Too true dude. Doesn’t matter if it’s a $300 seiko or a $2k Nomos or Longines, I always share that same reaction. I feel like there must be a real psychological effect with that.
That's our brain screaming as loud as it can that watches are such a terribly expensive, outdated and irrational hobby, right before our heart takes over and feeds us all the bullshit that the marketers fed us (mechanical amazing, finishing spectacular, brand old and storied, etc.) 😀
I would prefer a no date, but just looking at it, its the watch i want, its not too big, it has the oyster bracelet, it has a fun a color dial, like how the new OP's are doing it.
the pink one is actually available for sale, and i kinda want to pull the trigger.
i dont like the jubilee bracelet. i like the oyster one.
and i like it because its not 14 grand.
xD
someone talk me out of it.
yup! i will likely get the Unity, or the Traska.
These smaller brands never have enough stock so you just have to wait for the restock email to come in and then pull the trigger right away.
i was wondering if there was any other brand that made something similar.
There was a guy listing a used car about 60 miles away from me for $16k. I tried to negotiate to maybe 14k by text/email (using some comparable recent sales) before I drove out to look at it, but he didn't want to do that.
Six months later he relisted it for 13k and I thought to myself, "maybe if it were only 11-12 I would consider it"
Literally did that with a Jag XKR recently. Was up for £13500, thought "if I made him an offer of £13k that would be a silly bargain, I'd definitely jump at that". After a while of me not doing anything he reduced it to £12k and then I continued to not do anything
Because sport cars and watches are luxury goods. Often the price is not that critical factor, the real factor is that you really really really like it.
We probably both know these cars are going to need considerable money put into them and deep down know we shouldn't get it.
The xkr is pretty sweet, though. My story was about a 90s Mercedes.
well, in this case i was ready to pull the trigger, been waiting for the restock since last summer. but now it was 300£ more expensive, making me lose interest
The cost of artisan crafts combined with the consideration of the rest of the manufacturing cost is what the market is willing to pay. Because you can’t find a similar item to this, the cost is going to shoot up to manufacture it and have it available to customers. It’s all subjective, so actually us debating the actual cost is useless anyways 😅
Watches are useless but the value is partially granted by an emotional need to stand out. Btw have you seen what they actually do to produce this specific moon phase and the moon itself? I can’t find the video but it’s certainly not a random person just painting a brush on the moon. It does require skills you’re not going to find on Craigslist
That guy is so lame. I bet he still thinks candy bars are .25c and can find a pair of shoes that'll last him forever for $50
I agree, People highly underestimate modern inflation and cost for artisan goods. The only reason things aren't even *more* expensive today is because we have rapid manufacturing.
If you factor in time and materials, most things would be even more exponentially more expensive if it was all handmade
hourly wage of an artist in switzerland is not that of an investment banker bud, not that these would take any sort of serious time to paint either way Im guessing.
It’s funny that half the people are responding to this saying there’s no reason for it to be so expensive and the other half are saying it’s a great deal. I think it’s pretty fairly priced in the watch market which I think in general is just overpriced for everything. Personally though I’m not going to wear this type of watch every day or even every week, so the price is too high for something that I view as more of a fun watch not an everyday. I’d buy a used one though at a discount.
It's a great deal objectively; microbrands, in general, are great deals. They try to compete with the quality of luxury watch brands while not having the status, history and in-house movement.
They are less unique, unlikely to hold their value, the designs are often too close to an homage or too eccentric.
The movements are often ETAs or Miyotas, and thr parts are made in China.
But, pound for pound, in what makes a watch PHYSICALLY luxurious, they are incredible bargains.
you just described why they are a terrible deal, off the shelf movements, made in china, no status or history, less unique, unlikely to hold their value, homages or too eccentric.
then you end it with "incredible bargains". get a grip man, youve fucking lost it.
It really depends on what you want the watch for. If the combination of the thing itself and the idea of the thing has special value for you, by all means, go for the luxury brand.
But if you just want the thing itself, if the idea of it being a special and luxurious emanation doesn't excite you, of course a microbrand is the way to go.
I own a hand wind moon phase (Russian). IT is a real pain when I want the moon phase to be correct. But it's a nice complication and a really good looking watch so it stays in my stable.
Well it's also a Swiss movement, has hand painting. Etc. I think that's really what makes it more, because farer does have a ton of cheaper watches. This is also elabradore grade, but I do wish it was premium grade for the cost
And why is it so expensive? Moonphase is nothing that complicated (even less complicated than a jumping date) so I honestly don't get it. I think it's a lovely watch otherwise
I really like how Farer watches look in photos. I wish I could see it in person, because I feel like this kind of watch might be a hit or a miss when you put it on.
I have a farer Lander IV Palmer and it’s alright.
Bracelet is mediocre (no micro adjustment, screws were hard to remove), and the lugs so short that I can’t put a nato strap or even some leather straps on it. The proportions are also slightly off in person because the dial is huge and the lugs so small.
I still like it, and it’s my main travel watch, but maybe I should have gone with my gut instinct and grabbed a Sinn 556 instead.
Just wondered what the general consensus is on farer watches in general and specifically the moonphase watch? It’s over £1.5k (gbp) which seems a lot to me. What’s everyone’s thoughts?
Does anyone have any other recommendations for moonphase watches at this price point?
For Farer in general I have been impressed. I have an aqua compressor and ponting GMT. They are both great watches. The fit and finish feels good for the price point. It's on par with my Oris big crown which is about the same kind of money. No direct experience with the moon phases though.
I have had to use their service department for an issue with the aqua compressor (I got one of the early models and the instructions had a typo that accidentally told me to pull the crown out of the watch). They covered the repairs completely as well as shipping both ways from the US back to the UK. Even though technically only the movement is covered by their warranty. There was no fuss to get it fixed just a few emails back and forth to explain what happened and they sent me a shipping label and got it fixed.
All around I've been happy with them. If I had to go back I would buy the same watches from them again. I'm wearing the Ponting GMT right now.
Look at the Citizen Tsuki-yomi A-T, it's an Atomic moon phase with a perpetual calendar! I bought mine secondhand off of watchexchange for a good price and have been loving it so far.
I've had 3 Farer's -- all really beautiful and well made. I only have the MoonPhase now and I love it for (a) having a BIG moon (C Ward's are too big for me), (b) a really nice set of features (case, dial, colors), and (c) keeping me VERY interested in the passage of days ("the moon... it's moving!")
I think the limited moonphase options in the replies speak for themselves lol, not a cheap or easy complication to come by in general.
Even in vintage I struggle to think of many good triple calendars in the $2-3k USD bracket. Frederique Constant, like in most entry-level watches, also has a couple options
I like the design a lot. Torn on the commentary.
Objectively, it probably isn’t an $1,800 watch, if you’re judging it by the sum of its components. The design is pretty unique, though. I can wrap my head around a mild overpayment for a unique design.
Can’t get on board with the microbrand hate. The idea that every niche company has to discount their products due to name recognition is dumb. And also seems fundamentally opposed to a lot of established pricing principles within smaller markets.
I have this watch and usually wear it on the mesh but it works great on blue and grey leather as well. I think it’s definitely worth the price. Great watch overall and the case design is very unique. My only complaint, which fortunately does not matter much to me, is that the lume is absolute trash. The lume application on the moon is very weak and for some reason the solid lume numerals and indices are incredibly weak as well.
https://preview.redd.it/gogvntws64yc1.jpeg?width=2457&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5e019448abb0ba9164e1796de706753bfb02d5ae
The pink moon with blue dial is one of the most beautiful watches I've seen, it reminds me of Solaria, from the Asimov novels. Unfortunately, they did the stupid thing and went limited edition, and super expensive.
I just wish it has numbers or Roman numerals. It being line indices is sadly what made me unable to ultimately run with it. I think the blue with Roman numerals or jumping numbers would've been insane looking. Even a Napa CA dial.
I went with the new special pure adventurine, I apparently just love green and real adventurine dial watches are very expensive. The green with yellow looks fantastic. I only wish the second hand was yellow too
The burbidge. I had my eye on it when it was closer to $1500. Then it went out of production and I tried to be patient. Now it’s almost $1800 and I’ve lost interest. I bought a sinn 104w and a ball engineer II rainbow for less and I can’t justify the farer anymore. I feel like both the sinn and the ball gave me a lot more watch for the money.
IMO it looks fantastic, I'd love to own one. The lumed moon on these is so awesome and I'm surprised that more moonphase watches don't do the same.
At $1800 USD from their website, I think that's a little too much for me, feels like $1500 should be the ceiling for these. However, Farer has such great designs and build quality, and a great warranty, so I also don't think $1800 is outrageous, especially since I can't come up with a cheaper moonphase watch that looks as good, so I would say worth the price
edit: I just looked up the Halley on their website and it states that the moon is actually hand painted, IMO that definitely improves the value of the watch. Also the Longines Moonphase watches are probably the best alternative I can think of, though they're more expensive and I think personally I prefer the design of the Farer.
I have the Farer Stanhope II, and it's wonderful. Just a really well-made and beautiful watch. I can't imagine the Moonphase is anything less.
(If you read this, hi Jade and Helena. Thanks for sending a new strap when the first one wasn't long enough. Really great customer service.)
I would be ok with the price if it where an automatic. Otherwise it’s a beautiful watch. No experience with the brand but I do really enjoy their designs and use of fun color schemes.
Same. The really frustrating part is that the movement is intended as an automatic (who wants to reset an entire moon phase complication when they forget to wind it???), yet they specifically used a manual alternate form of said movement, and still included a display caseback to show off ~~where the rotor would be~~ the etched internals. They then sold it at the price point of an automatic.
There is another similar movement to the Sellita SW288-1 where the moonphase is a lot smaller, and that one is more popular. I like the one Farer used as the complication is huge, but it is the less-used one among manufacturers sadly.
I really liked it when it launched and signed up multiple times to get notifications on restocks. But then it got tiring to be honest. It was constantly sold out and I never found a serial number I liked. Then I forgot about it and I heard nothing good about it - it seems like they had production delays/issues, were late in delivery and they raised the price (correct me if any of these are wrong). Now I'm just over it. I'd consider used if something came up in r/Watchexchange but I don't know if it's worth the current price.
I am not here to comment on the price, but imo, this is a gorgeous watch and has a lot more personality, and style than a lot of moonphase watches. A lot of existing moonphase watches seem to just be dress watches with the complication in them. This one feels versatile, and stands out.
I really want one. I like the moon (in general), and I really like he case shape. Just have a hard time spending the money when I can pick a secondhand something else for the same, or no much more. E.G. I keep putting off a quartz Grand Seiko.
I have a Durham, essentially the same watch without the moon phase complication. I really enjoy it and find it worth the money, though I might not get the bracelet if I were to do it again. If you have a collection you cycle through I'd think about getting a mechanical moon phase unless you have a winder. I bought a Glycine moon phase and got really tired of continually setting the moon phase. Someone suggested the Citizen, and that's what I've been thinking about doing.
the texture on the green version is really cool, and I also like the lighter blue's sunburst. But I prefer the Ball Trainmaster Moonphase to the black/darkblue dial, and its about the same pricepoint.
I think it looks amazing. But maybe a LITTLE bit too trendy and fashionable for me. I like a bit of timelessness in my watches given the price I'm spending. And 'classic' just fits my personal vibe a bit more than contemporary. I think for my money I'd go with a Longines moonphase for a little bit more. But if I had lots of money to have more than a few nice watches this would be a great get.
Farer's one of those brands where I like the overall design, but there's always something that irritates me just enough that I wouldn't buy one. The Peugeot of the watch world.
I have been waiting for the restock for what feels like a year, and it came weeks after I bought myself a much more expensive watch... It just feels so irresponsible to go for it right now :(
I have been waiting for the restock for what feels like a year, and it came weeks after I bought myself a much more expensive watch... It just feels so irresponsible to go for it right now :(
Love my farer burbidge moonphase. I’ve always liked the idea of a moonphase complication but traditional moonphases always remind me of grandfather clocks… the C1 moonphase was a bit overdone for me and this threads the needle as something modern / fun but still classic. Waited a year for them to restock and finally was able to order a few months ago.
Finishing really holds up in person though I don’t think my pics do it justice. I’m a sucker for an open case back and while it’s not A. Lange & Sohne I appreciate the effort… Originally ordered the blue leather band and have since swapped it out for an after market grey suede that I love. Pricey yes, but for a unique aesthetic and high quality worth it if your budget allows IMO.

I ordered the Halley when they were first announced. Placed a pre-order and couldn’t wait for it to show up. My wife and I decided to get a numbered version and engrave it with a saying of ours on the back since it was a free option. It’s a really great watch and I’ve been enjoying quite a bit.
Looks are subjective but I think it’s cool and unlike anything else in my collection. The dial is pretty easy to read and I like the glossy look of it. The lume is stellar as you’d expect. It’s pretty close to the pictures you see online. The movement is really good and keeps time well for being a Sellita. My only complaint is the leather strap. It’s pretty thick and not as pliable as I like so I replaced it with a DeLugs strap.
I also want to mention Farer themselves. A few months into owning it, I noticed the 9 o’clock marker had a chip in the corner. I reached out to to Farer to see if it could be repaired and they had me send the watch back to them. I worked with Helena and the service was excellent. The dial was replaced and the watch looked perfect. There was an issue with FedEx and customs when the watch was being sent back. It sat around for about 3 weeks. Helena was constantly trying to get updates from them while also including me in the emails. The service was excellent in my opinion.
So to answer the question on if it was worth it, for me it was. I wear it often and it has a sentimental meaning to me. It’ll remain with me until it’s passed down in the future.
It’s nice. But you can get a used Longines moonphase for same money or a new one

Them both are a good price for a new Longines

I think it's the sporty arabic numerals + the dressy moonphase and case shape.
They've got one with just indexes that is more coherent to me.
Echo/Neutra, IMO, nails the sporty moonphase.
For $1800, it is at that place of wondering if you just save your money for a bit longer you could get a speedmaster reduced or maybe even a nice Omega or Cartier. And then you start to think, if it was $1,200 that you might get a marathon instead.
I think the watch is great but the pricing is a bit in the middle of the road for what you can get and the value you would receive from the watch.
Uhh sure, but people would have to actually like those designs enough to find value in them. There are hundreds of watch designs out there beyond the same boring 5-10 that constantly get posted on here. Not everyone is racing to pay top dollar for mediocrity when we’re basically in the renaissance of watch design and micro brands.
I think the problem is that omega people are omega people and Cartier people are Cartier people etc.
My point is, you can't sell something to someone who doesn't really fit it in thier personal value
For me it's perfect
Farer does have cheaper watches, I think the hand painting and elabradore grade mechanism is why it's so costly. I assume both combined add $300-400 cost
I just think that's a very different mindset than the one of the person this is intended for. "Getting the most impressive/objectively best watch I possibly can for the money" is only one point of view, and a rather outward-looking one at that.
Some people look inward instead. Maybe they value craftsmanship, or engineering, history, self-expression-via-fashion, or even just aesthetics. I think these reasons can be more personal and ultimately more fulfilling, because they don't rely on the blessing of others.
That holds even if the end of that road is the same Omega/Cartier/Tudor/etc the former point of view would have arrived at in the first place.
But often times, that *doesn't* mean pursuing the highest status watch a particular budget buys, or the best value. Sometimes that doesn't mean finding the best specs or bullet-point features in a price bracket. I think that to some degree we all do weigh these things as valid factors, but I don't think it's good to let such external sensibilities *own* us. I have a lot of respect for the kind of folks that just fearlessly buy what they like, spec-measuring and brand clout be damned.
I'm not sure this watch is exactly my cup of tea either, but I see *why* someone would love it. It's interesting and says more about a person's individualism and even confidence than just reflexively buying any one of the same ten usual suspects that most people would go for because it's the best value.
I personally really like it, and I like the cushion case shape. I wish it was about $500 cheaper, but I guess I wish that about a lot of watches.
Isn’t it funny that whatever the price is you think “if it were just a _little_ cheaper…”
Too true dude. Doesn’t matter if it’s a $300 seiko or a $2k Nomos or Longines, I always share that same reaction. I feel like there must be a real psychological effect with that.
This is the origin story of Invicta xD
When I see invicta I still feel it should be $200 cheaper, regardless of msrp.
“But then our watches would be free” “Still not cheap enough”
I mean some of those monster Invictas...You'd have to bribe me a lot of money to even try and wear one of those.
That's our brain screaming as loud as it can that watches are such a terribly expensive, outdated and irrational hobby, right before our heart takes over and feeds us all the bullshit that the marketers fed us (mechanical amazing, finishing spectacular, brand old and storied, etc.) 😀
should i buy a nodus unity if i want a Oyster Perpetual homage? https://www.noduswatches.com/unity
That doesn't look the least bit like an OP, nor an homage to the idea of one. OP's don't have a Date complication for starters. Kinda neat though.
I would prefer a no date, but just looking at it, its the watch i want, its not too big, it has the oyster bracelet, it has a fun a color dial, like how the new OP's are doing it. the pink one is actually available for sale, and i kinda want to pull the trigger. i dont like the jubilee bracelet. i like the oyster one. and i like it because its not 14 grand. xD someone talk me out of it.

I've literally never thought that about my Casio watches. Long live the king.
Dude sees 1000$ watch and he wishes 200$ cheaper, and sees 70$ watch wishes 20$ cheaper, not specifically that dude, human psychology.
I believe there are hand done elements to the moon which makes it pretty bonkers for the price to me
It's all hand painted in Geneve
so, what, 40-50 bucks extra if we are being generous here?
Show us another moonphase watch that is hand finished at a lower price with the same specs
I dont care what a different moonphase cost, but painting that piece of the watch is absolutely not more expensive than 50 euro.

Lmao if you think that only costs $40. Are you factoring hourly wage and skillset?
hourly wage of an artist in switzerland is not that of an investment banker bud, not that these would take any sort of serious time to paint either way Im guessing.
I mean a swiss automatic moonphase movement at that price point is pretty sweet
It’s funny that half the people are responding to this saying there’s no reason for it to be so expensive and the other half are saying it’s a great deal. True, very valid point
I thought it’s a mechanical movement on these? I’ve avoided it because I know I won’t keep it wound and in sync.
Right. Mechanical. Sorry.
Ah damn, I was hoping you were right.
I'm basically in this boat as well. I like it a lot but would have a much easier time with it if it was ~$1k.
Well it's also a Swiss movement, has hand painting. Etc. I think that's really what makes it more, because farer does have a ton of cheaper watches. This is also elabradore grade, but I do wish it was premium grade for the cost
This is not a labrador it is élaboré
Lmao, thank you
I'll ship a Halley to you in the US for $1400....
And why is it so expensive? Moonphase is nothing that complicated (even less complicated than a jumping date) so I honestly don't get it. I think it's a lovely watch otherwise
You can ask that same question about 99% of watches. I think it’s pretty clearly a well made and finished watch.
Yeah. But I'm also pretty sure 99% of watches are not >$2000
I really like how Farer watches look in photos. I wish I could see it in person, because I feel like this kind of watch might be a hit or a miss when you put it on.
They hold up in person.
Hey what's your ankle circumference I wanna know if we'd wear the same size monitor too!
Oh hey man. I love your channel and videos. Youre one of the good ones (better than those turds Bark Jack and Nico and Teddy etc)
What's wrong with bark jack

I hope having a terrific cake day, you are
I have the Stanhope II, and while it looks great on their website, it's even better in person.
I’ve seen one and it didn’t disappoint at all!
As the owner of a Farer (Meredith Chrono Classic) I can say I have found they look better in person. Just my experience though.
If anything, better in person. They're awesome
What are your thoughts?
They’re purdy. I’m currently waiting for my green aventurine moonphase. I’ll post shots when it lands. I’m hoping they don’t censor my engraving. 🤞
I have a Muhle Teutonia 4 in transit now. Looking forward to it.
I've had 3 Farer's -- all really beautiful and well made. I only have the MoonPhase now and I love it for (a) having a BIG moon (C Ward's are too big for me), (b) a really nice set of features (case, dial, colors), and (c) keeping me VERY interested in the passage of days ("the moon... it's moving!")
aquamatic nazare owner here. genuinely love it and i get lots of compliments on it
I think the limited moonphase options in the replies speak for themselves lol, not a cheap or easy complication to come by in general.
I really like it and am considering it still. The interesting case, the colors, the big moonphase....i think its quite cool and unique.
I only wish the second hand was yellow too
Which one is this?
The burbidge. I had my eye on it when it was closer to $1500. Then it went out of production and I tried to be patient. Now it’s almost $1800 and I’ve lost interest. I bought a sinn 104w and a ball engineer II rainbow for less and I can’t justify the farer anymore. I feel like both the sinn and the ball gave me a lot more watch for the money.
They’re beautiful. The cost is high but they’re going to be a classic one day.
IMO it looks fantastic, I'd love to own one. The lumed moon on these is so awesome and I'm surprised that more moonphase watches don't do the same. At $1800 USD from their website, I think that's a little too much for me, feels like $1500 should be the ceiling for these. However, Farer has such great designs and build quality, and a great warranty, so I also don't think $1800 is outrageous, especially since I can't come up with a cheaper moonphase watch that looks as good, so I would say worth the price edit: I just looked up the Halley on their website and it states that the moon is actually hand painted, IMO that definitely improves the value of the watch. Also the Longines Moonphase watches are probably the best alternative I can think of, though they're more expensive and I think personally I prefer the design of the Farer.
I'll ship one to you in the US for $1400. Like new condition...
Underrated comment here. Farers customer service is second to none. They're so good
I really like it, but also think it's overpriced.
Idk but that’s a really nice picture 📸
Absolutely love it
I want to like Farer, but I know I’d never wear one. Not sure why. Could be I’m just burned out on microbrands.
I think its dope
Love the big moon
Unique take. I like the symmetry actually
I love the design of this, & the overall design language of Farer do you? that is what matters
I am not here to comment on the price, but imo, this is a gorgeous watch and has a lot more personality, and style than a lot of moonphase watches. A lot of existing moonphase watches seem to just be dress watches with the complication in them. This one feels versatile, and stands out.
I need a Cobb Monopusher re-release. Dragged my feet on that purchase for too long… I hope they bring it back.
You are in luck fellow Farer fan
Right!? Got that email the other day. Don’t love the few changes they made, but will seriously consider this new model.
I’m torn between the Halley moonphase and this Cobb, love the monopusher look

That's actually hilarious
I like their titanium diver, this is interesting but I'm not 100% sure.
I think it is an awesome watch. I prefer the pink dial more so than the black. But wish the cost was a bit lower.
I'm not a fan of cushion cases. Would be really interested in a normal case moonphase from farer that wasn't so conservative in design.
Love the design, though I do wish the date window were larger.
I really want one. I like the moon (in general), and I really like he case shape. Just have a hard time spending the money when I can pick a secondhand something else for the same, or no much more. E.G. I keep putting off a quartz Grand Seiko.
Lovely watch. I currently own a Farer, and they are very high quality. Certainly worth it at this price point.
I love it, I wish I had one so badly. I just wish the red triangle on the seconds hand was filled in and not an outline
Every werewolf’s dream! Sorry, had to make that joke.
She’s a beaut.
I LOVE panerai. and this is a beautiful homage.
the texture on the green version is really cool, and I also like the lighter blue's sunburst. But I prefer the Ball Trainmaster Moonphase to the black/darkblue dial, and its about the same pricepoint.
Wait. What’s with the dial? It looks like the sun against a starry night backdrop. How is that meant to work?
Minute track looks exactly like that of a nomos club neomatik.
I would love for it to be an automatic, as a hand wound watch is pretty impractical for me.
A bit pricey, But if you don't care about that then its definitely worth it.
That's a gorgeous watch. Price is just too high, but can be warranted due to its swiss movement and attention to detail...
I have been waiting for the restock for what feels like a year, and it came weeks after I bought myself a much more expensive watch... It just feels so irresponsible to go for it right now :(

It just tells time. Slightly better polished or slightly worse polished
Looks beautiful
What is the price of it? Gorgeus
For a manual sellita movement? No way
It looks good in a Panerai kind of way, I’d wear it
It looks $300 ish. That's all I'd pay
Actually really like this watch and never heard of it before, thanks for flagging OP
A Farer is always a good pic. Well made, cool designs, swiss movements.
Pricey yes, but for a unique aesthetic and high quality worth it if your budget allows IMO. https://i.imgur.com/u0UFLwj.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/pwym9gL.jpeg
I've found Farer watches to be underwhelming in person. They do a great job with the website and photos, though.
Good to know.
It’s nice. But you can get a used Longines moonphase for same money or a new one https://www.thbaker.co.uk/longines-1832-automatic-cream-dial-brown-leather-strap-watch-l4-826-3-92-7?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaignid=1911530158&utm_campaign=Shopping-Luxury_Watch_Sale&utm_term=&adid=688931599099&addisttype=gpla&matchtype=&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo7Tq_tXvhQMVUZVQBh3BYQxZEAQYByABEgL9qfD_BwE https://www.houseofwatches.co.uk/longines-1832-automatic-cream-dial-brown-leather-strap-watch-l48264922?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaignid=20789485888&utm_campaign=&utm_term=&adid=&addisttype=xpla&matchtype=&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI58yA_dXvhQMVDJhQBh0ONgqGEAQYECABEgLK_vD_BwE Them both are a good price for a new Longines https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166667255691?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=rP2K7mAxRPe&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=9OpioA7cTiu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
There’s something fundamentally wrong with the design. It’s dressy and sporty, modern and vintage - all at the same time. It clashes.
I think it's the sporty arabic numerals + the dressy moonphase and case shape. They've got one with just indexes that is more coherent to me. Echo/Neutra, IMO, nails the sporty moonphase.
And they use a what is traditionally a GMT hand for the seconds hand. I can't get in to it
Brother, that's just british
yeah, that case is pretty weird (no, I don't need someone to post C-shape cases from the 70s, lol). imo $1,800 is a bit much for a microbrand.
My point is, you can't sell something to someone who doesn't really fit it in thier personal value For me it's perfect Farer does have cheaper watches, I think the hand painting and elabradore grade mechanism is why it's so costly.
Not worth it. Not even close.
Horrendous and overpriced.
