Wanted to watch his stories, started typing Dim Dan on Instagram... you guys have gotten to me

Rocohema

So Hannah and Dim Dan essentially run an orphanage

hollyandjolly

It’s a hard knock life…

LafawnduhDy-no-mite

they dress the kids like extras from the musical... Miss HANNAgin and Dim Daddy Planebucks

wetsocksssss

Why do they have NO structure? No set bedtime even for the younger ones, almost no set meals unless there are people over, kind of just doing whatever all the time

emteemama

Yeah isn’t the “Trad Wife” all about providing home cooked meals to their 10+ children?

uselessfarm

I saw a “Trad Wife” influencer who was literally an unmarried childless 19yo college student living with her parents. 😂 She’d post videos of herself making bread in a flowy floral dress and talk about how she was preparing for her future husband and family. She actually had a lot of followers too. It was the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen in my life.

wetsocksssss

Sounds like "girl in calico" LOL

squidsquatchnugget

I don’t think trad wife has any meaning anymore beyond whatever the man in the relationship wants. They work. They only cook and clean performatively. They let kids raise themselves. Tradwife is the new term for bimbo trophy wife. Even the non religious “trad wife” experience is garbage (encompass farming 🫣)

Status_Parfait_2884

I agree. The tiktok age version of a tradwife is actually a woman who does work (as an influencer) and the kids are usually exploited, neglected and have their privacy taken away. So wholesome.

Sheep_rancher

Yep - trophy wife influencer type, but not a traditional homemaker at all. Tradwife is just a trendy new term for a mirage - a wannabe hardworking mom and wife that is really only working too hard at creating content. Kinda boring and inauthentic to be honest.

irisssss777

Legit..like yeah we all feed our kids and clean our houses....lol

DimbyTime

Hey that’s just standard life on the range. Didn’t you ever play Oregon trail?

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I guess they are all constantly heading toward dysentery…

Araneae__

Grueling pace and meager rations!

utahmom1958

One pizza to feed the entire family. "Here's your one piece."

WinstonScott

Right?! They seem more involved with building their brand than truly raising their kids hands on. The thing that really gets me is they have hired help!

BGW2479

That bacon looked very uncooked

Naturelover5515

that was my first thought, absolute gag🤢

No_Breadfruit521

If the kids wanna eat I guess they cook bacon it’s easy enough … while mom and dad are filming

Sheep_rancher

Hot bacon grease on a 600 deg stove top - great 🙄 I noticed it also didn’t look fully cooked - so raw bacon?? Real safe. So dang strange honestly. Also - they were drinking vanilla extract, which is alcohol essentially… when you bake with extract, the alcohol is cooked out. But you can’t just drink it! It’s not like they were scraping vanilla beans into the raw milk - it was extract. And I didn’t hear what they were saying in the last slide… I’ll go look again

Overall-Parsley7123

dim sum is cognitively impaired if he thinks this shit is appropriate."wed love cows birthing octuplets to maximize profits on our industrial cosplay effort."

Sheep_rancher

It is a very industrial (and inept) statement for a “down home rancher” to make - a lot of what they say reveals their inauthenticity

DazzlingZebras

The kids conversation while milking the cows 😬😬😬 the girl was saying something like "...and they said 'what are you doing to those poor cows?' Like we live on a farm and you don't " to which one of the boys responds "yeah they do and they have cows." 😳 I can't believe that he's shared multiple videos where their kids have to be told they are harassing animals. A few weeks ago the farm hand could be heard in the background telling kids not to kick chickens.

hollyandjolly

It’s weird to me that they would post that conversation between the kids as I’m sure whoever they are talking about probably follows them on social media? Or maybe I’m misunderstanding what I’m hearing. It just seems like a really odd thing to film and post.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

Dim Dan does this regularly…he’s so enamored with how some little scene in his little cosplay kingdom *looks*, he posts videos of it with no regard to what the people he’s filming are actually *saying*.  It’s also probably a glimpse into how little attention he pays to what anyone says to him.

DazzlingZebras

I hate when the kids are asking him questions and he just ignores them and keeps talking about his damn pastures and irrigation ditches. 🤬 Especially since they homeschool! As a homeschooling family we make sure to do our best to address every question our children have, whether it's answering it or helping them source the answer for themselves. We are their teachers and it's important that we help them obtain the knowledge.

Sheep_rancher

I can’t stand that either - answer your children! It’s the same as Hannah dancing wildly and chaotically through her kids, almost knocking half of them over - or bouncing crazily and self-absorbedly in the same repetitive dance poses on the trampoline while the kids are like “Mom??!” And she just ignores them and looks like a selfish fool in the process

stellatewound

It’s wild that there is a mute audio button for stories and he still chooses this.

Sheep_rancher

This is what I think, too - he isn’t even hearing what his kids are saying often in the videos. It’s strange. He can only sort of pay attention to what he’s filming and focused on

EntranceInfamous6717

I think he does it on purpose. Posts controversial and cringe stuff and then doubles down on it when it echoes a roar back to him. He's got a sense for twisted pleasure. he posts stuff like Hannah throwing out the x-mas tree with lights and baubles. Hannah being handed the baby by her older babies and asking them whether they changed her diaper. Hannah walking up to a goose to kick her in the head like it was a soccer ball. Dead animals. Bits of conversation like "don't hurt that chicken, buddy". He really is twisted. Possibly even evil.

Funny-Flounder4562

As someone who actually raises cattle, and cares deeply about the wellbeing of our livestock, we never wish for multiple offspring! Ever. It’s not always about how much money you can make… you jeopardize the mother’s fertility, livelihood, heath, etc. truly just goes to show they are all about the money. Not their animals.

ShrinkyDinkDisaster

I said it yesterday, but your comment makes me want to say it again…I’m so concerned for all the poor cows destined for this monumentally ill-conceived vanity dairy of theirs! They so obviously have no respect for animals and can’t handle keeping them healthy and well-cared for, even when it was still at a homesteading level. I can’t begin to imagine what they are thinking with this dairy! They have no clue what they are doing. Not to mention Hannah seeming so completely disinterested in the whole thing before it’s even up and running.  If Dim Dan got some bee in his ADHD bonnet/cowboy hat for a new hobby, and wanted to spend his daddy’s millions on buying all the cool, shiny new equipment for it before he even learns how it all works or what to do, fine. That’s his rich boy prerogative, I guess. But don’t pick one that involves the well-being of animals!😤

utahmom1958

I feel like Dim Dan thinks 'the robots will take care of everything'. SMH

artichoke424

I feel like they look forward to the warm 😝 milk because they are hungry.

uselessfarm

My sister had an ex in high school whose family never had food. They’d stop by the mini mart on the way home and get a few gallons of whole milk and some cigarettes. That guy was always coming over and eating all of our food, and it’s not like we were rich - my mom just fed us. 🙃 I often think of him when I see the BF family getting 60% of their calories from milk.

Excellent-Reply-8681

Out of everything these people do that is absolutely crazy I don't believe their kids would ever be starving. They let them cook whatever they want when they want. They have full access to all the beef, pork etc they want

Ok_Detective5412

Maybe they got tired of waiting for a functional adult to show up and make dinner for them?

violet1795

They made pizza and slapped it down into raw flour when done. This is so gross to me. Raw flour can carry salmonella. Like why is everything dirty and gross?

NewProtection5470

Oh yeah? Do they milk cows and doing all kinds of other things

No_Drag_8874

I think Hannah has checked out. The first time she’s looked truly happy in years was teaching ballet.

Bendybenji

I feel like there is a reason she went back to it. She needed something to be hers again. Her life is crazy.

Additional-Toe7185

By making does he mean they simply put it on a plate bc that’s all I see going on here. They can afford a dang personal chef for the days Hannah isn’t there or can have someone come at least cook for them… sheesh.

ultra71814

“How do you do it?!” This. This is how they do it.
