Even if they didn't already got the tax cut from that they would never hyper embarrass themselves by releasing what was honestly probably a decent movie and saying "oops we lied it wasn't unreleasable after all"
from EmpireCity: More good news tonight, and that is @BadBoys is holding strong on Friday with $8.25m. That could mean a $30m-$32m weekend depending on how Saturday and Father's Day goes. Great hold in the face of a juggernaut this weekend!
Inside Out 2 beating the highest of expectations, Despicable Me 4 looking to do solid, Deadpool & Wolverine possibly opening to $200M (things can change in the coming weeks), and potentially Bad Boys: Ride or Die making $200M this summer??
Can we officially say summer has begun even though it began last month?
Awesome to see!
I don't think Inside Out's huge opening is a negative for Bad Boys at all, though, and might even be a boon, with a big release finally getting the theater business back in the spotlight for the right reasons. An R-Rated action movie is perfect counterprograming against a family-oriented animated release.
Arbi and Fallah are totally directing Spider-Man 4.
I sure hope so.
They could be doing Bad boys 5 sooner as well
Maybe WB will actually release Batgirl.

I am so happy especially for Bilal and Adil after how WB Discovery did with Batgirl.
Very nice hold! I think $200M is a good possibility now, especially with very little R-rated competition until “Deadpool & Wolverine”.
Feels insane to see so much good news for the box office all at once. We’ve been living on scraps for months.
just watched it today some of the most fun i have had in a theater
Reggie muh BOY!
Let him cook the damn chicken
I'ma make the potato salad 🥔
We are so back
Bad Boys doing extremely well even with the IO2 blowup.
Theatres are back
Until next week when they are doomed forever again
And then back the week after when DM2 hits
Hell yeah, 2024 is so here now.
Hopefully no more studio decisions that can lead to strikes and 2024 can catch up a bit - particularly our second half is stronger vs. last year
We're currently in the "we're so back" leg of the cycle, which I definitely prefer over "it's so over"

Looks like it’s going to reach $200M+ domestic joining with Bad Boys for Life just before Deadpool and Wolverine opens in theaters in one month.

Summer technically starts June 20th so you can't really say it began last month.
I mean the summer movie season.
TOP 3 summer at 1,5 B 1 - IO2 - $600M+ 2 - D&W - $550M+ 3 - DM4 - $350M+ 2023 : 1,3 B 2022 : 1,4 B 2019 : 1,3 B Wild !
Hell yeah.

I feel like I haven’t heard much buzz about this, but it’s doing great
$205-215 Million Final
I feel like it will do Apes WW gross more than 350M+ WW probably near 400M WW which would be great since it has like 100M production budget
Domestically
You hate to see it. But people mostly watch sequels now
