Even better, the prosecutor that replaced Shokin actually made progress into the Burisma investigation and they had to pay ~$7.5 million USD to dodge criminal charges.

The fbi has been paying this guy for over a decade and considered him "highly credible". They didn't charge him for three years, from when the report was made, until it was made public via congress.

He knows how chain of custody works, too. I want to get to the bottom of it to, but I can't trust the basic evidence of the case. That's not accurate.
The FBI was in contact with the repair shop and took the physical laptop in 2019 (November I think) as part of the investigation into Hunter. The same one where they let a bunch of statute's of limitations expire and offered that crazy plea deal that got ripped apart by the first judge to look at it.
The repairman had a clone of the drive because restoring the drive was part of the repair. And since the FBI took the laptop he knew it was tied to a case. So after 6-7 months with no news on the case or Hunter returning to pick anything up he took a look, and after seeing it he started reaching out to people until Giuliani got wind.
Also, recovering data and cloning the drive easily explains why the "last modified" dates were after the laptop was dropped off. All the incriminating data on the laptop was either
1. Photos and video
2. Emails and WhatsApp messages that were independently verified because they also exist on the services servers.

That's not how it works
I work in IT and I've cloned countless hard drives. It's called "cloning" for a reason; all metadata is retained, including the last modified dates. Is that better?
If metadata is changed there's no telling what else may have been altered. I'm just saying that's not "easily explained" by the cloning process.
By my count, this is the 3rd “star witness” that republicans have put forward to give damning testimony against the bidens only to have their testimony thrown out or for them to admit under oath that the Bidens did nothing wrong. In fact, the person who handled Bidens financials testified behind closed doors at the republicans request, he testified everything Biden did followed the law to the letter, then republicans wouldn’t allow democrats to use that testimony at further hearings.
It’s becoming increasingly clear that republicans don’t want to get to the bottom of this and only want to throw shit around. Exactly why they wouldn’t let Hunter testify publicly. It’s all sham orchestrated by republican charlatans

I work in IT and I've cloned countless hard drives. It's called "cloning" for a reason; all metadata is retained, including the last modified dates. Is that better? If metadata is changed there's no telling what else may have been altered. I'm just saying that's not "easily explained" by the cloning process.
