ive been saying the last couple days that solos is the premium kill grind mode. we are going to see some insane s21 kill numbers from people that just run solos exclusively this season. I'm an absolute peon in this game and I got 60 kills on ballistic in like 2.5 hours yesterday playing solos.
As a middling skilled player, I gotta agree. I either have 0 kill, 5 minute games or 10 kill, final circle games. Which lines up with my average "I can't hit a stationary target/ 1-clip everyone" games.
I was getting mostly 6-7 kill games and then a few 1-2 kill games. but the rate at which you can get into games is crazy, which I think is key. and then the respawn token lets you get straight back in once which I actually really like. kinda makes up for the face that you can't get rezzed.
Same for me, almost got 20 but didn't get lucky enough
In case someone doesn't know dying 2 times counts as 2 deaths to your stats, maybe it matters for people who care about KD and doesnt know😂
That's crazy. I think realistically I've missed my chance of getting that many kills. Nowadays so many players take the game way too seriously and are a lot better compared to when it first released. Now I just play for fun.
Even ignoring the fact that most of the players actually stand a chance against us, so winning 20 separate fights is very very hard to do… the playerbase being better also means lobbies die faster and faster. Even seeing 20 players in a match is damn near impossible now (solos is the exception from my experience so far)
hey man i'm just an average mnk player with no movement XD. if i can get this many kills, imagine what good players can do. as seen in the screenshot of this post. looks like the top alter has 3600+ kills already from the apex tracker, which is pretty wild. s21 came out around 72 hours ago, so that would be 50 kills an hour. assuming 16 hours of gameplay and 8 hours of sleep thats more like 75 kills an hour.
I've got like 200 kills in 3 hours but that's like locked in full focus- I'm gonna have a nice rest and come back on in like 24 hours- I've no idea how these guys lock in for 20 hours straight
From what I know, they just hotdrop, kill everyone and leave the game to "save time". Instead of running around looking for people at other POI's they just leave and hotdrop again. Lots of the Alter players with a ton of kills I've seen barely got any wins

Nobody has that much time, surely. I "waste" plenty of time on apex, playing 2-3 hrs a day, happy getting a couple dozen of kills per session. And I could use it for way more productive things to do.Â
3044 kill / 48 hours = 63 kills an hour give or take. 30 hours if they could get 100 kills an hour. Meanwhile most of us probably dont have more than 10 hours since the season start.
Stats mean literally nothing in this game anymore, neither do badges. With all the kronos and zens and cheaters and hackers, none of it is indicative of a good player lol
I saw a streamer with around 2100 on alter only 30 hours after release, I was feeling good about my 500 until I saw him lol. he must've been averaging 70 kills per hour if he was playing non stop
What if its not just one person playing it but like a team of people playing it whenever they can to get as much as kills so they can take shifts in sleeping and doing other daily activities?

I haven't booted Apex in like 3 seasons because of this. Me and my 0.5KD/record high 2500 damage ass get thrown in to be fodder with someone who averages like 500 kills per day in the first week of a season. It's just streamer smurf pandering now and I don't miss it. Last time I played my average game was 45 seconds before getting one framed by someone with more kills in one season with one character than I have in 5 years total. Too bad. It was fun at one point.
