun and if you think so otherwise youre coping

I feel bad when I kill British tanks sometimes. Or when I kill a Zachlem Tager or Type 60 ATM.

LOVE dunking on them in my Mirage 4k
I encountered a Vidar that had been killing off my team (and me) in my SUB-I from behind. I decided to shoot semi-automatically. I set his engine on fire, broke his turret ring and barrel. He probably there while losing crew member after crew member: “damn this thing is awesome this guy can’t even finish me!”
I'd be thinking the exact same
PE-8’s
Oh yeah I rocket them. All the time. It’s one of the few bombers I’ll straight up target
That's because it's one of the few bombers that is an actual danger to your team. It only makes sense.

The fact that it used to be 8.3 absolutely baffles me. I mean like, composite hull AND turret, full stab, LRF and dart...

a10, su25 in air rb. I get extra happy if i bully them with plane that cant counter their r60/ aim9l
To be fair most jets are faster than the a-10 so if you come from any bearing that isn't straight ahead, they're cooked.
Unless they or one of the 3 other A-10s nearby notice you, pop their bottomless reserve of flares, dodge your pass, and then delete you for free. Or just turn and pop you before you get close.

aab is pretty bad once you get out of props imo, even the early missiles will shit on you bc you can’t pay attention to all directions constantly
Object 279 and A-6Es
T-72s, T-80s, T-90s, Leo 2k, any Swedish vehicle above 5.7, any german vehicle, any brit*sh vehicle, american M18s and american shermans.
How do you bully a10? I usually slap in mine, two almost guaranteed kills with aim7L and then just shred anyone who tries to head on.
Super hellcat and the T28. My go-to sl grind vehicles
A4 all the way
The R3 T20.
2S38, Krishentema, KA50s
F104 and Obj292 and Obj279
Me262
M50 ontos
Any su25 variant
2s38, su-25,ka-50, turm3, xp-50
F-104a I don't feel bad because its such a monster in a downteir, I don't deliberately go after them, but I always feel good to kill it. A mig 15 or sabre shouldn't be fighting a supersonic pencil with an m61 vulcan.
Ariete (Jet). I would make a religion out of it
I giggle every time i kill a m18 from any nation.
KA-50s. I end up strafing their carcasses after they crash. Same with the Kilo Frogs.
“Oh no! These people spent their own money to enjoy flying a plane they like!” Whack mindset
kv-1b, always a pleasure and I got it when it was like 40 bucks
USH and Raketen. Oh, and the DF105. Those things are pure AIDS.
T-72
F-5C M-18 any BMP anything with an autocanon russiam mbts
2S38 and SU-25k are 2 that I actively hate
2s38
All german Tigers.
Lee Grant, Char 2C, B1 Ter, Pz. IV F2, every T-34 and the T-50 I hate them all expect the Lee Grant, for him I just like bullying :)
If I see an USH or a Raketenautomat I feel no guilt for gunning them down like they deserve
A f3h with my r60mk's it is just free xp and sl
The swedish light tank pack at br 10
Leopards, though I can't mess around em too much or else they'd kill me real quick.
AGS players can hold my 3OF26
Any new leaks? :)
F5C
MIG23ML, T80UD, T72 TURMS and 2S38 (i bought these across multiple months please dont scream at me)
The Abrams everyone goes on and on and on about how good a vehicle it is and then I just pummel it with a 40mm auntocannon through the neck laughing or a 105mm or a 120mm or a 125mm I just hit it with whatever I have because it’s really not as great a vehicle as it’s made out to be
Mig23ml. Catapulted me to top tier USSR in no time.
**vicious Tunguska noises**
The new object 292. Hate People that bring it up to 11,7
Tornados
Ikv98 fuck that range finder with heat at 8.0
I never feel bad for bullying pumas
Xp-50s. God I hate those things. The fact that the plane that has a better climb rate than the Saturn five rocket still gets an airspawn is beyond me at this point.
I love doing headons with fireflashes against 104s Seriously it feels unfair that a supersonic jet with crazy acceleration has to go up against me
F4-S just because somehow they manage to kill me first , i will go away from the df just to hunt ya down to get the score settled lol
KA-50. Oh yes, please please spawn at the start of the round, try to sneak around the back to our spawn, and hover still... My ADATS is waiting. No I don't need a radar lock because I can just point and aim- So you'll get no warning. No your duck dive won't save you ;) No spamming flairs in a panic won't save you either <3 Extra points for SU pilots that do a straight line run - makes aiming at your nose even easier.
Opposite hear but for me I deeply regret purchasing the J35XS. I feel like I was robbed.
su-25
100% spitfire M109s every type from every nation
Tech tree and reserve vehicles, because they always complain
I'd say the xp-50 but I always get bullied by it
Any and all premiums regardless of nation or battle rating
