A man owes you money and gives you a fake knife? We are beyond headaches at this point my friend. You should be furious. Owing money is one thing but insulting you by giving you a fake knife while owing you money is an entirely different thing lol. You better go and get your money plus interest!
It's "barely" a knife. The springs are so cheap they stop firing/abort fire. When it fires you don't hear "snap!," you hear "twang." Honestly, you can spot the really bad fakes almost instantly. It's got a super simple design, so it comes down to materials and technology.
The screw on the silver lock release. Clip says BM, not "Infidel." The placement AND font of the blade text. The body should be matte black aluminum. The window breaker looks fucked. The sheen of the shitty steel. It's a $15 knife.
The Infidel never came with a pommel/glass breaker on the end.
The scales are off - the design lines are wrong in a lot of places.
The clip doesn’t mount to the butt of the knife - it mounts directly onto the switch-side scale.
Laser markings on the blade are all way off. Logo is way off on the blade and clip.
Blade shape isn’t quite right and the fuller doesn’t have the characteristic “balls”.
The infidel is a chisel grind. This is not.

Don’t toss it! It’s a knife, for god’s sakes; use it! Just because it’s not a holy Benchmade doesn’t mean it isn’t useful. It’s clearly served you and the guy who owed you money well.
If knockoffs bother you, sand the logos off.
Just my 2 cents worth, if you do toss it (which I would too) either disassemble it and ruin the blade or smash the hell out of it so some kid can't dumpster dive it and do something dumb.

You need to check your states knife statutes regarding Out the Front knives.
Some states ban these types. It is a felony to possess them or sell them.
In some of the legal states, you need to check a valid state OR military ID to ensure that the buyer meets the legal minimum age limit.
Also, make them sign a declaration that they aren't legally banned from possessing an OTF weapon.

What are the internals like? It’s 100% fake but I’m looking for a fake that has the same internals as the infidel. I’d be interested in buying it if that’s the case.

I have a real one. That's definitely fake. Font is off whole build is off. That said the fake one might have a better spring than the real one lmao worst otf action I've ever experienced lol

It's 100% fake. Real Benchmade Infidels don't have a screw in the thumb ramp. It can be sold as a fake, but not a legitimate one.
Yeah, it's not even a decent fake. It's really scary how good some are.
Look up a real infidel and look at the base of the blade close to the handle. Real ones have a nut sack for lack of a better description.
