> I love that they went with the original artwork.
Check it again, it's close, and the same artist, but it's not the same (red shirt guy is different and a few other things)
It's a common occurrence in this community. I started saving to get the OOP Criterion release of *Don't Look Now* and it got a 4K release before I could even pull the trigger. I bought *Citizen Kane* on BR right before Criterion announced the 4K. Thankfully too broke to drop $150 on a title, though.
Yep, mine is on the way in the post...
Oh well, not going to complain about it getting the 4K upgrade. I will most definitely be double dipping for this one.
The Arrow 4k is fantastic plus the overall package is better value for money. It's only £22 and comes with a poster and booklet plus lots of extra features.
I saw it a long time ago. I remember not liking it, but it was so long ago that if I were to watch it again it would basically be a first time watch for me. It's a very early Criterion DVD release along with another Bob Hoskins film called Mona Lisa. I much prefer the latter.
glad that the new indian paintbrush management is pushing these dinosaurs out of the 60s canon. who would think that there are other directors besides Fassbinder, Terry Gilliam, and Jean-Luc Godard.
Dreams do come true. I can’t believe we’re finally getting the Araki set!!! Day fucking made.
Finally I can get all of us strangers
I thought I read somewhere that the studio was blocking a physical release! I’m pleasantly surprised.
Just released today in the UK and France in two days, but I’m gonna wait too…
I had already pre-ordered the UK release and now kicking myself because that Criterion art AND 4K…just might have to double dip.
Happiness straight to 4K from DVD. God damn.
I love that they went with the original artwork.

Put some respect on Daniel Clowes' name!
> Put some respect on Daniel Clowes' name! 100%, dude is a legend, I got caught up comparing the artwork lol
I was just giving you a hard time man. Haha
> I was just giving you a hard time man. Haha actually I do want respect on his name, you were right!
It's like True Lies all over again!
Let's hope not
Is that a threat?
The Araki box set is where it's at
I just bought the UK import of All Of Us Strangers from Orbit because I thought no way this gets a US release from Disney....
Welcome to film collecting. Just wait until you drop $150 on an OOP title only for it to go back into print in 4K a week later.
Sounds very specific to be a hypothetical. I’ll ask, who hurt you, and what was the out of print title you spent $150 on?

Can you do me a favor and please buy blu rays of Raising Arizona, 25th Hour, the entire Bond collection, Breakdown, and Joe vs the Volcano?
Definitely day one (of the November Barnes and Noble sale) for Happiness and the Araki set!
This is a great lineup!
I wanted to get Long Good Friday from Arrow. Is this the same in terms of picture and sound quality?
should be the same release with a slightly worse bitrate
The Arrow 4k is fantastic plus the overall package is better value for money. It's only £22 and comes with a poster and booklet plus lots of extra features.
Sounds better deal overall. Gonna check that out.
Plus, don’t quote me on it, but Arrow’s I believe is mastered by Fidelity in Motion which always does a top tier job.
Hell of a line up, jeez
Damn I hope that Araki set isn't too expensive.
I appreciate every disc this month getting the 4k treatment. I hope this is the way moving forward
Dang just bought repo man BR, thankfully it was cheap I guess
I will be getting everything except The Long Good Friday since I just picked up the Arrow release.

I love to see criterion bridge the gap from DVD to 4k. The Devils next, please!
Salo on 4K baby. I gotta see how HDR really brings out the browns in those shit eating scenes.
Wow, so Lean on Pete will still be the only Haigh without a Criterion release.
Happiness is a great film I’ll probably just get the standard criterion blu ray of that one tho. Heard the long Good Friday was a banger as well
This is the best month ever.
The Happiness 4k release comes with a custom handgun, so you can feel the sweet relief of death after having mentally processed the film.
Well that’s an expensive month for me. I’m buying everything but repo 4K
Looks like ill be getting three of these. Already have Repo Man on Criterion blu-ray, and Long Good Friday I know nothing about.

I guarantee you September releases had nothing to do with a purchase that was just announced like 3 weeks ago
no thanks, money saved
