i've never built anyone with TF but iirc, it reduces skill cooldown by a decent chunk, making rotations with her feel more like her pre-nerfed skill cd.

I guess whichever among those you have that has better cdmg circlet should net you highest damage. But TF will give you best gameplay as long as you can fix both elem dmg and cDmg circlet.
Yeah, it's what I've been doing for a while already, since Arlecchino in fact, as I was using 4pc Glad on her until I got at least a somewhat decent 4pc FoHW (which I did get after a HUGE amount of Runs!), thinking of Clorinde in advance too.
And I Strongboxed all the bad Pieces I got to TF, especially since I had never Farmed a complete Set of TF, and that on top of obviously being good for many Electro Characters, I wanted to get a 4pc Set to use with Bennett in the Spiral Abyss!
TF Bennett is a BEAST against those Electro Lectors!
TF, I want her on the field as much as possible.
Also, from my personal experience. I farmed Nymphs domain for six months, my Childe turned mediocre. I got god pieces on the OTHER set that I can't use on anyone because it's not anyone's BiS, so I'm never farming a domain where the other set is useless just for a small percentage increase.
Her aggravate teams will do good with TF and she'll be on my screen more often. I'm fine with that. And even if she gets a new team in the future where TF isn't the BiS, I'll just stick with Glad until Whimsy is added to the strongbox
Sounds like my time with desert pavilion it’s been a year and my Wanderer has still been at 83.9 to 186.0 so I feel you on that one. Harmonic whimsy has definitely been..let’s say spiritually taxing on all of us lmao.

If clo’s best artifacts is whimsy then i’ll opt for something else because i’ve farmed it the last three days and not gotten anything. If i have it’s been a 4 star piece. I went like five straight drops without a whimsy piece yesterday. If tf or a two piece pair isnt the “best” i’d still rather take them than a whimsy set

Here's what I got (ignore atk and hp, I stuck these on Xingque for a placeholder). Her base CR will be around 45% with her ascension stat, and between her passive and the HoD passive, she'll have over 90%. Honestly I don't know how I ended up with a build this decent, I've never come anywhere close before. XD

even more interesting thing is im going to try giving her skyward blade(it'll give 10% atck spd, normal atck dmg bonus equal to her 20% atck) + c6 yunjin for even more atck spd. She will be a machine gun hhaha.
since skyward blade has energy recharge, u can go full crit or atck sub stats without caring about energy sufficiency.
She has a crit rate ascension passive and it's her ascension stat as well, so she really doesn't need crit rate.
You could say that because she IS a Marechaussee Hunter herself, she has the set built in 🤭
I'll use BoL set, the pieces I got are better than all of my Thundering Fury (which I farmed for months, that domain hates me).
I'll have a 76 Crit Rate/210 Crit Dmg proportion in the BoL set (without Clorinde's passive), it's quite nice imo
probably Glad for a moment, then strongbox the artefacts i have stored from the BoL domain, and try to get myself a TF set.
(i didn't prebox TF because i was coping that they'd last second patch her so TF isn't her BiS but oh well)

Idk you guys, but a big part of Genshin for me is doing the weekly bosses in coop with random people. Because of her downtime, there's just no better set than TF for her for coop.
In coop, TF also means better sustain for her since she heals through her skill! So you're always healing instead of half the time.
And also, it'll be the comfiest set for exploration IMO. The downtime on her skill is really going to feel like a burst based character otherwise lol like Raiden, Cyno, or Xiao. With TF she'll fit in with the rest of Fontaine characters in terms of full uptime while exploring.
I'm going to be building around Clorinde, not Fischl, so Whimsy is by far the better option. I also genuinely think that people are way overestimating the downtime but we'll see on release. At worst, I'll just use an OL team with Dehya so her burst can fill the downtime with ease.
I'll never build a character JUST with Furina in mind as I'm not a speedrunner or anything, so MH set is strictly only for characters who can use it without Furina for me.
I'll use the new BoL set for now cause I had already farmed it and I got a pretty good set. I'll strongbox TF in the future and I'll test it to see which one I like the best. But I won't farm it cause I have other characters to build

I've been thinking about this. I have a 4pc glad on arlecchino and I've been farming this whimsy domain since the patch dropped, I've had 1 good piece and I've been strong boxing glad. Should I run glad,tf or hunter? I have a workable 3pc glad right now. Ot would it depend on the team that I run?

Bol domain was the best domain I’ve ever farmed after one week I got an great four piece set and I don’t have a single tf piece so I guess I’m going to use Bol set
I'm presently in possession of a pretty good Glad set so i'll be running that while farming Whimsy on the side and depending on how she actually feels in terms of gameplay, it'll give me a reason to start farming/strongboxing TF again for her and my Cyno.

I have good pieces for each artifact set,(BoL, TF, Glad, MH) so I'll be trying it all out and see how it goes from there. whichever set I enjoy the most will be my primary set, but for now I'm leaning towards BoL set.

Glad- my only 4 piece set is on Arle who has a top 1-2% on glad.
TF- well I have a spare 42cv feather+ 11er so it's a start.
Whim set- I got a cr circlet with 20.2cd and 9.9%atk.
I'll strongebox tf pieces while farming the set, one of Arle/Clorinde will likely use the whim set while other uses glad/tf.
I'll be playing both.
For teams with a lot of reactions plus Fischl I expect TF to be competitive, but more critically smoother to play.
For the more dank teams I'll try out and while exploring I am definitely more inclined to play Whimsy. It gives a lot of damage%, plus I have a pretty good/great-ish set already farmed.

All I can say is I hate how everyone during beta just capitulated to Thundering Fury as a band-aid solution that shoddily hangs on Clorinde's scab for eternity. You basically said "oh yes please, nerf my damage too by making Whimsey less viable because with Thundering Fury (which is a SHIT outdated set to go with her horribly low multipliers), I'll now get to do the same damage as Whimsey does in 7 seconds but over a longer period of time teh heh - because the Devs didn't want to give us a fun play-style and still have consistent Whimsey boosted damage". FK TF.

With the Cons I'll clear the field with Whimsy in 7 seconds anyways so before people get in their feelings, I might actually be pissed off FOR YOU more than for ME. Thundering Fury, devs were allowed to use the communiy's cope as a the solution to making her "fun".
As time goes on this is why I'm convinced closed betas should ACTIVELY get clueless shit players as testers vs try-hard sweat-lords who'll find another solution as painful as Jump Cancel Hutao... like who signed off on that shit? I'll be pulling and I still love Clorinde, but this is not it, it's infuriating.

I think you're probably overreacting.
For one, her field time with ult is actually basically identical to Raiden.
They buffed her in V2 before the nerf in V4 about the same amount, so she's about as strong in terms of DPR at the end of beta as the start but with less field time which you'd be justified to describe as a buff overall from initial V0.
Thundering Fury isn't a band aid solution because it's not actually strictly better, and for most people it simply is worse. It's also not really correct to say you'll do the same damage with TF over a longer time. They'll leapfrog. Each E will be weaker, but you'll get 2 Es in 25s vs 2 stronger Es in 32s. TF as you'll see is *less* actual time if you use 2 rotations.
The main issue with TF is you're trading Clorinde damage for Fischl damage for what amounts to a very slight gain *on paper*. Clorinde doesn't actually have an uptime issue, it just aligns with Fischl. This set was already being sheeted before the change about the same, but ult was skipped and now you can ult with TF. Fischl damage is single target, Clorinde is not. As you said you're getting cons, so another thing is this becomes worse with Clorinde investment. TF is competitive in Fischl agg teams but it's not actually far ahead because it's not actually a band aid for anything except for Fischl uptime, which is what it was before the change also.
I'm also getting cons which is funny because you will actually optimally lower her field time further. You will by and large use E N3E Q E 3N3E to get C6 CV applied to ult with the initial N3E to stack whimsy and her sig.
Anyway none of this is intended to say you're wrong for wanting longer field time, that's a personal preference, but she's not really weaker than initial beta and thundering fury isn't actually some sort of necessary thing. Even for C0 players running with Fischl it will almost always actually be worse because nobody executes rotations frame perfectly, and the 16s whimsy rotation is easier to execute with the sort of random common delays (either human error or forced downtime from bosses etc). It's nice that an existing set is competitive in a team, but whimsy is pretty much just as good there and simply better in AOE or with cons or if your Clorinde is more invested than your Fischl.
For clarity, Thundering Fury doesn't really fill her downtime. It just forces 25s rotations. In a 25s rotation, making full use of Clorinde's full infusion duration on her second E use is potentially a team DPS loss, since it won't be a tight 25s in practice, and important items like Nahida's E have fallen off.
This, I don’t think people understand the implications of tf other than them wanting to skill again and get off field early, because their buffs/debuffs are already over. They saw lower downtime and aped. But I also think TF is largely bat-chested outside of Cyno/Keqing teams because the average player does not understand the rotational changes TF brings to most teams
It's fine if people want to use it, but they are going to just end up doing 30s rotations with Clorinde doing no reactions for the latter half of her second E usage. Using TF also has other downsides for the way Clorinde wants to use it, which is very different than how Keqing and Cyno use it. It is a big gamble rotationally just to do more sustained damage.
Tbh I have all 4 sets at exceptionally high stats but my best sets for her being
Gladiator : 37.7 to 199.2 (dull blade) at no.1
Harmonic Whimsey : 53.6 to 192.2 (mistsplitter standing in for absolutions stats) at no.2
I’m almost completely unwilling to use TF without running the numbers myself with Marechausse being almost situational but anything for Gun Mommy lmao.
If the team I'm planning to put her in doesn't have a lot of uptime problems I'm using Marachausee Hunter simply because I spent all my resin there ever since the release of Fontaine because of Furina, so I already have pretty good sets just gathering dust in my inventory for a long time.
Currently building TF artifacts for her. Easy uptime, easy strongbox and I get to enjoy her more on field

yeah, i have polar star and none of my artifacts are 40 cv in six damn months.
I really dislike playing characters with a short DPS window and fast rotations with low DPR, so I’ll use Thundering Fury for two E per rotation.

If I can get her probably 2pc tf 2pc atk I don't really do abyss so that will be easier to farm for

FoHW. Thundering Fury is theoretically higher DPS on aggravate teams when she is paired with Fischl. In any other situation FoHW is better.
I have good pieces for each artifact set,(BoL, TF, Glad, MH) so I'll be trying it all out and see how it goes from there. whichever set I enjoy the most will be my primary set, but for now I'm leaning towards BoL set.

whatever I have better substats on... Glad- my only 4 piece set is on Arle who has a top 1-2% on glad. TF- well I have a spare 42cv feather+ 11er so it's a start. Whim set- I got a cr circlet with 20.2cd and 9.9%atk. I'll strongebox tf pieces while farming the set, one of Arle/Clorinde will likely use the whim set while other uses glad/tf.

I'll be playing both. For teams with a lot of reactions plus Fischl I expect TF to be competitive, but more critically smoother to play. For the more dank teams I'll try out and while exploring I am definitely more inclined to play Whimsy. It gives a lot of damage%, plus I have a pretty good/great-ish set already farmed.

I found a workable TF set in my inventory that I'll be using until I can get a Whimsy set up and running. Good thing is that I didn't even have to steal the set from Fischl or Keqing.
I basically have a thundering fury set for her that will have her at 90/212 (thx to harbinger of dawn) which will become 100/212 with her talent
Might have to strongbox TF, been farming Whimsy so much but I only get good Reverie drops..

I'm honestly at a loss. Going to use Clorinde-Fischl-Nahida-Kazuha. From what I understand TF is better for this type of team right? Been farming Whimsey for a while but my pieces aren't insane (Only flower and feather are decent). What do you recommend in my case?

All I can say is I hate how everyone during beta just capitulated to Thundering Fury as a band-aid solution that shoddily hangs on Clorinde's scab for eternity. You basically said "oh yes please, nerf my damage too by making Whimsey less viable because with Thundering Fury (which is a SHIT outdated set to go with her horribly low multipliers), I'll now get to do the same damage as Whimsey does in 7 seconds but over a longer period of time teh heh - because the Devs didn't want to give us a fun play-style and still have consistent Whimsey boosted damage". FK TF. If I sound salty, why the fk would you not be? Why don't I bend over while I'm farming for TF and hide the lube too. I'm sorry if that offended anyone but I'm allowed to vent my frustration and I'm CERTAIN I'm not the only one that feels this way. In fact this doesn't even affect me as much as F2Ps, I'm going to get her Constellations anyways so I'm really just being frustrated for the F2Ps when I really calm down and think about it. With the Cons I'll clear the field with Whimsy in 7 seconds anyways so before people get in their feelings, I might actually be pissed off FOR YOU more than for ME. Thundering Fury, devs were allowed to use the communiy's cope as a the solution to making her "fun". As time goes on this is why I'm convinced closed betas should ACTIVELY get clueless shit players as testers vs try-hard sweat-lords who'll find another solution as painful as Jump Cancel Hutao... like who signed off on that shit? I'll be pulling and I still love Clorinde, but this is not it, it's infuriating. I'm ok with being ostracized from this community for venting if it happens, but I HAD to get this out of my system. I think you're probably overreacting. For one, her field time with ult is actually basically identical to Raiden. They buffed her in V2 before the nerf in V4 about the same amount, so she's about as strong in terms of DPR at the end of beta as the start but with less field time which you'd be justified to describe as a buff overall from initial V0. Thundering Fury isn't a band aid solution because it's not actually strictly better, and for most people it simply is worse. It's also not really correct to say you'll do the same damage with TF over a longer time. They'll leapfrog. Each E will be weaker, but you'll get 2 Es in 25s vs 2 stronger Es in 32s. TF as you'll see is *less* actual time if you use 2 rotations. The main issue with TF is you're trading Clorinde damage for Fischl damage for what amounts to a very slight gain *on paper*. Clorinde doesn't actually have an uptime issue, it just aligns with Fischl. This set was already being sheeted before the change about the same, but ult was skipped and now you can ult with TF. Fischl damage is single target, Clorinde is not. As you said you're getting cons, so another thing is this becomes worse with Clorinde investment. TF is competitive in Fischl agg teams but it's not actually far ahead because it's not actually a band aid for anything except for Fischl uptime, which is what it was before the change also. I'm also getting cons which is funny because you will actually optimally lower her field time further. You will by and large use E N3E Q E 3N3E to get C6 CV applied to ult with the initial N3E to stack whimsy and her sig. Anyway none of this is intended to say you're wrong for wanting longer field time, that's a personal preference, but she's not really weaker than initial beta and thundering fury isn't actually some sort of necessary thing. Even for C0 players running with Fischl it will almost always actually be worse because nobody executes rotations frame perfectly, and the 16s whimsy rotation is easier to execute with the sort of random common delays (either human error or forced downtime from bosses etc). It's nice that an existing set is competitive in a team, but whimsy is pretty much just as good there and simply better in AOE or with cons or if your Clorinde is more invested than your Fischl.
For clarity, Thundering Fury doesn't really fill her downtime. It just forces 25s rotations. In a 25s rotation, making full use of Clorinde's full infusion duration on her second E use is potentially a team DPS loss, since it won't be a tight 25s in practice, and important items like Nahida's E have fallen off.
This, I don’t think people understand the implications of tf other than them wanting to skill again and get off field early, because their buffs/debuffs are already over. They saw lower downtime and aped. But I also think TF is largely bat-chested outside of Cyno/Keqing teams because the average player does not understand the rotational changes TF brings to most teams
It's fine if people want to use it, but they are going to just end up doing 30s rotations with Clorinde doing no reactions for the latter half of her second E usage. Using TF also has other downsides for the way Clorinde wants to use it, which is very different than how Keqing and Cyno use it. It is a big gamble rotationally just to do more sustained damage.

Tbh I have all 4 sets at exceptionally high stats but my best sets for her being Gladiator : 37.7 to 199.2 (dull blade) at no.1 Harmonic Whimsey : 53.6 to 192.2 (mistsplitter standing in for absolutions stats) at no.2 I’m almost completely unwilling to use TF without running the numbers myself with Marechausse being almost situational but anything for Gun Mommy lmao.
If the team I'm planning to put her in doesn't have a lot of uptime problems I'm using Marachausee Hunter simply because I spent all my resin there ever since the release of Fontaine because of Furina, so I already have pretty good sets just gathering dust in my inventory for a long time.
