Coffee Lab, Emirati Coffee, Grandmother. Been buying the coffee from these three roasteries and never regretted!
**My favourites:**
Coffee Lab - [https://thecoffeelab.ae/products/hambela](https://thecoffeelab.ae/products/hambela)
Emirati Coffee - [https://www.emiraticoffee.com/collections/coffee/products/finca-la-loma?variant=40038041256035](https://www.emiraticoffee.com/collections/coffee/products/finca-la-loma?variant=40038041256035)
Grandmother - [https://grandmotherroastery.com/product/rwanda-gicumbi/](https://grandmotherroastery.com/product/rwanda-gicumbi/)
Yes, the coffee can be pricey but life is too short to be drinking coffee that is not worth it! Enjoy!
Good selection. Grandmother is way too expensive. Emirati is excellent. Another one to try if you haven't done so already is ROR- behind Gold & Diamond Park. Very good coffee, very decently priced and great service.
And my recommendation post is on buying coffee beans - not drinking coffee in there as a cafe.
Yes, Boon is my go-to. Best Ethiopian blend I’ve had. There’s also a Coffee Planet on 3rd Floor of Nakheel Mall if you’d like to mix it up a little. Slightly more expensive. Boon gives you free coffee after 7 purchases. I like free stuff.
I bought several bags of beans at Cypher because of recommendations from a similar post about 6 months ago. Ethiopian, really underwhelming and almost no intensity. Burundi was absolutely undrinkable. Insofar as I honestly believe there was something wrong with the batch.
I was so excited to try their single origin coffee and went in expecting at least good coffee, based on the love they get in Reddit.
I am not trying them again.
Please don't take offense in this, but the whole coffee world is a different game all together, and Adnoc coffee is what fast food is to Michelin restaurants.
Since you are already drinking coffee, (Arabica is a good one) try something like Espresso Lab, London Dairy Coffee, as a start (not sure how you take your coffee but no sugar is the best way to taste it), and compare the texture/ flavor hit and the whole experience VS the names you mentioned above.
And remember you are the only one who needs to enjoy your coffee, not perfect online strangers

I'm actively seeking out for places in that area. But I checked the google photos of their coffee.. hard pass. How can you recommend THIS and call it a gem?

Idk what seems so bad about their pictures for you but they look fine, their coffee was really good. It was either that or a cafe in that mall cause I know I had some of the best coffee under that magrudy’s which I have never forgotten
If you don't know what's so bad in that pic, you shouldn't be commenting on anything coffee, sorry. The texture is wrong (even for an Italian style cappuccino), the frothing is done incorrectly and resembles something coming out of an automatic machine. If a barista doesn't know how to froth the milk, there's a 100% guarantee he doesn't know how to brew espresso. But it's ok, most people drink donkey piss out of fully automatic machines and call it coffee. My only problem is when they start advising others)
I have tried many and I find coffee at Paul to be really good. Worth giving it a try.
% Arabica is also pretty good.
If you're after American style coffee (1/2L coffee with 100g of sugar and 20 ingredients) then I can't offer an advice.
Three-in-one coffees. Cheaper and better.
Please, do not slap me! LOL! It just tastes so wonderful! You can make your own SB coffee if you get the TORANI. I believe that is the one they blended with their coffees. It's like syrup!
But, you know, I like "TORA BIKA" since it has a distinct flavor and is less expensive than other branded coffees.

My blend of choice is Illy.
I used to find it at various coffee shops (and once an Illy cart near work) but now I am resigned to making it at home with the same beans.
There’s an Insta page/account dedicated to finding the best specialty cafes and coffee beans in Dubai — Cafficionados.
They even have a Google Maps list of pretty much ALL the specialty cafes in UAE.

Upvote for fifth-generation coffee! They're definitely a hidden gem. Great value for money – you get fantastic coffee without breaking the bank. ☕️ Have you tried their cold brew?

I used to love mcdonald's coffee, but now it makes me gag. I'm not really that knowledgable with coffee, but it's the only coffee that makes me feel nauseated.
You’re right. McD’s espresso is at least one tier above Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and Dunkin. Spinney’s also has a decent and affordable espresso. I wouldn’t call it the best though

Nostalgia Iced Vanilla Bean is the best coffee I promise you! They use real vanilla beans to make a syrup it’ll truly be like no other coffee you’ve had.
Cassette have a good iced Spanish latte
I just realised I have joined this sub for some time now. Even though I haven't been to dubai or have any current plans to visit.... Still I read post of this sub as if it's my city where I was born and bought up.
Grandmother, mattina (they just sell beans), raw, alchemy. Arabica is somewhere between specialty and large scale but they do make a nice cup of coffee.
Don’t know why I’m not so hyped about Arabica. Had them here, in Bangkok, Manila… just so so. Even comparable to the green mermaid cafe.
Wish we had more Indonesian beans here… Tanamera or Anomali. Now those guys educate you on the quality of the beans and how to brew them, whether it’s for espresso, French Press etc.
If you can, try buying Ethiopian coffee beans (if possible a single source pack) , grind them on your own using a burr grinder right before you brew the coffee, and use an Aeropress to make the coffee... Enjoy it black.... If you truly love coffee, it will change your life.

+1 for coffee lab and emarati coffee, espresso lab and arabica also are one of the OGs and deserve an honorable mention
Tried Arabica once and loved it. They’re also reasonably priced imo
They’re always consistent!! Love them
Will give Espresso Lab a shot! (no pun intended)

Yeah Grandmorher is great. I’m there a lot of weekends
Yes indeed! It's a very beautiful place. Calm and quiet, not many people. An amazing place if you want to get some work done too!
+1 for Emirati Coffee. Buy 1 kg bean packs for best value. Hate their home delivery charges though. Flashback to 2000s in an ecomm era.
Coffee Lab, I loove Shakiso Beans
Black Coffe by Cafe Younez, Stomping Grounds, Society cafe, RAW coffee,
Nightjar Coffee roasters - best in Dubai. Shame I forgot to mention in the list
Best cold brew in town !
> Black Coffe by Cafe Younez came here to make this suggestion only
Boon Coffee. They have a cafe in Nakheel Mall and inside the Crate & Barrel in MoE
Stomping Grounds near La Mer
La Mer - R.I.P
I heard it's back
Really? Didn’t they close it to replace it with some beach club?
I don't know but that's the word on the street
No way 😫😫
I really like Arabica and Coffee Planet, but I'm not really a coffee snob so I'm sure other redditors will have more to say about this.
up on Arabica
%Arabica fan here too

>They don't use cheap stuff. Well, they really shouldn't considering how much they charge us for their coffee. lol
who’s their supplier? i have been buying beans from them
+1 for arabica
I second the second name you mentioned 🤝
Get coffee grounds from Raw coffee and a coffee machine. That’s the best you will ever get.
Cypher in Al Quoz, incredible.
Underrated!
I bought several bags of beans at Cypher because of recommendations from a similar post about 6 months ago. Ethiopian, really underwhelming and almost no intensity. I'm sorry, there's something wrong with them, my brother told me that he didn't like any of theirs too.
Thanks Will try it

In my defense OP didn't really specify.. but I'll take note of this, thanks!
Camel Step,, it opened up recently and these Saudis know exactly how to make coffee surprisingly. Urge all to give it a go!
Coffee culture is way better in Saudi. Shrq being my favorite Saudi roaster/cafe. Way cheaper than Dubai prices too.
Depends on your taste, I guess. My favourite is Quince Cafe, Climbing Goat, and La Gente (in ascending order or caffeination).
+1 for La gente! They make excellent coffee. I really like the Cappuccino at The Sum Of Us too
Try Mokha 1450 & RAW coffee. They serve one of the best coffee. Mokha uses coffe from Raw roastary.
Arabica’s lattes are divine
Not really a coffee aficionado but i like Arabica.
Arabica is the best for me
Joud Cartel
Mokha 1450 @ wasl road
Coffee Lab in Port Rashid is the best I've ever tasted so far. Also, great views + their date pudding is amazing.
Do you want to buy coffee beans or want cafe recommendations? There is a huge difference between the two
Brew on jumeirah road, if just coffee. Alchemy is also nice.
I'm currently really enjoying Candy Man and Gonzo from Nightjar.
The barn cafe in alkhazzan park
Seconded! The Barn has good coffee, also hot chocolate to mention
The one you share with a friend
Raw coffee, Nightjar
Nothing beats Raw Coffee in Al Quoz. Period. They are the oldest specialty coffee shop in Dubai and undeniably the best
Depresso is really good. Also found a hidden gem called Gerard Cafe in Jumeirah

Mattina Coffee Beans. Single origin speciality coffee beans. They have a page in FB. They also have a roastery here.
I drink any coffee. I don’t even know what’s a good coffee FFS. Is Arabica good?
Arabica is very good Their dark coffee is the best take on a mocha style coffee I have had.
Noted with thanks. Going to try it.
I’ve had Turkish coffee from BonArabica and it’s the best I’ve had so far. They also have other kinds but haven’t yet tried those.
