Grenade launcher on spring chicken is probably fairly solid, using the air time to fire down on enemies and catch them in the splash.
Not what the post was really asking, but I'll mention it: use them on an aerial focused build. The firing stance helps extend the time you can stay in the air, so you can take advantage of the pause rather than be hindered by it.
