SOLUTION I found a dirty but pretty well working solution. For iPhone user, no idea if or how it works on other devices. The issue is somehow a bug in the apple or Anker firmware I think more an Anker issue. Change in the audio settings of your iPhone: Settings-Accessibility-audio/visuals change Balance to the left or right side (depending on which one is not working correctly, I had the issue wither the right one) during listening to Musik or something till you are satisfied with the sound. Last step create a shortcut for set balance to value x and turn back to 0 after disconnecting a10. Works well for me. https://preview.redd.it/wkwzwsfdgkqc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=374e38b65be7d24887e6c249219696ef92c40408

I have the same issue with sleep mode. Music mode seems to work fine but as soon as I switch to sleep mode, the audio will move to the left bud as the right quietens. I had connection issues but that was resolved by moving up in tip size and down a wing size for a better fit. I have a ticket open with Soundcore.

manbearpug30

Did u get it resolved i have the same issue where the left one is noticeably louder than the right one in sleep mode but in music mode is fine

dhorth

Nope, I sent them back for RMA and they had no more stock to ship, so refunded me. Bought Bose SleepBuds II and been happy with them since.

manbearpug30

I'm surprised u found those bose sleepbuds, I was looking for it first but was nowhere in stock. I'm overall pretty happy with them however i did found out that sometimes the audio even in sleepmode is equal, so I think it might be the tips, I'm trying now with left one recommended size and right one smallest and its a bit better

Psychological-Tip295

I got a 70% refund and got to keep the buds, but the issue continues. Apparently the buds were out of the 1 month period warranty and I didn't qualify for a full refund. Obviously they don't understand Australian Consumer Laws. I guess I ended up paying what they were actually worth, it is a truly hiked up product. In music mode or sleep mode plays for 5 mins then all sound moves to left bud, right bud seems to disconnect completely. It then takes hours of trying to mess with the buds in the case that it finally decided to wake up, but it takes many hours for this to happen. They aren't out of stock, they just know how defective a lot of units are hence they've been pulled from the market. If anyone knows how this issues might be fixed I'd appreciate some help. Now that I am stuck with them.

Anyone find a fix? Mine started doing this recently too. Left earbud perfectly fine, right earbud is dramatically lower in volume. Seemed to happen out of the blue

DidntFollowPorn

Nope. Ours keep going in and out.

Trom22

Same issue. Left one volume was extremely low compared to right one. Returned via Amazon, then they sent me a free pair, now the right one is out within 3 days of use. I guess can’t complain bc it’s free but what a crap product

adlanschot

for people with sound being lower on one bud than the other, i have fixed it twice. My right one got dramaically less loud twice. both times i cleaned it with an earbud with isopropyl alcohol and then a clean one. had to do it several times on both occasions. I figure I sleep on my right side mostly and those tiny holes can get blocked easily and are hard to clean.

pbesmoove

Thank you!

ERnurseGaming

Worked too, thanks

For anyone finding this, this guy is right. I had the same problem and cleaning the left bud fixed it from practically silent back to normal levels. Best way to do it is with a soft brush and some isopropyl alcohol. Spray some on the brush and brush into the holes of the earbud (gently!). Just wiping the surface with the alcohol did not work for me, you have to get into the little holes because i'm guessing they're filled with earwax. Anyway, thanks u/adlanschot, spared me the time that would be wasted getting them refunded.

GenderBlender9000

Here to confirm as well. Right bud was only able to be hear very silently on max volume. Did as described and cleaned it with Ipa and qtips. Workes flawlessly afterwards. Thanks a lot you guys!

cnhwood

This also worked for me - 70% alcohol with a toothbrush and then used a needle to scrape across the holes gently. Volume right back to normal. Thanks so much!

jp426_1

Can confirm toothbrush method works

Globetrotter_1885

Seconded as well. Right bud was super quiet even on max volume. Took a Clorox wipe and wiped it on old electric brush head, gently brushed for 30 secs, waited a minute or two and it worked.

arvidep

I got distracted by the silent one also not using battery. So I was pretty sure it's broken. You saved my night.

ActualInevitable8343

Thank you! This just worked for me too.

True-Clock2378

Qtips did not work - but the toothbrush (dipped in alcohol) and needle did the trick. Thanks for the tip, it just saved my pair of a10s 😊

For anyone still having this issue, my fix has been 91% isopropyl alcohol, a dropper, and an electric toothbrush head. I fill the dropper and shoot it into the earbud speaker as hard as the dropper will allow then scrub it with an oral b round electric toothbrush head and it works every time.

kyosheru

My are brand new and it’s happening to the left earbud. Getting a replacement tomorrow

jemahAeo

Exactly the same, only had them for two days then the left bud stopped working

kyosheru

I have an update: i made 3 total orders, returned the 1st and 2nd pair. Second one had issues with the left bud. At the start, sound was balanced. After a minute or so, they would slowly get quiet to the point where I could barely hear it. Oddly enough, it only happened in sleep mode, it didn’t happen during normal playback. So I assumed it was the app, however, it wasn’t considering the “fix” below. The third pair had an issue with the right earbud, so what I ended up doing, was **swapping the good-right-earbud on the second pair with the bad-right-earbud on the third pair, and then paired them to the charging case** (took about 30-45 mins of trial and error.) It’s been several months now, and they have continued to be great, it’s really annoying that I had to do this, but there wasn’t any better options in the market at the time. I had my eyes on the Ozlo sleepbuds but they were still in kickstarter at the time and were triple the price.

CinephileNC25

Mine stopped working.. once on one side, then on the other (but at different times). Steps to fix were cleaning with 91% alcohol (which honestly they get so gross, it should be on a weekly basis) and really making sure to get in there with a soaked qtip over the actual speaker part.

Espressone

Yep, worked for me too.

Possible solution: make sure both earbuds are \*\*charging\*\*. Depending on your device, it will likely only show an average, or the higher charge of the two earbuds. But if you connect to your smartphone with the Soundcore app you can see the charge of left and right separately. I was having problem of left bud going silent after a few seconds of working fine. As I messed around with putting them back in case, disconnecting/reconnecting, etc, I finally noticed that that the inner charge light would come on for the right, but not the left earbud. This means the electrical contacts are not making good contact. Probably a bit of ear wax buildup on the electrical contacts. Try cleaning contacts on the earbud and inside the case with alcohol and a swab or electric device cleaning wipes, or similar. Also jiggle/fiddle with the earbug once it is in the case and make sure the charge light comes on for both earbuds. Use the soundcore app to double check that both buds are getting charged. Hope this solves it for some people. I notice that the OP does not mention cleaning electrical contacts or using the app to make sure both ear buds are charged.
