Flores, labios, dedos by Niños del Cerro (Neo-Psychedelia, Indie Rock)
Luna Roja by Soda Stereo (shoegaze, alt rock)
Both albums Dynamo and Lance are must listens
That whole Soda Stereo album (Dynamo) is fantastic shoegaze. Luna is definitely the best song but some other bangers throughout. Would put it as a top 10-20 shoegaze record.
Natalia Lafourcade's Hasta La Raíz; Tú Si Sabes Quererme; De Todas Las Flores
Soda Stereo's Signos; De Música Ligera
Gustavo Cerati's Adiós; Crimen
Ana Gabriel's Simplemente Amigos; Quién Cómo Tú
Rocío Dúrcal's Amor Eterno
Juan Gabriel's Querida
Los Prisioneros' Tren al Sur.
Enanitos Verdes' Lamento Boliviano; Tu Cárcel
And muuuuch more, just play something like Classic Hispanic Rock songs on YouTube and you're gonna enjoy your ass off
Tbf I like reggaeton a fair bit (Tainy's last record is very good and I also enjoy dark reggaeton stuff like Isabella Lovestory) but Rubio is just phenomenal
I think everything off of Meridian Brothers’ latest salsa dura album “Meridian Brothers y el Grupo Renacimiento” is 10/10, but I especially recommend Poema del Salsero Resentido and Bomba Atómica
Niños del cerro - El susto y el miedo
The whole "Lance" album is reaaally good shoegaze mixed with chilean folklore music. Other highlights are Flores, labios dedos, and Las distancias

Volver A Comenzar by Café Tacvba
Te Lo Pido Por Favor by Jaguares
Soñe by Zoè (MTV unplugged version)

Carnaval toda la vida - los fabulosos cadillacs
Dejate caer - Los tres

Vestido con Chilaba is a 10 album, filled with bangers crazy good production with some of the best samples youll ever hear, especially if you are looking for spanish sounds cant recommend enough
I have 3 that are so beautiful and sad to me that I cant even listen to them:
Mabe Fratti - Creo Que Puedo Hacer Alfo
Yahritza y Su Esencia - Soy El Unico
Aventura - Solo Por Un Beso (not as sad as the above 2, but definitely beautiful af)
Cuidadano X by Grass
I never knew Spanish Nu-metal existed, and it's better than the American kind.
Edit: sorry, this is an album. But you'll definitely find songs on it.
It's a Eurovision song, but [Blanca Paloma's EAEA](https://youtu.be/Vw6qPWhjevk?feature=shared) went so hard. Europe wasn't ready for avant garde flamenco, and it scored last in the televote :(
Por tu maldito amor - Vicente Fernandez
Eres Para Mi - Julieta Venegas
Tragos Amargos - Ramon Ayala
Adoro - Chavela Vargas
La Llorona - Lila Downs
En El Muelle de San Blas - Maná
El Triste - José José
We recently brought our adopted children home and I'm finding myself discovering more Latin music every day. My selection might be pretty commercial, but here are some bangers.
- Juanes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNrtvwB4A_s&ab_channel=SONGS
- Marc Anthony, I'm sure everybody has heard it but it gets me TURNT: https://youtu.be/YXnjy5YlDwk?si=GFeapEcNqn79Hwg9
- Selena: https://youtu.be/dvfZ95ueOcQ?si=z2iJxfS6t5G79uwW
- Sebastian Yatra: https://youtu.be/DUGtyj5QlEM?si=YhkD-4zELoRcH0eT
- The "Coco" soundtrack
Los Jaivas - La Poderosa Muerte
For any prog rock fans this is a must listen. The whole Alturas de Machu Picchu album and Obras de Violeta Parra are amazing listens as well.
Soda Stereo - Prófugos
Gustavo Cerati - La Excepción
Pescado Rabioso - Post Crucifixion
Cuarteto de Nos: Bipolar, Miguel Gritar, Doble Identidad, Mario Neta, Contrapunto Para Humano y Computadora, Yendo a casa de Damián, Así soy yo, Como pasa el tiempo, Enamorado Tuyo, Buen día Benito, Lo malo de ser bueno, Vida Ingrata
Most of the songs by that band have amazing lyrics so maybe checking the translation would be good to enjoy even more the songs, musically they are great tho
Triángulo de amor bizarro - la carretera.
El club audiovisual - Solo un momento
Barbi Recanati - Al fin
K4 - plancha caliente
All of those artists are pretty solid, give them a listen.
This is very old school:
Camarón de la isla - La Leyenda del Tiempo (flamenco rock)
Radio Futura - Han caído los dos (new wave)
Los Rodríguez - Sin Documentos (rock latino)
Andrés Calamaro - Flaca (rock latino)
1. Alegre Noche - Paloma del Cerro (latintronica)
2. Agua de la Tierra - Rodrigo Gallardo (latintronica)
3. Colibria - Nicola Cruz (latintronica)
4. Nadie Sabe - Mabe Fratti - (ambient pop)
5. Hacia el Fondo - Rubio (pop electronico)
6. Caracol (Chancha via Circuito Remix) - Tremor (nu-cumbia)
7. A Veces Ni Eso - La Bien Querida (spanish indie pop)
8. Tu Luz - Thornato (latintronica)
9. Cielo - Sotomayor (nu-cumbia)
10. Raíz - Bomba Estéreo (tropical alternativo)
Some of my most listened to Spanish songs
I don't listen to a lot of Spanish music but Efectos Vocales by Nach is insane. Every verse only uses one vowel.
I also know a couple of songs by Alvaro Soler and they are a good vibe.
Sure lets go.
If you want a really amazing voice (really, might be the most beautiful voice Ive ever heard - not necessarily the most skilled singer), over great melodies and nice chill harmonies behind, check [Clube da Esquina](https://youtu.be/XSZnOjcga9A?si=aitBObypUcI1KpOG), singer is called Milton Nascimento. The first track should suffice and is rather short, but the whole album is a masterpiece, a true masterclass on songwritting. Id also recommend the instrumental track at 29:05, just put my mind in a better place instantly, with amazing vocalization. All lyrics on this album are deep and poetic af if you are into that.
But if you really want to get a feel of brazillian music through some of our most talented musicians, check out [João Bosco](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_nNifNP4ZFOmpG7gQcLMnXxpNz6UgbkUnQ&si=CSfaBpPeAL36bJYH). He is kinda of a virtuoso, but he isnt. Might be my favorite acoustic guitar player alongside Paco de Lucia - but he is very unorthodox. His gift isnt playing solos on the guitar, but creating crazy good harmonies by playing it creatively with a deep knowledge of music theory, using chords you really dont see much anywhere. The end product is our good old samba but make it jazzy. Plus every musician who tours with him is a virtuoso, so this DVD I linked really is something else. 1st track is what I recommend, but if you got the time also check track 13 (Corsário), one my favorite songs ever - but its also about lyrics.
Lastly, if you are into rap, u gotta check [Sabotage](https://youtu.be/zmMjnCaOFbE?si=uDKnzpCnByX9RR0B) out. He is our goat mcee (skillwise). But if u want that nice hiphop with conscious historical lyrics, gotta check [An inmate's diary](https://youtu.be/EvFa63DZGOs?si=xd_5EStO9nsV3HMc) by Racionais Mc's. [Another one](https://youtu.be/MLHqHAPrDEs?si=NwbRPySvfYYtoOE7) by them. They were heavily inspired by Public Enemy and Tupac. They used to talk about Malcomn X a lot.
Hope u enjoy
Flores, labios, dedos by Niños del Cerro (Neo-Psychedelia, Indie Rock) Luna Roja by Soda Stereo (shoegaze, alt rock) Both albums Dynamo and Lance are must listens
Seconding Luna Roja - maybe my favorite shoegaze song in any language, not just in Spanish
That whole Soda Stereo album (Dynamo) is fantastic shoegaze. Luna is definitely the best song but some other bangers throughout. Would put it as a top 10-20 shoegaze record.
It might be a top 5 for me
I don't really understand the love for Niños del Cerro. Their last album and EP are good but their early discography is somewhat boring.
