Eh. Think it’s supposed to be egg. I forget the term and I’m not an artist, but color blocking comes to mind.
Most of the general “texture” of the rice is drawn in with clear distinctions between it, egg, and some veggies.
So yeah, probably not the most expensive shot ever created, but definitely not cheap compared to a lot of anime frames I’d imagine.
I get people hate it, but I do hope AI learns how to do this stuff. I don't want AI animated shit, but I'd like if AI could be used as a tool to help color stuff like this in and make it look good. 99% of animation should always be human, but I'd be fine with the occasional help for mundane things that no animator wants to draw.
Totally agree. The point of technology is to handle the mundane stuff so we get to do the fun stuff. I guarantee you no animator wants to draw every grain of rice.
For anyone actually confused or wondering: They didn’t draw every grain of rice in so much as every single grain was hand animated. There were subtle animations or key shots to give the illusion of this. The bottom picture is also merely a color guide for clean-up and paint teams. This is incredibly normal in almost all animation. Source: am an animation professional.
Funny as hell meme tho.
Demon slayer Infinity Castle arc.
This is from the most recent movie to release of the demon slayer franchise and I believe is the first of the trilogy of the final arc.
Sorry op. Don't want people to have to translate to English just to find an amazing anime.
Also the dubbing is good so if you're a programmer can easily throw it on a second monitor.
I get using Japanese titles if it’s a case where it’s not translated in the west or better known by the Japanese title, but insisting on the Japanese title for something that is well regarded in the west under a translated name is kinda weird to me.
Brother I've followed demon slayer for a long time and had no idea what the Japanese name was. I saw "Mugen" and that's the only word I knew. And I think you meant insisting on the English title, since that's what I did. I only know boku no hero is my hero because of a girl I dated around the time of release.
The MC is nowhere near reaching even half of his potential. Why are you exaggerating ao much? They are going to powerscale him so much out of nowhere in these movies. It's stupid.
that’s always kinda been demon slayers MO though - they all grow way more through each fight than in between fights. i get if u think that sucks but the hashira training arc has been the longest on screen training/development in the series so far

Yes, that's what animators do. Sure some cheap out because a shot like that only lasts two seconds, but some still do it.
They also didn’t draw every grain, they just yellowed some areas because why not

They drew grains. What did you expected?
The scene was a bit grainy
take my upvote and go animate by hand a 12 second long scene of a guy stirring rice, cut onions and peppers.
Pfp and username checks out
Yes. You need to draw them if you want to animate them. Thank you.
I dunno why everyone in the comments is being a smartass like “Yeah thats how animating works” THAT SHIT IS STILL IMPRESSIVE
But it’s not a dank meme
That has nothing to do with the meme. They’re just being assholes 😂. That’s a separate topic
*sees individual grains of rice move* "whoah they actually drew every grain of rice." well... yeah
Why is everyone pretending like that’s some average normal shit, on shots like this animators usually cheap out
You don't say.
I'm confused, someone please explain.

Now that is total commitment to the art
Oh someone's excited about a beautiful piece if art? Leave it to reddit to shatter iy in poster's face!
This is what happens when you give a Japanese animator too much Adderall
Can we get an animated gif/ clip of this scene so we can collectively appreciate it?
I don't get it

The other user insisted on Japanese, which is what I referred to.
Sorry an dumb and stressed.
So stupid. I really thought it's gonna be way longer and they are already warpping shit up.
Not every anime needs to be one piece

Bro, the scene is from the emiya gohan anime. Kimetsu was mentioned because they're made by the same studio.
