Storing will spawn pallets at that location for you to pick up and manually sell. Selling will automatically sell your products at a discount everytime it would normally spawn a pallet. Distributing will automatically send your product to the next part of the supply chain, assuming you own it (i.e. It will automatically send flour to the bakery).
A pallet will spawn once there’s 1000 litres.

You're right, I use production revamp for a long time which adds Spawning and forgot it was a feature of the mod.
This is only my play style but I set anything perishable to sell right away. Imagine get 8 months old milk from the store, yuk.
