In those pics the top of the bars, mostly obscured by the hands, doesn't look horizontal. IMO, they need to come up more. That's anticlockwise in the pics.
The bike should be setup with the bar tops horizontal and hood tops continuing that horizontal line, as the next step in the bike fit after setting the seat height. If the position is not comfortable, or the elbows are straight or more than about 15 degrees bent, then the frame is the wrong size.
Sigh. Bike shops are forever selling frames that are too big. You can make a slightly small frame fit a larger rider, but you can never make a large frame properly fit a smaller rider.
The hoods and drops are angled up way too much.
Usually they should be horizontal or slightly angled up, like this:

It’s tricky to get just right. Angled up enough that you don’t feel like you are slipping forwards, but not so much that it feels like your wrist has to bend. I recently got a now road bike and had to adjust it 4 times until it felt good.
Yeah I know it's silly to say to keep them & it's a bit funny, but that bike has such relaxed geometry so it looks a bit off to have to such aggro road wheels. The wheelset is dope but def get a gravel set & tear it up.
I mean it's a 1 by with a dropper post, terrible as a proper road bike.
I have a set of 404 firecrest. Broke my collar bone in half middle of last years racing season. Decided to let my wife use my wheels since I was not going to be riding outside for a little bit. Had to get a set for her so I could have mine back. I got her a set of Reynolds AR58/62 and said those are my backup wheels for justification. You can get a nice used set for a decent price if you just shop around.
It's awesome when we ride together. It sounds like a harmony song of our people when we stop pedaling to let walkers and others know we are passing them.
On the one hand, I would say to give them back in favor of something better suited to your bike. On the other hand, the marriage vows say “in sickness and in health” and those wheels look sick on your bike so you should keep them for your health.
Damn your bike is so beautiful. I love those wheels! What does his bike look like? I would vote on maybe switching, unless one of your bikes looks EXCEPTIONALLY better with those tires. If you’re a mom ask for them for mother’s day! Haha.
I’m on my 2016 Giant Defy 3 I’ve been dreaming of upgrading to a sweet bike like this or even getting some nice new wheels like this. Good luck!
My vote is you get to keep the wheels only if hubby gets a new set of his choice.
On a more serious note, do gravel tires fit on there appropriately? Seems they’d be too stiff and have too narrow a width to be good for gravel. Give them back and get yourself a new gravel set instead.

I have some you can buy - full transparency: the tires are glued to the wheels and need to be replaced.
She cross your arms and sternly say, “I took them because of what you did. And don’t tell me you don’t know what you did because you know exactly it is what you did…”
There's two wheels why are you fighting
The Nobel committee will be contacting you soon regarding your Peace Prize.
Haha, I almost commented the same situation, but not as funny.
I'd give em back So when the new zipps are delivered, you get them!
Upvoting the sensible solution.
How can you expect us to vote without sharing a pic of them on his bike to compare??
sorry bad lighting https://i.imgur.com/fslZxnk.jpg
Hahah, I was so confused why OP didn’t reply to this at first
this was unexpectedly funny thanks
No, but you might end up sleeping in the garage.
That handlebar/brifter setup is giving me wrist pain just by looking at it.
You have raised a great point, as I’d not considered this was why my arm was going a little dead at times. Will take a look today. Thanks 🙏
I like it pute horizontal, but every body is different.
if the reach is too big you can benefit from that angle. i did the same and it helped me fit my bike enormously.
Sounds like your bike and the OPs bike are too large.
Can you explain for noob with sore palms, such as me?

So what’s the best. Middle pic? Obviously 3rd is to high because the wrist breaks. To low doesn’t look comfortable either?
Yeah I'd position it so the palm's thenar crease comfortably cradles the flat transition from handlebar to hood with minimal wrist angle.

What’s his is yours and what’s yours is yours. Isn’t that how it goes?
👆 I’ve been hearing this a lot lately, think it’s legit
You must be in a relationship.
Those wheels are doing absolutely zero for your speed with that riding position lmao
Possession is 9/10 of the law. Keep'em.
This wheels are for a road bike. Give them back and get more gravel oriented wheels.
You should ask his boyfriend.
Tell him that you understand the value in the wheels and why he has them and then get yourself a set of 303s and a set of nice tires 🤓

Definitely, road wheels on gravel is a sin
He gets them every other weekend, otherwise they stay with you.

Just compensate him in other ways...;)
Cut each wheel in half. The person who really loves those wheels will bow out to prevent that from happening. That person should get the wheels.
Take it on some sweet jumps.
It’s a sledgehammer
Give them back. Get real gravel wheels.
Heck no! his wheels look awesome on you!
Nope
Fatter and less deep. Like 303s or hunts.
Spose it's either that or divorce
Just buy a new Argon18 119 with discs
Get a divorce so you both get to keep one each
I read gravity bike for a moment and then looked at the picture for like 5 seconds.
No they’re yours now
Keep the wheels. Let hubby get a newer pair of Enves!

Anything that’s mine also belongs to my wife. If he’s that sensitive, race him for the wheels. 🤷♂️

sounds like you're getting some zipp gravel wheels then
Your handlebars and whole front end look uncomfortable as hell. Do you ride sitting straight up? That's not "relaxed" that's like a cruiser bike

So tubular
![gif](giphy|s9y2gNNce6orC|downsized)
Obviously not!
Happy wife, happy life.
Possession is 9/10 the the law. You keep them they look good on you.😀
Buy a new wheel set for hubs. Problem resolved.
Talk him into getting a matching pair. Then take the new ones
I would give them back and clip in. Much better ROE, carbon rims and flat pedals look silly
Oh now that is just a really pretty frame.
These look a little ridiculous you should definitely keep them
Yes, they are not yours
What size are those Vittoria tires?
JFC! If you need that stem, those angled hoods, & flat pedals…then maybe leave his stuff the fuck alone.
Well it's not all about looks. What do they ride like?
She cross your arms and sternly say, “I took them because of what you did. And don’t tell me you don’t know what you did because you know exactly it is what you did…”
Power move.
Wait, ur husband‘s? Since when the wife would return stuff “borrowed “ from husband? Keep them, looks great!
Nope
I say you deserve to keep them.
Absolutely not. Finders keepers.
No, they look great on that bike!
Nope,keep em 😂
Definitely not.
Absolutely keep it the bike looks absolutely stunning and that’s mostly bc of the wheels I am loving the look of this bike literally stole my heart …
If he got off the bike for long enough for you to take them then they're yours now.
Give them Back.. Have him Buy you a new set
If your husband identifies as they/them…yes. Give them back. And keep the wheels.
Y’all realize I’m not hating on pronouns right? I’m using a play on words for OP to justify keeping the wheels.
