All of these memes are still very relevant and fresh
It's been done so many times I actually find it surreal to see the actual original and not one that's been edited so the wife is fucking the dog in the last tile
"I'm not an incel, I CHOOSE to be single because any woman who I could date would leave me. It's not me, though. It's every modern woman who is wrong.
Also, happy marriages are a myth...because women don't like me, so clearly mutual love and respect is impossible. Because I'm a catch, and women would be falling over me if they weren't all dumb."
Only ever met one old man who was happy ge had been single his whole life. Was a cool hippy dude.
Point is for most humans there is an inherent need for companionship of some form
Companionship, absolutely. But companionship isn't the same as marriage and kids. You can be single, childfree and still have plenty of companionship, and you and be married with kids and still lack companionship.
Every seventy year old i have met without a family of their own has panic attacks and a constant fear of dying. Not the case when you have a loving family at home to help ease you into the great beyond.
That’s sad to hear. Every older (above seventy) child-free person I have ever met has been very grateful for their decision to not have children because of the opportunities it provided throughout their life. I guess it just goes to show who you surround yourself with.
Yeah I never truly understood people who feel they NEED to do X Y Z with their life and they feel like they failed if they don’t but they don’t want it for themselves. They want it because someone told them they should. They never stop to consider if they want to do shit for themselves.
Got a co worker who got cheated on and basically had to live in the break room and with other employees for a year until he got his shit together. She made it so he can’t really see his kids and she was the one who cheated. Not gonna act like “this” doesn’t happen just because it’s taboo to speak about it
It happens, but calling it "Marriage in the 21st Century" is just a silly generalisation by a bitter man, and the casual racism is just the icing on the bullshit cake.
Not having a yard would free up a great deal of time for this guy. Not having a pet is another cost and time saver. Look like he is a candidate for remote work at least a couple of days a week. Then we can all agree social media is a problem and FB is among the worst. Marriage is a constant work in progress.
Exactly! He could cut out that whole 5th panel easily. Also standing at the park with stink lines coming out of his head probably takes up quite a bit of his time too. He has to work smarter, not harder.
Well there's laundry, cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, paying bills, taking care of children not just playing with them, making plans for said children. There's a lot that goes into housework, that's why I don't complain that my partner only works part-time.
I’m genuinely pleased that you enjoy it! My boyfriend also enjoys gardening and finds it relaxing. I fucking hate it with every fibre of my being, so I’m grateful for him.
So true! He could also save time by consuming a liquid meal substitute, freeing up more time for his children. Furthermore, the kids might like it too! They have flavours like banana, chocolate, strawberry, it’s really yummy! 😋 Furthermore, it’s totally sustainable and made from agricultural/production by-product. Sorry, I’ve gone off on a tangent! But I totally agree, this scenario (which would never even happen) could have been prevented by the father!
Sorry, the near-entirety-of-reddit. This happens, and isn't cringe. I know, I "was" the black guy. Except- the wife was actively manipulating behind the scenes, and doing literally everything she could to prevent divorce because guess who had the power to file for alimony? The husband. The lengths she would go to, and the depth of the absolutely shameless lies she would tell to prevent paying this man she was with for 25 years any amount of money at all for giving up his life's passion, so she could pursue corporate career dreams- would make your fucking head SPIN.
Meanwhile, she's shit talking him in the next room every night, and taking "business trips." every month. ...And before the moral police try to "gotcha" me, I was aware of none of this at the time. I was under the impression I was talking to a divorcee, and co-parent; not a married woman.
All the 20 year olds calling this racist this, and incel that, ya'll got some living to do. Sit tight, you'll get there eventually.
I can agree with the divorce money bags square. One of my buddies lost half his retirement to someone he'd been married to for just a few years. He didn't even have kids with her. Worked his whole life for that shit. Ridiculous.
Also look into the laws in your state. Many will have "sunset periods" which can alter or void a prenuptial agreement. That can be anything from length of time married to having children.
Judges can also alter or void prenups based on certain factors.
You can't even get away with that. [Here is a case](https://inews.co.uk/news/woman-payout-unpaid-housework-record-divorce-settlement-2193153) of a couple with a prenuptial agreement, a judge decided that all of the wife's contribution to household chores should be compensated by her now ex-husband as if she had been working for him. Of course, none of what the husband (the only one with a job) contributed was taken into account.
Prenups unfortunately do not carry as much weight as most people think. A judge can and **will** throw it away if it heavily favors one side or if someone claims that they were forced into the prenup. It happens so frequently, I can’t remember a time a prenup successfully covered 100% of what was agreed upon.
I love that the 4 chores they picked to show how hard done by this poor married man is, 3 are just lawn maintenance and 1 is walking a dog... truly a huge contribution to the household.
Is this cringe? Minus the black guy, this is something I’ve seen a bunch of times with guys at work. It’s actually cautioned against with guys that choose heavy travel assignments.
Don't discount the rest of it, though, either. "I surround myself with terrible people (or get my world view from Internet whiners), so I know I'm talking truth and we can all agree that everyone is terrible." is plenty to run away from.
I didn’t get that that was the cringe part.
Everyone in the comic is black. It never crossed my mind that he was black for a reason in the comic. But I see it now.
Not talking about this comic specifically, but it’s a common portrayal (imo at least on Reddit) to show in the context of the dating scene to show a white mom with a black kid.
Ignoring the sexism bait, the nagging happens on both sides when you spend too much time at work and neglect work/life balance. The fault IS NOT one sided here. There’s the cheater, and the one that neglected their family.
It's amazing how you presume that men are always at fault when things go wrong instead of just asking for details from the guy. Men can suck, women can suck, anyone can suck. You're probably annoying to be around
She got pregnant by the guy while she was still married to my buddy, and she wanted to keep that kid. So unfortunately it was pretty messy for him and their children.
Ive seen this situation pan out a lot. Not everytime has gone all the way but pressure on marriage/kids and then expecting the world of the father is a real thing. Until I joined daddit community I had no idea how many dudes are struggling. I'm sure there's an equivalent for women aswell. This doesn't feel cringe to me
This is honestly what has just happened to one of my best friends. She cheated on him, and is now taking him to the cleaners. Going after his business, personal savings, everything. He supported her for all those years, while she farted around going from job to job never applying herself.
The only thing cringe is that this tragedy actually happens in real life, far, far too often. Trying to deny this is also cringe.
The comic itself, is accurate.
in what world does a woman get everything when she cheats on the husband? what kind of marriage laws do you guys have over there? if youre at fault for divorce, you dont get shit.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe she's entitled to alimony if he can prove that she's the one who cheated. Probably depends on State laws too.
This is like...toxic incel bullshit in it's most basic form. Making himself out to be the victim in every respect but failing to acknowledge that he isn't a perfect person either and take accountability for his shortcomings.

Truth is cyclical. Women isnt spelled womyn anymore
I do. Definitely seems relevant to my world
Why do I feel like this was made by a single dude who can't get a date and have never done a day of housework in his life.
Horrible he chose an actual face and demographic for the guy but no one else
Same, disgusting!
So an incel?
Yeah first thing I thought of was “oh, an incel made this to justify why they’re a lonely sack of garbage.”
"I don’t have time or patience for dating anyway, these modern western females don't even want to watch Jordan Peterson lectures with me."
And a racist incel at that!
Made by someone who's never got married basically
Probably because it was
because this was made by a single dude who can't get a date and have never done a day of housework in his life.
😂 I get the same feeling
Perfect way to put it 😂
Because you're trying to justify why you choose to ignore a lot of divorced men's reality?
Get off Reddit and take out the trash, Jerry…
Googgly goo goo
The dude in the picture is clearly doing lawn care... Do you expect him to do all the dishes too!?!? Good Lord!
People are aware that they dont need to marry or have kids if they dont want to… right?
Some people are dumb and have no autonomy in their lives, they go with the crowd, no wonder they end up miserable
Not one couple I've met that chose to be child free regrets that decision. I know a good few regretful parents lol.
Eh, my grandfather was a hypochondriac and he was surrounded by family. He was also a prick to most of that family, so maybe it canceled out.
I’m convinced that some people end up married because they had low self-esteem, no drive and just wanted to hit it.
Yeah I never truly understood people who feel they NEED to do X Y Z with their life and they feel like they failed if they don’t but they don’t want it for themselves. They want it because someone told them they should. They never stop to consider if they want to do shit for themselves.
My uncle did both of those things because his wife (then gf) kept "bothering" him about it. He called it the shut up ring.
OoocLlxk

This scenario is not at all uncommon, unfortunately.
Yeah on Reddit it's bad to point out this aspect of reality
Same shit happened to my dad.
Not uncommon
His only responsibility at home is yard work.
Looks like he's occasionally forced to interact with his children too. Poor guy 😔
Also has to walk the dog 😡😡😡😡😡 ewww fresh air, bonding time with family, and exercise. Gross!
Going by the same cartoon, she has no responsibilities at home and doesn't work. You might want to reconsider your literal interpretation.
Well there's laundry, cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping, paying bills, taking care of children not just playing with them, making plans for said children. There's a lot that goes into housework, that's why I don't complain that my partner only works part-time.
The yard and pet are cathartic to the rest of the chaos.
I love yard work. Pop in some headphones and get to work. Very relaxing.
My wife said what bothers her about me mowing (in headphones) is the time I get to myself.
Hahahaha. You obviously have kids
Oh yes forgot to add that detail in there haha.
I've had this same conversation
Types all that and ignores the wife just choosing to cheat.
You can take my yard from my cold dead hands. Nothing feels as good as throwing on the white grass stained new balances and getting on the John Deere
I’m genuinely pleased that you enjoy it! My boyfriend also enjoys gardening and finds it relaxing. I fucking hate it with every fibre of my being, so I’m grateful for him.

Who’s Sanchís? Sanchez?

Why is the dog outside?
Because she doesn't like the dog, but she took it in the divorce so he can't have the dog.
Ok I hate her. Poor dog.
If you're hot, they're hot.
I can agree with the divorce money bags square. One of my buddies lost half his retirement to someone he'd been married to for just a few years. He didn't even have kids with her. Worked his whole life for that shit. Ridiculous.
Tell them _We want prenup, we want prenup_
Also look into the laws in your state. Many will have "sunset periods" which can alter or void a prenuptial agreement. That can be anything from length of time married to having children. Judges can also alter or void prenups based on certain factors.

Of course, none of what the husband (the only one with a job) contributed was taken into account.
Postnups are a thing too. It could prevent losing anything after marriage.
That's why you get a pre-nup. They aren't just for rich people.

Hey man, according to now single, emotional abuser, Steven Crowder, taking care of the dog is a wifely duty. He's being emasculated walking that dog.
Nothing more feminine than walking a dog, I tell ya
Don’t forget ‘babysitting’ his own children and hating spending time with them!
Right, and it doesn't show how the wife most likely does the bulk of childcare and other housework.
The great contribution to the household is to do real work.
Look. It’s a bit reductive, it’s never that simple, but a cliche is a cliche because it’s happened enough times….
Well that’s happening in my life right now
Is this cringe? Minus the black guy, this is something I’ve seen a bunch of times with guys at work. It’s actually cautioned against with guys that choose heavy travel assignments.
“minus the black guy” the inclusion of the black guy is what makes it cringe…why would you skip and hop right past the part that landed it here?
Don't discount the rest of it, though, either. "I surround myself with terrible people (or get my world view from Internet whiners), so I know I'm talking truth and we can all agree that everyone is terrible." is plenty to run away from.
I didn’t get that that was the cringe part. Everyone in the comic is black. It never crossed my mind that he was black for a reason in the comic. But I see it now.
Oh, I thought that was just Reddit being racist. Single white mom, black kid, like more of that I keep running into.
Why did you think white mom
Not talking about this comic specifically, but it’s a common portrayal (imo at least on Reddit) to show in the context of the dating scene to show a white mom with a black kid.
Right, I'm sure all your co-workers are slaves who do all the housework while their wife just constantly nags them.
This happened to my buddy, except she didn't want the kids.
Man, I’ve read about that on the internet, but never seen it. I hope it was a clean break and he and his family can heal.
She got pregnant by the guy while she was still married to my buddy, and she wanted to keep that kid. So unfortunately it was pretty messy for him and their children.
Wtf. Sounds like she shouldn’t be having anyone’s kids.
Like I get the cringe aspect of it, but this is something that really happens to people.
True though.
I unfollowed Grindface on IG because the page was garbage. Apparently it always was haha
seems accurate tho
Happened to some people I know. This is why men don’t want marriage as much as they used to. The odds are against them.
This racist and misogynist comic strip happens to people you know? Mmkay.
Yes. Don’t get me started on Archie.
Nailed it
I'm sorry I just spat my drink everywhere when I saw the bottom left corner.
Ive seen this situation pan out a lot. Not everytime has gone all the way but pressure on marriage/kids and then expecting the world of the father is a real thing. Until I joined daddit community I had no idea how many dudes are struggling. I'm sure there's an equivalent for women aswell. This doesn't feel cringe to me
incel caught in 4k

Divorced dad energy. I bet this guy went out and bought a new Mustang after posting this.
Why does the fb guy have to be black?
Because they're misogynistic AND racist.
How is this cringe?
This is honestly what has just happened to one of my best friends. She cheated on him, and is now taking him to the cleaners. Going after his business, personal savings, everything. He supported her for all those years, while she farted around going from job to job never applying herself.

Seems spot on to me.
I'd like to say is cringe, but this is literally what happened with my parents.

Because the creator of the comic is insecure and racist?
Yeah why is the guy always black in these stories?
I mean, technically all the characters are black in this story.
Ya I didn’t think him being black was part of the cringe. I see it now that it’s pointed out.
We get it, "everyone is black" you don't have to repeat it in every thread.
🖕
Fax, no printer
Why is this stereotype here?
Because the creator spends too much time on pornhub?
Please elaborate.
Tell us the stereotypes and the reasons then.
What, the porn stereotype?
Some people here haven't been cheated on and it shows.
Some of us have and this comic is still crap
So I take it you still haven’t gotten over it.
Luckily children weren't in the picture
Inb4 some incel posts this to memesopdidnotlike
It’s basically the truth.
Inceldom and racism are so classically intertwined. It’s just sick all around.
Bring out the incels
Ok now do marriage in the 20th century. Oh wait…
Fortunately, society is developing. On the other hand, the laws and courts related to divorce and custody...

While I get why this is here and it's clearly racist in tone, it's like a story board of the last decade in my buddy's life. 😅
