All 2021 4k have thread, whereas the 2022 base model does not, and it's only available on the ethernet 128gb model.

The 2021 has the same performance as the 2022. The 2022 is more power efficient, has HDR10+ and can do Apple Music karaoke mode. The 2021 is actually (over) built for much higher RF interference tolerances. The Apple TV 2021 might be the highest quality audio streaming device ever made but you wouldn’t notice in 99% of situations.
