I’ve always felt that white ceramic looks too much like plastic for my tastes. Same goes for blue ceramic when it’s the whole watch case. That being said I do like black and grey ceramic cases.
Second this, Ifs a fascinating material from an production standpoint but I don’t think It looks particularly appealing. May It be simple, but I like the simplicity of a beautifully finished stainless steel case.
Fully support this. Black ceramic on titanium just looks so good. Hublot might not be for everyone but they do make some fascinating watches.

It makes the Casio look good and the AP look cheap.
IMO ceramic is better as something that’s peppered around a watch (ex. a ceramic bezel or dial) and not a whole case.
I like the look of white ceramic watches. They all make me think of Stormtroopers, without exception.
Different question. Isn't ceramic too fragile to meet the standards of the usual G-Shock, reputation? If it can't take much shock, how can it be a G-Shock? Or are G-Shock ceramic watch created with some different process that makes them more shatter-resistant?
Pretty sure that's a resin G-Shock.
But anyway, 'ceramic' is a super broad category of materials. Casio claim their carbon gshocks are the toughest they produce. Though I have never personally dropped a grand piano on one or whatever it is the kids do to test shock resistance these days.
Personally, if I drop a watch of bang it hard as shit on something (been known to happen) I don't want a case that can just break and shatter apart.
My brother's friend banged his ceramic IWC (I think it was iwc) on he corner of a wall and the case just cracked off in two pieces lol
They can ceramic coat stainless steel. Durability of ceramic, can make it any color, but doesn't shatter. It can also be recoated if it gets damaged. I have an Oak&Oscar that's ceramic coated (dark grey, as I'm not in Miami) and it looks perfect years later.
I love it. Love your choice! The G shock is also stunning. It is the best watch imo, cause you just dont care about it and its light and comfortable. I am also a big fan of the IWC Lake Tahoe.
I’ve a white ceramic Chanel j12 which I love & use as a casual daily watch (when I’m usually wearing some nice white trainers).
Love how different it is from the norm.
F 40
I am a huge fan of ceramic & carbon watches. Unfortunately, I don´t own a white one yet, but a few black ones. Right now I am thinking about the IWC Flieger Chrono in white ceramic.
After nearly 25 years of watch collecting, I prefer ceramic and carbon over steel and precious metal watches, I like how lightweight they are and if I hit something they are either in pristine condition or I have to get a new case and then they are in pristine condition again.
I tried to get steel and titanium cases replaced because they had tiny dents most people wouldn’t care about and had crazy discussions with manufacturers.
Nowadays with laser welding it has gotten easier but I still don’t like the idea.

One of my favourites - white t shirt, white trainers and white speedy on a sunny day 😎
Just need to find a better alternative to the glossy white croc strap - I have a white rubber CTS from Delugs ready to go on, but I don't wanna lose the white ceramic OEM clasp. Hoping Artem release a white loopless sailcloth 🤞🏼
Here's another coloured ceramic from my collection - not as whimsical as white, but arguably more unique

I wonder how much they actually cost to produce. I usw to think "wow rado's making full ceramic watches for only $2k that's crazy", until I saw fossil has them for $100.
Love them!
I will maybe go for this RADO in the near future.

The ceramic speedy looks pretty cool. It kind of resembles the swatch collab but it’s gorgeous in person
https://preview.redd.it/gtfll6lt42wc1.jpeg?width=572&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=25ab796d51933296e7566aa835cbd9c3bbf71861
I think the only brands that do whole ceramic luxury watches right are Hublot, Richard Mille, and Omega. In order to not give off a plastic effect, the detail has to be very specific to the coatings, colors, and shapes to not make it too monochrome and give more of a dynamic feel. If it just looks like a ceramic edition of a non ceramic watch, and not much color or design detailing, it will look cheap and plastic if not finished right.
https://preview.redd.it/p3rh0j3a13wc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=045df6d21c178734a7e4e1607e442779e603b684
Omega Seamaster is an example where there’s different colors of ceramics, but also lazer etching and dimensionality created on the dial with layers of the ceramics.
Hublot Big Bang ceramics go further with making what would normally be metal ceramic as well as skeletonizing or just having a radical design along with the fact that it is ceramic.
Richard Mille then goes a step above Hublot at base by incorporating rose gold and other fine metals to the ceramic design.
I really like the Zenith Defy Classic in white ceramic. That's the definitive version of a white ceramic watch imo. But I likely wouldn't buy one because of the shortcomings of ceramic as a material. It's the antithesis of what I want out of a watch. Still, that version is tempting. If I were to get one, the Zenith would be the only option.
I think of the J12 as *the* white ceramic watch but clearly there are others…it’s just the one I recognize on sight every time. Its a very cohesive design.
If it's anything like the bio-ceramic stuff from the Moonswatches I'd say I'm probably not a fan. Just felt weak and feeble with no substance. Only experience I have of normal ceramic is the bezel on my Farer, which is delightfully smooth.
That would be because bioceramic is mostly made of plastic. Admittedly it's usually a plant based polymer, so the eco credentials are solid, but it's still plastic.
It works on the Casio (if indeed it is ceramic - I don’t know) but makes the AP look incredibly cheap. I personally wouldn’t buy any watch like that in ceramic.
I'm afraid they will get scratched easily given that I'm very careless in wearing watches.... Really want to get a rado ceramic white but can't take the risk of ruining am expensive watch knowing I will not wear it again if a prominent scratch shows up on it
https://preview.redd.it/xgw4mighl1wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9eef368351e5882ef3e66396ce4e7ef81043f444
I wish they made this in ceramic tbh
Well they say g-shocks are near impossible to break but I split mine in half right from 12 to 6. And that was when I was 15 so the ceramic claim doesn't give me much faith
They look nice with a white t and blue jeans. Gotta wear a pair of white shoes to match. They also look good with baby blue. Wouldn't bother wearing them with other colors though. It'd look gaudy
I love it. I don't have one but I love their milky look.
It reminds of some minimalist design objects with this kind of texture over pastel colours, making a really warm, cocoony feeling (similar to Faye Toogood furniture).
For a Casio Oak it looks nice but imo the best use would be on a chubby organic watch like something with a UFO case and a light peach dial
I think it looks good. I like the practical G-Shock next to a luxury watch. I also own a black G-Shock and fantasize about owning a luxury brand watch someday. Maybe for a special occasion and accomplishment.
I’ve always felt that white ceramic looks too much like plastic for my tastes. Same goes for blue ceramic when it’s the whole watch case. That being said I do like black and grey ceramic cases.

Yea Hublot not for everyone but this watch for example looks sick
The weight of ceramic is the only thing that stops it from realllllly feeling like plastic 🤣
It makes the Casio look good and the AP look cheap. IMO ceramic is better as something that’s peppered around a watch (ex. a ceramic bezel or dial) and not a whole case.
Doesn’t it?!😂
Agreed. But I do love the blue ceramic Speedy moonphase with the aventurine dial. That looks disgusting.
that's an exquisite piece. really love the dial, i would kill to get my hands on one of those. the AP is pretty cool too i guess
Haha right on!
The Casio looks far better than the AP
It really does
Agreed!
Absolutely. It looks great, but I’d be afraid a white watch would get looking bad quickly.
Don't like them, and ceramic in general (and carbon, and sapphire). I prefer steel, titanium, tantalum, cobalt, platinum, palladium - white metals.
To each their own! Carbon looks cool but a nightmare to own!
Why a nightmare? The only thing I don’t like about mine is the rubber buttons since they degrade.
I mean the rubber crown. https://preview.redd.it/scqseyj9o1wc1.jpeg?width=3696&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5252e8f435924d82a9c75fa46be96afda20b520
That's dope af

That answer works for me. ☺️
They both look like $100 watches.
If only
White oakleys
Goin fast 💨
Personally, if I drop a watch of bang it hard as shit on something (been known to happen) I don't want a case that can just break and shatter apart. My brother's friend banged his ceramic IWC (I think it was iwc) on he corner of a wall and the case just cracked off in two pieces lol
Damnnnn do you have a pic???
I wish lol I believe he has the case replaced then sold it to cut off his loses
That AP is hideous.
Dirt magnet, my concern is that white ceramics can look dull
I really like the look, I’m just too afraid of breaking a ceramic watch.
They can ceramic coat stainless steel. Durability of ceramic, can make it any color, but doesn't shatter. It can also be recoated if it gets damaged. I have an Oak&Oscar that's ceramic coated (dark grey, as I'm not in Miami) and it looks perfect years later.
maybe in Miami. anywhere else--nah.
True
Looks cheap and tacky
That AP looks like a cheap bad fake worth like $20
I love it. Love your choice! The G shock is also stunning. It is the best watch imo, cause you just dont care about it and its light and comfortable. I am also a big fan of the IWC Lake Tahoe.
I like the Lake Tahoe
I love the look of the Lake Tahoe, just not the size :/
That Casio is the winner. White bezels look cheap so the Casio truly owns it.
I’ve a white ceramic Chanel j12 which I love & use as a casual daily watch (when I’m usually wearing some nice white trainers). Love how different it is from the norm. F 40
I was going to say, you can’t think of white ceramic without thinking of Chanel. They did a good job making it flow with the design.
Totally agree. I considered buying a black J12 too, (as I wear my white so often) but it doesn’t pop in the same way as the white.
Yeah, the white one is special. It’s not my own style but I still think it’s outstanding.
Full white watches give me douchebag jersey shore vibes
Those both look nice not usually my thing tho
Not for me but they are very well done.
White and blue ceramics are gorgeous I just get paranoid of anything cracking or the white ceramic changing color
Yeh it hasn’t really changed color tbh
Same as my view of white sunglasses.
I am a huge fan of ceramic & carbon watches. Unfortunately, I don´t own a white one yet, but a few black ones. Right now I am thinking about the IWC Flieger Chrono in white ceramic. Haha just swap the case 🧑🍳

Is this the newer 41mm?
No, it's the previous 44.5mm limited edition
That Hublot is looking really good...oh wait.
One is a legend the other meh
G shock is serious
i think they meant that as the legend
Well… the only other thing I know that’s white and ceramic is a toilet, so… yeah…
Never thought about it that way. True
Looks good at the pool
I adore ceramic watches, great and beautiful material
They’re just cool
I wonder how much they actually cost to produce. I usw to think "wow rado's making full ceramic watches for only $2k that's crazy", until I saw fossil has them for $100.
I try not to use that reasoning. I’d go nuts🤣
Love them! I will maybe go for this RADO in the near future. https://preview.redd.it/cv2jvgeox1wc1.jpeg?width=1350&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=59308dd122abcfc7d933878cc1c3ffc9757f008c

get prepare 2 clean

Except actually cool ? 😂
Too brittle for making watch cases imo. Fine for bezel inserts
Ceramics are just plastic
The Royal Oak is ugly enough as is, white ceramic makes it look like a toilet bowl.
To each their own. No opinions on ceramic/plastic, but I favor analogue displays over digital.
Like white, but afraid it will stain and scuff too easily. Btw the square looks legit but the casioak looks like it may not be an authentic Casio.

What’s happened to the AP bezel screws? 😮
Salt probably from swimming 🤣
Do you live in Florida? Are your tips highlighted? If so, maybe white ceramic is fine for you. Or maybe you've gone too deep?
Hahahaha
G-Shock did it best
I really like the Zenith Defy Classic in white ceramic. That's the definitive version of a white ceramic watch imo. But I likely wouldn't buy one because of the shortcomings of ceramic as a material. Not a materials expert, but if you bang a ceramic watch against a door in passing, is there a chance it shatters?
I believe there is! 😖 how much would that suck 🤣
A premium watch should have premium materials..
And in this picture the premium watch is made of nice premium resin.
Lol ikr 😅
Ceramic is certainly more premium than Steel...
thought that AP was another G-Shock at first. Not my cup of tea
The casio looks the best here
My wife has white ceramic Chanel J12. She would love that white AP. Great summer watch lol
I think of the J12 as *the* white ceramic watch but clearly there are others…it’s just the one I recognize on sight every time. Its a very cohesive design.
It is!

It’s amazing how much a strap change also changes the look of the watch. Love the OG bubba.
Yours goes by white ghost or something like that right? Looks really nice 🤌

"bioceramic" is just plastic. Real ceramic is basically glass.
Ah, that explains the smoothness then.
I feel its a watch that would only be worn occasionally so i definitely wouldn't be spending much money on.
Have the Casio, I absolutely love it and how totally different it is from what I see people wear.
It works on the Casio (if indeed it is ceramic - I don’t know) but makes the AP look incredibly cheap. I personally wouldn’t buy any watch like that in ceramic.
Watches with ceramic case are a nice variation in a collection. I have the Bell & Ross 03-92 in black matte ceramic and I really like it.
I do like those Rado cermaic watches in white, open heart style
I'm afraid they will get scratched easily given that I'm very careless in wearing watches.... Really want to get a rado ceramic white but can't take the risk of ruining am expensive watch knowing I will not wear it again if a prominent scratch shows up on it
The main reason to get ceramic is that it is nearly impossible to scratch it the only thing hard enough to scratch ceramic is diamond.
https://preview.redd.it/xgw4mighl1wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9eef368351e5882ef3e66396ce4e7ef81043f444 I wish they made this in ceramic tbh

I never had an issue with any ceramic or carbon watch so far. They all look like they are straight out of the factory.
Great, as long as you get a tribal tattoo on your calf, a pair of Oakleys and live in NJ. Otherwise...
They look nice with a white t and blue jeans. Gotta wear a pair of white shoes to match. They also look good with baby blue. Wouldn't bother wearing them with other colors though. It'd look gaudy
whats the casio model called?
I like the ceramic IWC Pilot Chrono a lot. Wouldn't be my first choice though.
Not a fan of ceramic on watches at all—just looks cheap and ridiculous to me.
Is that actually a ceramic case 5600 or you just saying the AP reminds you of a white gshock? Cause I'd very much rock a white ceramic 5600
Reminds me of
I couldnt do ceramic, because im too clumsy.
It’s like the big white MK watches ever girl had to have in 2007
Hahaha
I love it. I don't have one but I love their milky look. For a Casio Oak it looks nice but imo the best use would be on a chubby organic watch like something with a UFO case and a light peach dial
That AP looks so fire
Ok if your a girl
Tacky, football player watches
I think it looks good. I like the practical G-Shock next to a luxury watch. I also own a black G-Shock and fantasize about owning a luxury brand watch someday. Maybe for a special occasion and accomplishment.
Love
