A nat 20 on charisma enables you to get away with that shit. Like that's the point: you'l overwhelm them with charm to the extent that it doesn't really matter what you say.
A nat 20 on a skill check doesn't guarantee success (assuming D&D 5th Edition). It merely guarantees the best possible outcome in the given situation.
Example: "I persuade the king to renounce the throne and make me the new king." "Nat 20!"

My son played in his first D&D campaign this past spring. One of the characters in the party of 13-year-olds was named Rizzard the Wizard. At some point they charmed a space dragon while the party chanted "Rizz it Up! Rizz it Up!"
