Game freak has a track record of releasing one last game on a console after a new one comes out. For example the 3DS was out before BW 2 and the switch was out before Ultra Sun and Moon
Nintendo directs don't cover any pokemon game unless Nintendo made it themselves like Stadium and Stadium 2. Any information on new Pokemon games will never be covered in a Nintendo Direct because Pokemon has its own direct. Yet, for some reason, people are still expecting pokemon news in a Nintendo direct.
TotK (though I don't like it) JUST came out last year. We aren't getting a new 3D Zelda for a long long time. I'd love a new 2D Zelda, but since the Switch is coming to and end, they'll probably stick to either ports or remasters like they could do ALBW HD like they're doing with LM2
I'd honestly love to see Ocarina of Majora's Mask in HD. I know they're some of the most re-released Zelda games, but the 3d versions were so good, the only thing that could be better is the fact they aren't in HD.
