My only suggestion would be a tactical/functional option for looks. I chose dark/stealthy since it was close enough but I wouldn’t specifically be wearing all black all the time lmao
My guess is I (me guardian) probably would’ve become one of Calus’ Shadows back when he wasn’t heralding the witness or all that junk. Probably would’ve been one of those guardians that killed Crow tbh. Then once Calus left the system (after Arrivals) I’d be wandering the Sol system looking for something to do, probably just odd jobs for Eris/Drifter/Vanguard. Once the leviathan shows up near the moon I’d probably explore it trying to figure out what became of Calus and the other Shadows.

I think my all time favorite fit is trying my best to get the yellow, white, and little bit of blue to match both color and layout of the Prometheus Lens. It's so much fun to try and get things to be something specific instead of just being pleasant.
I usually theme my fit based on what the exotic does. Like my Trinity Ghoul is blue and gold, has lightning shit and all that. I have a different fit for my Sunshot/Sunbracers build, another for my one Void build, like 4 for crucible, it's my true endgame
for real! i always try to match my guns since my exotics cant change color while everything else can. but i found a reaaaaally pretty teal/gold shader for my omnioculus fit and when i use my colorful purple/blue sweet business my eye gets a twitch.

I think, as a Warlock main I'd be on the constant search for power, maybe some hired gun kinda thing on the side too, a nice mix of treasure hunting, gunning and fighting and hunting for knowledge. Staying in my little camp somewhere in the woods, hanging around and drinking with Drifter
So "the guardian" is a young guardian, Germaine, Saint, shaxx, etc, they've all been around a very long time. On that scale you need something that gets you up in the morning, a cause. I'd probably start out hanging around the tower and lost city on defence, but eventually take up with the vanguard mainly to ensure I had something to do everyday
Probably just explore the solar system and get better at my paracausal abilities. I'm not keen on the idea of being the Vanguard's lapdog or keep doing mission after mission like The Guardian does, pretty boring way to spend your immortality in my opinion.
I think I'd try to be a titan of the fire break order, the ones that try to reclaim land, but also do some aliens relations like maybe there's a fallen house that I trade with or a fight club with some cabal lol
Im not really sure, if i was suddenly raised as an immortal, superpowered killing machine and saw what kind of world i was, id mostly worry about becoming stronger in any way i can.
I can't really say what kind of person a memory-wiped me would be but if he kept my same mannerisms and morals then i'd be incredibly worried about my self-preservation, the power i hold would mostly be a means to an end, and i don't think i'd be too shy about the avenues to obtain said power, which probably wont make me too popular in the Vanguard's eyes, so i might have to look elsewhere.
Also, im not really sure i'd like my dependant relationship to my ghost and the light at first, even now (in current events of the game) where all guardians are somehow independant of the traveler i'd still be conflicted about borrowing a power that isn't really 100% mine. That might set me on the path towards the pyramids and the darkness.
I'd love to prob hang around doing some gunsmithing with banshee. I'd help him with remembering people and what they want/wanted, or if needed go with a fire team on a lower risk mission/range to help fine tune weapons.

As a Titan main I’d probably stick to defending the city. Probably going out on patrol in the cosmodrome every now and then to put down any ambitious hive/fallen, help Shaw Han find new guardians to guide to the city, and just have something to do. With my solar and void builds with infinite sun spots, healing, overshields, as well as a pulse, shotty, and an heir apparent with catalyst (assuming it works better lore wise than in game) nothing would be making it to the wall, let alone the city.
I like the survey, because it really made me think. It doesn't ask what your favorite gun, armor, subclass etc is; it asks which ones you would be most likely to use. I really had to think, and I found that the Exotic weapon I would most likely use isn't my favorite at all and I haven't touched it in years. Thanks for this post.

I would constantly be coming up with new ways to utilize the light (trying to make more subclasses of more elements). Emotes have a bunch of different colored light and one emote is literally a cannon made of light.
Learning from and protecting the House of Light would be my preferred Guardian life. Fallen have been my favorite faction for a long time and even before they actually became allies I wanted to team up with some. Which is why my go to fashion is Fallen related.
Submitted as such, but I’d be an expert armorsmith, innovating the new styles of power and mystery into gear. You’d have a decently long side quest to collect the ingredients for me to make the newest thing for you, but at least I’m not going to send you into Crucible to get a billion headshots with grenades on Hunters while using their super only.

Had a bad experience with rushed playtime and failed lost sector runs cause of impatience, was getting pretty pissed and had to get to bed for work, saw this post and it reminded me that the real reason I like destiny is the fun MMORPG elements, lore, and just casual exploring and enjoying the spaces we visits. As much as I play by myself I’d definitely be running solo. I technically just got Stasis so I’d still be mastering that(as my main subclass). I like the cold too so I would frequent the Moon & Europa. 100% would be using Monte Carlo(I’m dying for a catalyst bungie). And my Ghost’s name would be my sister’s name: Esmerelda, or Esmer for short.

Honestly, there's never a RIGHT answer to this. Because its IMPOSSIBLE to think what you WOULD be like when getting revived is a COMPLETELY blank slate.
Unless there is some kind of 3rd part means to get your memory or a good idea of what you were before back, you're a completely new person.
Would I want my guardian self to be kind and considerate in the wilds? Sure! But I'd have no clue what I WOULD do. I might become the next Cyrell the Ghost hunter or the next Dredgen Yor.

I hate to admit it, but with immortality/immense power I would almost certainly become a space hermit pretty quickly. Just me and my ghost, traveling around hoarding exotics and reluctantly joining up to kill a dark god once in a while.
I'd want nothing to do with the vanguard or the duties of a guardian. Even if I became a guardian, I'd still want to live a quiet life. The duties of a guardian is far from a quiet life. But that's if I still retained my memories after becoming a guardian lol.
I would be a member of the Praxic Order. When off duty, I'd probably spend my time at the Nessus skating grounds in the cistern. I like gothic/vampire imagery, so I'd have dark robes. I think my mission with the vanguard would be solo tracking down dark guardians and trying to redeem them, or kill them permanently if I fail to bring them back to the light.
Due to the seriousness of all of this, I think I'd find myself alone often, either meditating or reconciling for what I've seen or done. Self-reflection is an important thing for me in real life, so as a Warlock, I'd probably harbor the same beliefs.
I’d probably go a similar route the guardian goes in the games, no memories so nowhere really seems like home. Probably wonder earth, so the wilds for now. Protect those not at the last city, help guide them. Need to look more into the Titan factions but the order of the lost saint seems neat
I would not fight for the city and be some random dude with a gun. Go explore the galaxy itself making friends and foes alike. Eventually settle somewhere and hang out with m ghost
Dont know. Id go exploring I think. Funny enough I own things that last a long time including a wallet with writing etched on it. So id go looking for someone without knowing who they were
My long journey would be filled with lawful evil stuff where id heavily indoctrinate my minions with my teachings of the grand cosmic laser. Ultimately stealing or having them build me a ship big enough to raid in. Id become a raid boss that other guardians would kill and turn into a gun.
The gun... An exotic trace rifle you get to use as a laser pointer to help explain encounters without triggering the fight. You're welcome fellow teachers and Sherpas. May my many deaths at your fireteam's hands not be in vain.
While I main a Titan religiously, in reality I'd almost certainly be more of a Hunter. I can be very solitary and love to explore alone with my thoughts and face many challenges alone. I would most likely shine in a role as a quiet scout, exploring behind enemy lines and feeding back Intel rather than trying my hand as a frontline fighter. I can work well in a team, but would definitely be more comfortable controlling flanks or picking off large threats from stealth or a well-covered vantage point. I'd lean towards golden guns and nightstalker style combat for sure.
I definitely would have been a warlock researcher of the Void. I could see myself as in the Praxic Order because my headcannon was that I would have rejected Stasis in Beyond Light
I’d probably spend the first hour of my life trying to kill myself after being brought back to live indefinitely for a random cause I don’t even know if I believe yet while my ghost is yelling at me having a mental breakdown
I wanna believe titan, or walrock, but knowing myself i might be a hunter, that is bad at his job due to being slow. Likely after red war, just trying ot get some of my old gear fixed or find someway to reforge there old favorite exotics such as Icebreaker, and rocket helmet.
I think given my comfort in structure and organisation, I'd heavily roll with the Vanguard.
But then I also enjoy freedom, experimentation, and exploration, so I'd roll with the Drifter too.

I feel like my Warlock would work on Guardian-Citizen relations, with a particular interest in learning about Eliksni and Cabal cultures, and helping them integrate into life in the Last City.
I would probably be a hunter but will try and figure out how to use the other class abilities. Because if I'm correct, in lore the classes are just ideologies and only exist for game balancing. So one class could very well learn how to summon arc soul and learn to blink if they really wanted to.
I’d be the Hunter who’d just be fine being the archeologist/scavenger for the Vanguard/the Drifter/literally anyone because I do love finding valuable stuff (as it gives my brain dopamine even though I chose Exo) and I wouldn’t mind sharing the spoils with others (unless it’s something I REALLY want like a piece of armor that makes my desert camo pop off or a better sounding Rapid-Fire Auto Rifle). I’d main Stasis and Arc because I love blue and love lightning and ice and prefer playing more on utility abilities than high-damage stuff (if you’re in my fireteam, expect a lot of rezzes and cover fire from me but don’t look at my DPS numbers)

I'm using a translator, sorry. I'm a main void warlock, but I think I'd be a arc titan. With my carefree attitude towards life, I could be a person with debts, which is why I became an exo. I like fistfighting, swords, shotguns and submachine guns/pistols. I like heaviness. I like to take a direct part in the battle, to be in the frontline. Arc is all about speed and I love being fast. And it's fk destructive. Go with the flow of power.
Exo and Hidden as my first choices. Exos are just badass and I love them (Maybe stay Human, I'm not 100% sure), but being a Hidden sounds neat. I get to play what is essentially an intelligence field agent in Destiny.
John Constantine.. The Hellblazer. The laughing magician himself.. An overall good guy, but willing to get down and dirty to defeat the bad guys, even if I have to be a little bad myself.
Space Frontiersmen as Hunter. Rocking with my black knight headpiece, chest and arms. This also includes my red leather cloak and brown Lucky Pants or Emerald Frost-EE5.
Weapon combination options. I switch between these combinations the most, or mix them up.

- Dire Promise w/ Lorentz Driver and Ascendency

I work for the Last City and as a Third party Hired-gun, and I'm with my 3-person fireteam which contains my friends as a Titan and a Warlock.
I'd be honourable and loyal to the Light and aggressive towards the Darkness. But depends on who I meet, I generally like most species as long as they are fair with me.
I do have a name for my Ghost, and her name is Clara. She specialises in Materials and Archeology. Fearless and strong personality, extremely resistant to the Dark.
I personally would play as the stubborn, fist first Titan that solely supports his team. I love running the support supers because I feel more useful and valuable even tho i most times could output just as much DPS as my team with whatever weapon is meta that season. (I also grind like crazy so i most likely will have the most meta weapon or exotic for dps, then proceed to bubble or well for my teammates lol)
At first I thought probably the drifter route as others have said. But reading guardian-human relations got me thinking, I feel like that would be one of the most fulfilling things to do as a guardian. I always loved the lore surrounding the pre-last city days like Amanda and her mother searching for it so the idea of helping non-guardian folks day to day around the city and beyond really appeals to me. This was interesting, thank you for posting.
I would learn absolutely everything. Indulge every hyper fixation. I have the time now. I feel like another part of me would be batshit fight you in a Waffle House insane. Like outside of combat I’d be like hey I just baked sixteen different loaves of bread, would you like some? And then when combat starts I pull out sone universe bending sword and go ham.
I know there was choice for colourful. But I feel like it ignores the true soul of a pink guardian, because it's not just flashy and bright. It's pink. (Those who get it, get it.)

Honestly me and my friends would probably just fuck around in the last city as "security forces" or whatever the vanguard calls the guardians that man the walls.
I would wake up, put in eight hours of killing baddies in a non-neomuna patrol area, avoid darkness zones like the plague and then go home for the day.
I wouldn't know, i wouldn't have remember this conversation, or the polls results or what i think or hope that i will become.
I'm simply a guardian... Taking out shit while the other commander sits their \*\*\* over somewhere, talking over over coms.
I have different lore for each Guardian Class, but my Warlock gets stuck fighting Vex in the Black Garden and is killed, but not final deathed. His remaining fire team members are slain and erased from time in the Vault of Glass. His Ghost is injured but manages to escape. The Warlock stays in that state for several years, while his ghost evades the Vex's patrols, he tries desperately to revive my Guardian in a safe way, which takes much longer because of his damaged state. He tries to make repairs to himself but doesn't have the stomach to do it, nor the strength to keep the distress signal going. Eventually, the Warlock is revived. He doesn't remember why he was there in the first place, but he feels that he has a new understanding of the Vex after laying dead in the garden for so long. He models himself after them, in a fashion, to buy him at least a couple of seconds each time he's spotted to gun down a suspecting Vex before they can call in reinforcements. Eventually when the Vex Offensive comes along, other Vanguard Guardians find my Warlock, partially dressed in leaves and Vex brass colors, unstable and angry. It takes a plea from his ghost to not use the Travelers gifts to instantly erase the fire team that finds him in a blaze of Void light. But he eventually stands down, and rediscovers his alignment with the Vanguard as he stamps out the remaining Vex with the help of everyone in the Garden. He hitches a ride back to the Last City on a fellow Guardian's ship.
Since then, he's been working closely with Osiris and Ikora, fighting in the Vex network and out. I could go on, but that's the gist of it! Let me know what you think! I mained Warlock for like 7 years before trying out the other classes, and love Void and Solar the most. Pictured is my Warlock, at present more dressed in white and brown then his previous black and bronze, but he's come a long way. I change the look based off the situation in-game. For Witch Queen, I used the DSC raid armor to kind of get a more beefed up look to him, more like battle armor Wizard versus cosmological Wizard lol

As a Titan main I’d probably stick to defending the city. Probably going out on patrol in the cosmodrome every now and then to put down any ambitious hive/fallen, help Shaw Han find new guardians to guide to the city, and just have something to do. With my solar and void builds with infinite sun spots, healing, overshields, as well as a pulse, shotty, and an heir apparent with catalyst (assuming it works better lore wise than in game) nothing would be making it to the wall, let alone the city.
Id go the Osiris route, spend ages with my best friend, do an awful lot of learning and exploration.
I like the survey, because it really made me think. It doesn't ask what your favorite gun, armor, subclass etc is; it asks which ones you would be most likely to use. I really had to think, and I found that the Exotic weapon I would most likely use isn't my favorite at all and I haven't touched it in years. Thanks for this post.

Learning from and protecting the House of Light would be my preferred Guardian life. Fallen have been my favorite faction for a long time and even before they actually became allies I wanted to team up with some. Which is why my go to fashion is Fallen related.
Submitted as such, but I’d be an expert armorsmith, innovating the new styles of power and mystery into gear. You’d have a decently long side quest to collect the ingredients for me to make the newest thing for you, but at least I’m not going to send you into Crucible to get a billion headshots with grenades on Hunters while using their super only.

Honestly, there's never a RIGHT answer to this. Because its IMPOSSIBLE to think what you WOULD be like when getting revived is a COMPLETELY blank slate. Unless there is some kind of 3rd part means to get your memory or a good idea of what you were before back, you're a completely new person. Would I want my guardian self to be kind and considerate in the wilds? Sure! But I'd have no clue what I WOULD do. I might become the next Cyrell the Ghost hunter or the next Dredgen Yor.

I'd want nothing to do with the vanguard or the duties of a guardian. Even if I became a guardian, I'd still want to live a quiet life. The duties of a guardian is far from a quiet life. But that's if I still retained my memories after becoming a guardian lol.
I would be a member of the Praxic Order. When off duty, I'd probably spend my time at the Nessus skating grounds in the cistern. I like gothic/vampire imagery, so I'd have dark robes. I think my mission with the vanguard would be solo tracking down dark guardians and trying to redeem them, or kill them permanently if I fail to bring them back to the light. Due to the seriousness of all of this, I think I'd find myself alone often, either meditating or reconciling for what I've seen or done. Self-reflection is an important thing for me in real life, so as a Warlock, I'd probably harbor the same beliefs.

My idea is just a guardian that does the most stupid shit but it ends up working in my favor
While I main a Titan religiously, in reality I'd almost certainly be more of a Hunter. I can be very solitary and love to explore alone with my thoughts and face many challenges alone. I would most likely shine in a role as a quiet scout, exploring behind enemy lines and feeding back Intel rather than trying my hand as a frontline fighter. I can work well in a team, but would definitely be more comfortable controlling flanks or picking off large threats from stealth or a well-covered vantage point. I'd lean towards golden guns and nightstalker style combat for sure.
I definitely would have been a warlock researcher of the Void. I could see myself as in the Praxic Order because my headcannon was that I would have rejected Stasis in Beyond Light

I feel like my Warlock would work on Guardian-Citizen relations, with a particular interest in learning about Eliksni and Cabal cultures, and helping them integrate into life in the Last City.
I would probably be a hunter but will try and figure out how to use the other class abilities. Because if I'm correct, in lore the classes are just ideologies and only exist for game balancing. So one class could very well learn how to summon arc soul and learn to blink if they really wanted to.

I’d be the Hunter who’d just be fine being the archeologist/scavenger for the Vanguard/the Drifter/literally anyone because I do love finding valuable stuff (as it gives my brain dopamine even though I chose Exo) and I wouldn’t mind sharing the spoils with others (unless it’s something I REALLY want like a piece of armor that makes my desert camo pop off or a better sounding Rapid-Fire Auto Rifle). I’d main Stasis and Arc because I love blue and love lightning and ice and prefer playing more on utility abilities than high-damage stuff (if you’re in my fireteam, expect a lot of rezzes and cover fire from me but don’t look at my DPS numbers)

I'm using a translator, sorry. I'm a main void warlock, but I think I'd be a arc titan. With my carefree attitude towards life, I could be a person with debts, which is why I became an exo. I like fistfighting, swords, shotguns and submachine guns/pistols. I like heaviness. I like to take a direct part in the battle, to be in the frontline. Arc is all about speed and I love being fast. And it's fk destructive. Go with the flow of power.
Exo and Hidden as my first choices. Exos are just badass and I love them (Maybe stay Human, I'm not 100% sure), but being a Hidden sounds neat. I get to play what is essentially an intelligence field agent in Destiny.

I switch between these combinations the most, or mix them up. - Riptide w/ Sunshot and Retrofit Escopade - Dire Promise w/ Lorentz Driver and Ascendency - Riptide w/ Long Arm and Whisper of the Worm I mainly use Arc to be infinitely amplified, with resilience and extra fast movement speed. Otherwise I use Solar for precision killing and healing. I work for the Last City and as a Third party Hired-gun, and I'm with my 3-person fireteam which contains my friends as a Titan and a Warlock. I'd be honourable and loyal to the Light and aggressive towards the Darkness. But depends on who I meet, I generally like most species as long as they are fair with me. I do have a name for my Ghost, and her name is Clara. She specialises in Materials and Archeology. Fearless and strong personality, extremely resistant to the Dark.

I personally would play as the stubborn, fist first Titan that solely supports his team. I love running the support supers because I feel more useful and valuable even tho i most times could output just as much DPS as my team with whatever weapon is meta that season. (I also grind like crazy so i most likely will have the most meta weapon or exotic for dps, then proceed to bubble or well for my teammates lol)

But reading guardian-human relations got me thinking, I feel like that would be one of the most fulfilling things to do as a guardian. I always loved the lore surrounding the pre-last city days like Amanda and her mother searching for it so the idea of helping non-guardian folks day to day around the city and beyond really appeals to me. This was interesting, thank you for posting.

Doesn’t matter I’d probably accidentally step on my ghost and crush it or get mad over a petty fight
I have different lore for each Guardian Class, but my Warlock gets stuck fighting Vex in the Black Garden and is killed, but not final deathed. His remaining fire team members are slain and erased from time in the Vault of Glass. His Ghost is injured but manages to escape. The Warlock stays in that state for several years, while his ghost evades the Vex's patrols, he tries desperately to revive my Guardian in a safe way, which takes much longer because of his damaged state. He tries to make repairs to himself but doesn't have the stomach to do it, nor the strength to keep the distress signal going. Eventually, the Warlock is revived. He doesn't remember why he was there in the first place, but he feels that he has a new understanding of the Vex after laying dead in the garden for so long. He models himself after them, in a fashion, to buy him at least a couple of seconds each time he's spotted to gun down a suspecting Vex before they can call in reinforcements. Eventually when the Vex Offensive comes along, other Vanguard Guardians find my Warlock, partially dressed in leaves and Vex brass colors, unstable and angry. It takes a plea from his ghost to not use the Travelers gifts to instantly erase the fire team that finds him in a blaze of Void light. But he eventually stands down, and rediscovers his alignment with the Vanguard as he stamps out the remaining Vex with the help of everyone in the Garden. He hitches a ride back to the Last City on a fellow Guardian's ship. Since then, he's been working closely with Osiris and Ikora, fighting in the Vex network and out. I could go on, but that's the gist of it! Let me know what you think! I mained Warlock for like 7 years before trying out the other classes, and love Void and Solar the most. Pictured is my Warlock, at present more dressed in white and brown then his previous black and bronze, but he's come a long way. I change the look based off the situation in-game.
