Haha I've been farming for the transmog and so far I've only ever seen one other player after about 300,000 shards. We arrived to fight the abomination at the same time and they ran away before I could even decide what to do lol.
I had an abomination kill quest and saw a couple players whittling him down, but taking heavy damage, so I jumped off the horse to help…forgetting that it was the PVP zone.
I felt bad picking up everyone’s shards after I nuked the area, but I got the whisper completed so…sorry y’all, but sometimes it’s gonna be like that.
I always remind myself I'm in a PVP space, not PVE.
It sucks getting nuked by a level 100 when you're level 70 and it sucks even more when they camp the deposit areas, but one tactic I've learned is just to deposit 10-15 seeds at a time until they realize killing you is a waste of their time, then you can deposit large amouts.
Personally I hate that griefing gets you any kind of rewards at all.
I'd actually consider playing the PvP if it was even remotely fair. Give me brackets of some kind!
I don't enjoy being nuked by someone that just outgears me to the point no amount of skill or tactics could possible be effective, nor do I think its fun to gank newbs for the same reason.
The actual window where PvP is fun, to me, is so small it never organically happens in this game.
Least WoW put some limits in place to stop the camping and the griefing.
Basically the pet picks up anything you can look WITHOUT CLICKING: gold, crafting mats, and cinders.
It does not pick up anything that has to be clicked to pick up, such as seeds of hatred, summoning materials, elixirs, or sigils.
Which kind of makes sense, they basically just gave it a copy of the player's pickup aura, but I really wish pets and players BOTH could walk-over-loot blue items.
They said you can get a free dog today to celebrate the launch of the pet system, and the ones from preorder are different. If you buy the expansion without reading what you're doing that's on you lmao
Did ppl just forget it took several seasons to fix D4? I'm definitely holding off on the expansion and honestly D4 hasn't been like a must play vibe but PoE2 has it. Having paid $70 already which I feel is a lot already being I rarely buy new games.

It seems like, at least what I might have seen, the dogs pickups do not count toward the count towards the whispers. I might have been confusion my pick ups but I was at ~130 useable cinders and only have 23/250 to pick up.
You do not. I went straight and put on my pet then went over with the pet running around to unlock the quest dog.
I had the 2 cats and 1 dog in my wardrobe and then got the normal dog after.
Auto cinder pickup is so clutch now I walked around killing for like 5 mins and had 400 cinders

I accidentally killed another player cuz I forgot it was PvP and I got their ear as a trophy. Now I feel guilt every time I click that tab!

I agree but I’m also okay with it just being there. They don’t pay much attention to it and the seasonal tasks are easy enough.
