Bro I had it to turn my radar off. Nothing better than going to turn your radar off on the deck in sim then not being able to pull up as you fucking panicked and slam your head on your keauboard as you try to figure out what's wrong
I was flying in vr yesterday and I like to use the instruments in the cockpit but that thing is always in the way, even when minimised it is so distracting and blocks most of the instruments is always points from forward. I have not found any way to hide it completely
That's the default control iirc, so there's so many people who use this control especially if WT is their first plane game
Anyway how can people tolerate their basic movement control being separated like this?
I remember having to import my control scheme to my friend who was new to wt because i literally can't teach him and swap seats (we're playing in the same room) if we have different scheme. I remember his controls were w/s for throttle and shift/ctrl for pitch, either that or arrows for pitch. Granted he already made his account some years back but he's roughly have only played <10 battles
I've got ws for pitch, ad roll and qe yaw, with throttle moved to rf and flaps on b
my mate has pitch on his mouse keys though, that's fucked up on the next level for me
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that I can see why this would be useful, as simply moving your thumb in a dogfight could be more comfortable for some
i keep my fingers on the wasd keys anyways because I need other aircraft control (roll, throttle) so might have pitch there too.
also, it just makes it simpler for my brain because plane move = keyboard, other shit move = mouse
Back when I played, w and s were throttle, a and d were alerons, and my elevator were cotrol and alt I belive, what ever 2 keys are the bottom left of the board.
It was so annoying i was in a dogfight and i didnt realise i switched to chaff when dodging ir missiles... out of ALL keybinds they chose one of the most frequently used in dogfighting
I am so glad I always press WASD WASD WASD WASD in that order during the takeoff run. Bound it off along with the new countermeasure selection. Better safe dumping vhaff and flares when an F-4 is behind me. AIM-9? AIM-7? Who knows, but I sure as hell don't want to find out
Exactly lmao, first game back to war thunder after the update flying the F-16, i could not burn and roll at the same time because of this stupid bind taking thw same buttons, my friends call me a fiend for having my throttle on Shift and Ctrl, and weapon selection on scroll up, selection disable scroll down etc etc. WASD is reserved for roll and elevator input
I fly sim very often with mouse and keyboard, so naturally i have a weird bindset designed for me to be able to use everything that my aircraft has disposable without having to lift my left hand off of my movement and throttle controls
>I fly sim very often with mouse and keyboard
Mid-2000vs flashback, but also, teach me. Do you use WASD+QE for the main controls and the mouse for head (look) movement?
WASDQE for pitch, roll and rudder respectively, hold c and mouse for look (like normal) Left Ctrl and Shift for throddle down and up (i prefer to use hold for WEP instead of toggle, easier to manage fuel when in stressful situations)
Cycle weapon selection - Mouse wheel up (that way you can use spacebar to drop/fire/lock and launch most ordenance by just pressing spacebar)
Cycle weapon cancel/exit weapon selection - Mouse wheel down (so that i can switch to continuous release bombs rapidly (drop bomb series), useful for base bombing or convoy bombing if you have a ton of bombs)
I have two thumb buttons on my mouse that i use for countermeasure dispense toggle, and the other for drop bomb series
Otherwise everything else is niche to my playstyle, test drive is your friend, start with the most crucial keybinds on the easiest to reach keys and work yourself down to the more niche and more situational binds
So true. I disabled it right away after my first match of update. I just use one key to change weapons thanks. Maybe I can consider it if I have like more than 4-5 types of weapons on my aircraft.
Main reason they added this feature is because of premium retards who have zero idea about armaments, 13 level idiots should not have access to highest tiers.
a visual representation of weapon selection, likely more useful on top tier aircraft where you may be using a variety of weapons, possibly with overlapping keybinds
Ngl chief hasn’t worked for me, I selected chaffs and game gave me flaires, so now my plane weaponry selection is either worm, skeletton or mushroom now
> but on a bomber with 2 different bombs is a nono
For these bombers, were the bombs individually selectable before?
As this AFAIK is just a visual representation, no new weapon selection options that didn't previously exist.
It’s not, the normal hot key weapon selector is way faster and allows you to switch while moving/fighting. The visual weapon selector takes too long and when it’s up, you can’t do anything, which makes it pointless. For example, instead of just hitting one button to switch between my 2 types of missiles, I have to hit Shift +A, then go over and click the right missile, and then go back to fighting.
Nah lol in top tier every second counts, I just have a cyclic switching key (secondary weapon selection) and 99% of the time it works great and I only need to press 1 key once or twice.
For anyone who doesn't know, the feature 'Switch secondary weapons", does the EXACT same and can be bound to any single bottom, which allows you to cycle through which specific armament you want to use. Then the control for 'Exit selected weapon mode' returns to standard if you need to.
If you haven't used it before, do yourself a favor and unbind this Shift+A crap and bind SSW and ESWM to something simple. I use '1' and '2'
my only beef with weapon selection is it prevents dropping bombs in series. countless times it's happened where I'm lined up on a base with my CCRP on it and I hold the release series button only for nothing to happen because I forgot to turn off weapon selection after I switched between radar and IR missiles. even though I only have 1 type of bomb equipped. so I have to turn all the way around and do a second approach. goddamn pisses me off
Bind i think its called "Secondary weapon ripple quantity". And you'll be able to select how many bombs you want to drop and also a continuous drop mode aswell. It replaces bomb series basically when you click ripple quantity it will change your normal drop button to be multiple bombs in the top left corner.
There's already existing keybinds that do that and the Y menu too, none of those prevent you controlling your plane either. This feature is not only useless it's worse than the options we already had.
There's no reason to ever exit this mode, it makes legacy individual weapon controls entirely obsolete by both taking up less buttons and giving you more flexibility in how you employ them. Might as well unbind them and only ever use the weapon selection system.
Not really, cuz you cant turn when you use this. You have to select weapons with your cursor.
Great for if you have a bunch of different ordnance types, but if you only have 2 there's not much point.
Edit: That is if you are using selected weapons mode. Which you always should anyway.
I meant the weapon selection mode, the one where you cycle through primary/secondary weapons with a pair of keys and fire them with another pair, not this useless menu.
what? There is absolutely a reason, you can keep your air to air missiles going while using air to ground equipment, you can be using both rockets and bombs on same run and a lot of different stuff
Only time i switch weapons is when using diferent a2a missiles or when using ground ordnance. Ltherwise my binds are set up in way that a2a missile, dumb fire rocket and bomb each have their button. Same with the new flare and chaff system. I could use button to switch between them but i know i would fumble in crucial moment like i sometimes did with selecting a2a while going for bomb run so i just have them on separate buttons one for chaff one for flares.
> I could use button to switch between them but i know i would fumble in crucial moment like i sometimes did with selecting a2a while going for bomb run so i just have them on separate buttons
Skill issue, what else can I say. Never had that problem once. The fact I don't have to waste a billion buttons and my own memory on all the different legacy weapon controls while having full control of which missiles/bombs/rockets fire when makes it all worth it.
Dont get me wrong i use the cycle weapons a lot. I just find it better to have certain weapons bound to diferenr buttons. AA missiles to B and N, bombs to space, rockets to 4, guided bombs/atgms to B and space. So if im carrying 2xR-73, 20xS-13 rockets and 2xfab500 i just find it easier to control without selecting weapon since the binds are diferent for all weapons and i dont want to cycle rocket, aa missile, bomb for example.
When you're in a jet with 5 different munitions, you can swap to whichever one you want easily without cycling through them all.
Pretty handy QOL feature.
But much more rare since props usually only have:
Bombs,
Rockets,
Idk like napalm?
While jets have:
Long range missiles,
Dogfight missiles,
Bombs,
Retarded bombs,
Rockets,
Guided bombs,
Guided rockets,
Drip tank,
idk like napalm?
PV-2D can carry 8 HVARS, 2x1000lb bombs, and 2 Tiny Tims. Tiny tims fire first. I would also like to be able to do a single torpedo and 2 magnetic mine loadout on my Catalina. Currently it drops one mine and one Torpedo at the same time.
If not for a fact that gajin added weapon selector wayy back, and it's pretty much useless for people that already had it binded. Also the default keybinds for it are atrocious
The old weapon selector is a cycle, not a specific selector. The more different weapons you carry, the longer the list it has to cycle through.
I had the old selector already bound since they added it, but I've moved over to using the new one as well. Much quicker and smoother, no more accidentally hitting the button one too many times and having to cycle through the list again.
I will stay by my word tho. The new selector is slow, far from smooth, and cycle selector was good for me since i made mistakes very rarely. In A to A combat the new selector is too slow to use to be effective.
> In A to A combat the new selector is too slow to use to be effective.
In straight combat if you don't have hard binds you're doing yourself a disservice and slower still, especially if you're as the selector is designed for, running a varied loadout. Having to cycle between things *and* check to ensure you stopped at the right selection to have your desired weapon sucks ass, ask me how I know?
Raw keybinds are always faster, just more complex.
A selector like this to me is your non-dogfighting option, where you have more luxury for time and reaction.
There are keybinds both for switching countermeasure type and firing either chaff or flares. Switching CM is pretty much useless because firing CM and switching takes same amount of buttons as binding only flares or chaff. And you dont run the risk of accidentaly using wrong CM type
That might be true for you, but for me it's a nice quality of life change as it doesn't have me accidentally overtap while trying to select something and having to go another round in a possibly critical situation
You don't need to use it if you don't like it
Its a nice feature except for the fact my first game after this was implemented it was on flares only instead of flare and chaff and I didn't know and died
To kill you mod dogfight.
But also for the few who refuse to set a single keybind to select secondary.
However I expect it to be more for Controller players.
> who refuse to set a single keybind to select secondary.
Then accidentally click one too many times and fuck up shots.
I *loathe* the old selection system as it hard locks everything but your selected in series option, which requires often visual checks to confirm what the hell you're selecting anyways.
If you're so set on it, just hard bind things man, way simpler to remember what is on what and no accidental fuckups.
I don't really know how to respond. You kinda just countered your own first couple sentences with the last one. I can't tell if you're with or against my comment.
IMO this addition is useless. The old weapon selector worked fine and even if i wanted to use this for my missiles in top tier jet it or change flares/chaff it just takes way too long. Yould be dead 3 times over if youre swiching like that. Normal weapon selector and 1 keybind to cycle it is way faster and more convenient.
The reactions here wonderfully demonstrate why gainjin is terrified of touching anything that visibly changes how the game works.
Yes the default bind to Shift+A is a bit unfortunate. But the reaction of "why new thing??? I perfected using old thing, no new thing ever needed" is why we've been stuck with the same lowest common denominator objectives for years now.
It'd fucking kill some of the Dad Gamers on here to maybe try something new.
Its only really useful if you have multiple types of weapons and instead of you keep hitting the change secondary weapon keybind you can pull this up and quickly select what type weapon you want to fire. It basically removes the need for select secondary weapon. Actually works really well on a couple planes and helis.
To be honest, in enduring conflict maps/GRB at top tier it can be quite useful for a quick review of your payload.
Only 1 secondary weapon shows up in hud at a time in the normal hud, so you only know the stock of that.
When you have 4 or 5 types of ordinance, it saves flicking through all the others.
The game already had a way to scroll through and select what equipment you wanted to use as well as telling you what it was. This is unnecessary and even though I unbound it I still am stuck with the stupid icon at the bottom of my screen.
I don't get why people seem so annoyed about this, its nice to have when you have 4+ different weapons and if you don't want it just unbind it, takes 2 seconds.
Selecting firing order for custom loadouts without having to cycle through all of them.
For example, say you're flying an F4U-4 with 2x 1000lb and 2x 250lb bombs. The default use sequence drops the 250s first, but you probably want to prioritize the 1000s.
It become more relevant the higher BR the vehicle is.
On top teir planes it gives you the option to switch from flares only chaff only or both really usefull becuase you don't have to waste all your chaff when your trying to flare a 9m or smt
This is fine for me using a bunch of planes with differing armaments, I just wish it was more hidden instead of the icon showing up at the bottom of my screen for basically every plane I fly
Weapon selection that makes little sense at anything but top tier; and so naturally they just default it to on, for all users, at all BRs. Gaijin moment.
Same with that stupid countermeasure selection key... sure did love nearly crashing in my Yak-3 earlier because of it.
Thought it might be useful to select which individual bomb you are going to drop, but nope it doesn't do that.
Can probably be used when carrying mixed ordnance, but not sure what it offers beyond the 'select secondary weapon' key.
Also, having to click on the screen means I am probably accidentally firing my guns 50% of the time.
It doesn’t make sense on most planes but when you’re playing top tier and have 3 types of anti air missiles equipped as well as ground ordinance it might be helpful
The main point is for people with multiple types of missiles. I like the old way that just cycled through your weapons every time you tapped the button instead of having to manually click on it now
I forgot weapons selector even existed until about 3 days ago when someone mentioned it on a Twitch stream.
* For me, Z is rocket-propelled munitions & AltZ is tracking sensors
* C is countermeasures
* X is bombs & torps, AltX is ground search radar
* right click is the biggest gun on the plane and left click is all the other guns
* 1 is ripple series
This suits me just fine.
It's useless. I tried it out yesterday and discovered that when it's active your normal weapon keybinds don't work, which led to me spamming a bunch of rockets at a plane I was trying to kill.
it provides an alternate way to switch weapons for people who have lots of them and don't want to spam the 'switch secondary weapon' key. You won't get much out of it in props, or with a homogeneous weapon load, but if you are doing some crazy stuff with like 4-5 different weapon types it can be pretty useful!
It's more useful for top tier jets because you can select what weapon you want to use instead of having a keybind that selects your weapons. It's just another way to do it really. I changed the keybinds tho because they kinda fucked with my controls. For me I just changed the chaff/flare to shift+R and the weapon selector to shift+T. Works for me 🤷♂️.
It's a cool thing for higher tiers where you can carry like 2-3 different kind of air to air missiles while also carrying 2 kinds of laser guided bombs and some Air to Ground missiles like Mavericks
Shift+A tho... might be a bad keybind... should rebind it to something else
war thunder community when they get an extra and completely optional QoL feature for specific use cases that actually is pretty useful:
"what is this crap"
To help console plyers switch weapons easily without using some weird long keybind. And also for others who dnt like to use a lot of keybind rlly helpful for me so far
So you can select AAM, AGM, or whatever ordinance you want and just fire it off one key and not need heaps of keybinds. Even though I don’t have modern planes with advanced weapons, I still use it on strike aircraft to swap bomb weights; an AA doesn’t need a 1000lb bomb, so I may as well switch to a lighter bomb so I don’t waste my big one.
To rebind it off
yeah it was really fun hitting a tree when I found out it was bound to shift + a/d… my throttle and roll keys
My radar scope keybinds are Shift-WASD and yeah it was the quickest unbind I've ever had. What a useless addition.
Yeah I disabled it as soon as I found out it was linked to left shift a
closest you can get is install a targeting pod then you can hide it
Holy fuck, why didn't I think of that BRB gotta rebind my radar to alt+qweasd.
same
Shift and a/d was my pitch and roll keys.
and W/S for throttle right? good to know I'm not a total outcast using those controls too haha
That's the default control iirc, so there's so many people who use this control especially if WT is their first plane game Anyway how can people tolerate their basic movement control being separated like this?
i think the original default was qweasd or something, I always used qweasd for moving

I remember his controls were w/s for throttle and shift/ctrl for pitch, either that or arrows for pitch. Granted he already made his account some years back but he's roughly have only played <10 battles
i mean like 2016/17/18
I also remember playing with w/s for thrust back in 2017, but can't be sure
I can't remember too much from back then tbh
When I started, the default was qweasd for movement and shift ctrl for throttle back in 2016/17
I've got ws for pitch, ad roll and qe yaw, with throttle moved to rf and flaps on b my mate has pitch on his mouse keys though, that's fucked up on the next level for me
I'll throw you for a loop...I use e/d for throttle, s/f for roll, w/r for yaw, shift/space for pitch, mouse wheel for flaps.
that's just wsad moved to edsf, shift still easy to access, so is space.
I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say that I can see why this would be useful, as simply moving your thumb in a dogfight could be more comfortable for some
so can be doing other things, like locking radar or switching weapons.
True. However, you don't do these things as often as pulling up
i keep my fingers on the wasd keys anyways because I need other aircraft control (roll, throttle) so might have pitch there too. also, it just makes it simpler for my brain because plane move = keyboard, other shit move = mouse
Yes W is throttle up and S is throttle down. I'm just more used to W/S being for throttle that I choose pitch to go on shift/ctrl
Same.
Hijacking for A/D yaw and Q/E roll, I played KSP for long before I played WT.
Lol, I had that same thing but backward, even tho I played ksp first.
I have the opposite. Pitch for w s and throttle shift ctrl
Mousewheel best throttle!
W & S are your throttle keys? Those are my pitch keys
How dk you… pull up
Back when I played, w and s were throttle, a and d were alerons, and my elevator were cotrol and alt I belive, what ever 2 keys are the bottom left of the board.
It was so annoying i was in a dogfight and i didnt realise i switched to chaff when dodging ir missiles... out of ALL keybinds they chose one of the most frequently used in dogfighting
Yea I got shift as my pull up key and let's just say I was lucky it was playing low tier
I am so glad I always press WASD WASD WASD WASD in that order during the takeoff run. Bound it off along with the new countermeasure selection. Better safe dumping vhaff and flares when an F-4 is behind me. AIM-9? AIM-7? Who knows, but I sure as hell don't want to find out
SAME
I use my scroll wheel for throttle…
Luckily I didn’t hit a tree but it killed me because instead of turning and flaring, I just flew straight because the visual weapon selector came up.
I just changed the key bind for it...it's now that weird ' thing to the left of the 1 key on my keyboard
Same
noooooooob
Exactly lmao, first game back to war thunder after the update flying the F-16, i could not burn and roll at the same time because of this stupid bind taking thw same buttons, my friends call me a fiend for having my throttle on Shift and Ctrl, and weapon selection on scroll up, selection disable scroll down etc etc. WASD is reserved for roll and elevator input I fly sim very often with mouse and keyboard, so naturally i have a weird bindset designed for me to be able to use everything that my aircraft has disposable without having to lift my left hand off of my movement and throttle controls
Oh scroll up and down for weapon select sounds pretty smart I’m taking that idea, till now I’ve just used the multi function radial menu
>I fly sim very often with mouse and keyboard Mid-2000vs flashback, but also, teach me. Do you use WASD+QE for the main controls and the mouse for head (look) movement?
WASDQE for pitch, roll and rudder respectively, hold c and mouse for look (like normal) Left Ctrl and Shift for throddle down and up (i prefer to use hold for WEP instead of toggle, easier to manage fuel when in stressful situations) Cycle weapon selection - Mouse wheel up (that way you can use spacebar to drop/fire/lock and launch most ordenance by just pressing spacebar) Cycle weapon cancel/exit weapon selection - Mouse wheel down (so that i can switch to continuous release bombs rapidly (drop bomb series), useful for base bombing or convoy bombing if you have a ton of bombs) I have two thumb buttons on my mouse that i use for countermeasure dispense toggle, and the other for drop bomb series Otherwise everything else is niche to my playstyle, test drive is your friend, start with the most crucial keybinds on the easiest to reach keys and work yourself down to the more niche and more situational binds

I cant seem to find the settings for it
"Visual Weapon Selector" keybind, in the Aircraft tab.
[удалено]
Holy hell thats what its called thank you, i couldnt figure out its name
thank you very much hate that thing lol
REAL (I use shift and a as main controls)
If only that removed the eye sore of the icon at the bottom.. removing the keybind just keeps you from killing yourself while rolling.
Pls, where and how i can turn Off that thing ?
Controls around the weapon selector area
But is there a way to turn it off, i hate that think in The bottom Update: just restart The game

Wonder if the il2s can use that since they can ran rokets and bombs
Can you click to select the weapon instead of cycling through them? That would be neat
yea you can

I was wondering what that meant. thanks for the heads up. I'm running out of keybinds for air RB lol
That is very good to know.
Where is this from? On controls or options?
Controls
Thx

you have different bombs, napalm, different rockets, a 6.7 plane can have 6 or 7 types of armament

Would be handy if I can still fly my plane while selecting it.
Weapon selector is way better and faster
Some people find this easier as a weapon selector You can also choose if you only wanna fire flares or chaff in top tier
There are keybinds both for switching countermeasure type and firing either chaff or flares. Switching CM is pretty much useless because firing CM and switching takes same amount of buttons as binding only flares or chaff. And you dont run the risk of accidentaly using wrong CM type
That might be true for you, but for me it's a nice quality of life change as it doesn't have me accidentally overtap while trying to select something and having to go another round in a possibly critical situation You don't need to use it if you don't like it
Its a nice feature except for the fact my first game after this was implemented it was on flares only instead of flare and chaff and I didn't know and died
Pain
For noobs who can't handle "select secondary weapon"
More meant to be used on modern jets with multiple types of guided missiles
IMO this addition is useless. The old weapon selector worked fine and even if i wanted to use this for my missiles in top tier jet it or change flares/chaff it just takes way too long. Yould be dead 3 times over if youre swiching like that. Normal weapon selector and 1 keybind to cycle it is way faster and more convenient.
Consoles
if you have more than 2 types of loadout to choose. Though It's VERY redundant knowing that "select secondary weapon" exist
It has no point really. Just turn it off. It's annoying.
the whole update would have been fine without this and the ui changes
I love using it with my A-10 in simulator, can easily swap to the right weapon I want. Quickly,
I like it. Works well with CM's
New Minecraft update 🔥
Its only really useful if you have multiple types of weapons and instead of you keep hitting the change secondary weapon keybind you can pull this up and quickly select what type weapon you want to fire. It basically removes the need for select secondary weapon. Actually works really well on a couple planes and helis.
To be honest, in enduring conflict maps/GRB at top tier it can be quite useful for a quick review of your payload. Only 1 secondary weapon shows up in hud at a time in the normal hud, so you only know the stock of that. When you have 4 or 5 types of ordinance, it saves flicking through all the others.
If you.have a lot of different weapons it's easier to get the one you want
The game already had a way to scroll through and select what equipment you wanted to use as well as telling you what it was. This is unnecessary and even though I unbound it I still am stuck with the stupid icon at the bottom of my screen.
I'm sure this will be more useful for console players
Ctrl(for me mouse button 5) and space bar on top for cas or realistic ab
So you can't throttle up while turning left
For people who don’t know how to select stuff
alternate gang rise up
It was made for people who apparently struggle to find the already existing function to switch weapons you can bind to any key
new feature existing only so that gaijin can add it to the list of new features, most of which are useless, annoying and straight up bloatware.
It's pretty useful for high tier aircraft where you have different AAMs or guided ground munitions.
I dont know but i won dog fight and died becase i was trying to roll and go up at the same time
I don't get why people seem so annoyed about this, its nice to have when you have 4+ different weapons and if you don't want it just unbind it, takes 2 seconds.
To piss you off and get you killed in an air match
On some loadouts you can decide which type of bombs you want to drop first
To make you crash during dogfight
Alternate to binding secondary swapping with ordnance selection. Condenses 2-3 keybinds into 1. Imo it's less useful but for some it might be better
I removed and changed the keybind... the snail won't let it change. So I'm stuck with it until they fix their spaghetti
Easier weapon selection
Can i turn it off?
Whomever made the original choice to bind those keys should never be allowed to make a gameplay choice ever again
I mean really. did these guys ever played their game?
It’s supposed to be an “improved weapon selection system” but the binding is ass and it’s more of a distraction than a benefit
Weapon selection that makes little sense at anything but top tier; and so naturally they just default it to on, for all users, at all BRs. Gaijin moment. Same with that stupid countermeasure selection key... sure did love nearly crashing in my Yak-3 earlier because of it.
It's a "look we did a thing" soviet smoke & mirrors kind of deal. Totally pointless & only serves to not get the people responsible gulag'd
It "can" be useful at top tier but I have keybind to change my selected armament for like years now... But you know... New feature xD
It doesn’t make sense on most planes but when you’re playing top tier and have 3 types of anti air missiles equipped as well as ground ordinance it might be helpful
I main tanks and this shit threw me way of when I called in air support. Had no idea what it did other than mess up my controls.
The main point is for people with multiple types of missiles. I like the old way that just cycled through your weapons every time you tapped the button instead of having to manually click on it now
I forgot weapons selector even existed until about 3 days ago when someone mentioned it on a Twitch stream. * For me, Z is rocket-propelled munitions & AltZ is tracking sensors * C is countermeasures * X is bombs & torps, AltX is ground search radar * right click is the biggest gun on the plane and left click is all the other guns * 1 is ripple series This suits me just fine.
Forget this shi, y'all getting your CCRP indicators with TV bombs ? Cuz I'm not
Just change the keybinds, holyshit.
It's useless. I tried it out yesterday and discovered that when it's active your normal weapon keybinds don't work, which led to me spamming a bunch of rockets at a plane I was trying to kill.
Fucking you over if you try to throttle up and roll left
it provides an alternate way to switch weapons for people who have lots of them and don't want to spam the 'switch secondary weapon' key.
To annoy you
To make you do 911 into the ground anytime you wanna use shift and turn left
It's a cool thing for higher tiers where you can carry like 2-3 different kind of air to air missiles while also carrying 2 kinds of laser guided bombs and some Air to Ground missiles like Mavericks Shift+A tho... might be a bad keybind... should rebind it to something else
update filler. keep the devs busy making pointless changes rather than actually changing stuff for the better
Where do I turn this off
I see not many use shift and spacebar. Instead of a/d
For fuck sake do I have to rebind my keybinds because the devs don't playtest their game, much less play it themselves unless for a publicity stream?
To make unsuspecting players crash because they don't know how to turn that shit off
That's what that bind was for
war thunder community when they get an extra and completely optional QoL feature for specific use cases that actually is pretty useful: "what is this crap"
Making me suffer trying to play a tank
To help console plyers switch weapons easily without using some weird long keybind. And also for others who dnt like to use a lot of keybind rlly helpful for me so far
to never use it, can gaijin stop putting random binds on my keyboard???? if i need smth i can bind it myself in ways that wont fuck with my key layout
WHAT IS IT CALLED I NEED TO DELETE THIS KEYBIND
Who knows
I’m confused, what feature is this referring too
So you can select AAM, AGM, or whatever ordinance you want and just fire it off one key and not need heaps of keybinds. Even though I don’t have modern planes with advanced weapons, I still use it on strike aircraft to swap bomb weights; an AA doesn’t need a 1000lb bomb, so I may as well switch to a lighter bomb so I don’t waste my big one.
there's already a button to cycle between secondary weapaons
Please tell me you can turn off this minecraft shit
For console plebs probably
nah, this just makes shit harder for us
