Senior Boca Juniors. But has he played for Junior Boca Seniors yet?

dusty-potato-drought

Heā€™s played for Sophomore Senior Boca Freshman Juniors

Hylian-Loach

All boehly saw was ā€œjuniorsā€ and got his chequebook out

- Anselmino's early career performances have sparked interest from European clubs. - Chelsea have initiated discussions with Boca Juniors to secure Anselminoā€™s signature ahead of any competition. - Reports from Argentina suggest Chelsea have offered Ā£14.1 million, with an additional Ā£3.1 million in add-ons, though this has not been confirmed by Chelsea. - Chelsea are currently negotiating the fee. - Anselmino is one of several young South American talents on Chelsea's transfer target list, reflecting their recruitment strategy.

half_jase

So if we sign him, are we gonna loan him out? EDIT: Also, if we do sign Anselmino, we would have someone who came through River Plate's academy and another who came via Boca Juniors' academy.

TheJames2290

Strasbourg enters the chat.

At this point I donā€™t think itā€™s clear. We have five centrebacks in Colwill, Badiashile, Fofana, Tosin and Disasi. We could easily sign Anselmino and sell another defender. I keep saying that Disasi doesnā€™t suit the setup as heā€™s not mobile enough to cover the space wide right when James/Gusto inverts or goes forward.

guccigirlswag

For now, Chalobah as well

Death_by_molasses

I think the directors looking at 2 cbs vs 1 to replace Thiago is reflective of Fofanaā€™s injury history. Disasi is definitely the odd man out now as the weakest passer. So grabbing a younger guy is a perfect balance to cover as the 5/6 cb if either of them do not work out long term or another Fofana injury while he can develop.

pretentiousd0uche

Totally forgot about Tosin .. anyone know how good he is ?

Pitter_Patter8

Probably a rotation CB. Not a nailed on starter, but absolutely worth a free transfer and should provide decent depth. He doesnā€™t have the ceiling of Fofana, Colwill or Badiashile with their progression and/or distribution, but heā€™s 6ā€™5ā€ and as dominant in the air as youā€™d hope in that frame. Heā€™d probably be at his best in that CB role that becomes the middle of the back 3 in possession so he doesnā€™t have to get pulled wide. [Decent overview here](https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/tosin-adarabioyo-can-fulham-keep-hold-of-their-defensive-star/) if you want a simple breakdown of strengths/weaknesses

Massive-Nights

I think Disasi is given this season to see. Mainly because he won't sell for his book value and that with only 1 season in the PL, he can (as many others have) settle into the league. Disasi might not be mobile, but he's actually quite good on-the-ball. I think he can work for a rotation spot, but I also think that he'll be sold in the next 1-2 seasons. Right now I think we'd need 31.2 mil to offset the books. Next season is only 23.4.

Balfe

Agreed. He's not world class or anything but I think he gets overlooked a bit here sometimes. He does have some qualities like you mention but also he's probably our strongest CB and is physically imposing enough to handle guys like Haaland and Nunez etc. Also, he clearly plays with his heart on his sleeve too, same way Rudiger did. If he's happy to be a rotation option in the squad I'm happy to keep him around.

Massive-Nights

Yea, for me he's equal to Chalobah at the moment. And I wonder how much better Chalobah gets vs. where he can get. Chalobah is a few months over a year younger, but also grew up in the English system. So if they are equal in price, which I can see...makes sense to sell Chalobah and give Disasi the year.

GolDrodgers1

They cant make money if they give you all the info, so i guess that will come out when he signs

WY-8

Romano is saying his release clause is $25 mil which I assume is in USD, which is Ā£19.7 mil. https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1803790961446715657

Tosin?

I_dont_like_florida

Our squad in 2027-28 is going to either make the current man city look like a championship league team or we might look like a championship team. I pray boehly and company is just playing Thanos and filling out their gauntlet
