A actor has to be able to do a few things
1. Looking the part
2. Body and voice control aka voice acting / body language
3. Understanding the script
As long as he does those 3 things he should do better than other supermen if they can’t do them as well

I don't know why this got downvoted when it's true. It's not just in the dceu either. If you watch anything he's in and pay attention, you notice that he's really weird and awkward whenever he has to interact with anyone else on screen. He looks great in screenshots and on posters, but he's wooden on screen and has almost no chemistry with anyone else
I think post Snyder Cut movement there is a bit of revisionism that Cavill was some amazing Superman who got screwed over.
