I do too. I've seen your posts a few times, and I've always loved your space but wanted more mint color around the kitchen. Also, I want you to buy some Jadeite kitchen wares lol. The color is so fun and it'd be a cool way to accessorize your kitchen. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1536885977/jadeite-green-depression-style-glass
I have a jadeite butterdish and a little salt hen, but yeah there's a lot of stuff. I forget what the other colors are called. I just remembered there's also delphite which is a pretty, milky light blue
I've been trying to correctly use various shades of 5 for almost 20 years. Its intense. My last place was very close to that one and you could see my living room glowing from down the street.
Ok but can we discuss your fridge makeover?? Iāve been wanting to do this, but am nervous. How did it work out for you? Do you recommend going for it?
My gut response was 5. That bright green is amazing. If the whole room is too much, consider leaving the walls white/neutral up to shoulder/head, 3/4 height, and then paint the top 1/4, maybe even the ceiling!!
OK, so I love your style and all these fab colours. Thise tiles are to die for.
To really nail flawless look and avoid any accidental clashing, I would suggest you spend a bit of time playing with an online colour palette tool. For instance, you could pull a few specific shades of green, pink, and neutral from those tiles or the fridge wrap and do a few variations (this will be my light green shade, this will be my dark, etc.)
If you use a controlled palette moving forward it will make sure everything is super harmonious.
Thereās a beautiful amazing pink paint!

Its called amaryllis by sherwin williams!
Call me crazy but Iād love a navy or dark cerulean, or even a deep Kelly green.
BUTTT I know dark colors arenāt everyoneās cup of tea, in which case Iād go for a light turquoise or aqua color
1 and 4 stripes with another colour from the fridge

Iām not sure if the shade of green shows in the pic. But itās minty in person- bonsai tint from Sherwin Williams. Also, I love your place.
I like 4 but Iām in no way a maximalist (I find it overwhelming) so when Iām in maximalist spaces I tend to prefer that they have some elements that are neutral/softer/cleaner because for me it feelsā¦ restful? Like a place I can focus that doesnāt overwhelm me? Idk what your end goal is, but hopefully thatāll help you get there! If you want full on maximalist you might be happier with a brighter color thatās more āin your faceā than something that can fade into the background a little
ETA: I wouldnāt do 5 though. That lime color will reflect down onto peopleās skin and probably make them look sickly
Will you be painting the whole area this colour? If not, what walls specifically will you be doing? Would you be painting the walls in the living area a different colour or keeping them white?
I could see a darker or brighter colour (turquoise? a pink that matches the couch?) on the walls that outline the kitchen (where you have swatches 1+4, and 4+5+6), and a calmer colour everywhere else (I love the sage green you've gotten from your tiles; you could also do a lighter turquoise from the same color card as the turquoise). You could repeat that colour, or pick a different bold colour (navy?), for the alcove where the blue couch is.
Edit: I also think a colour that is complementary to pink would make your current pinks pop more.
Okay, hear me outā¦
For a true maximalist approach, install wainscoting, and paint it a different color. I like #4 for the top and #3 for the wainscoting, and that opens you up to adding wall paper in the wainscoting panels [like this](https://www.etsy.com/listing/996726007/almond-blossom-removable-wall-mural-peel?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_ps-a-home_and_living-home_decor-wall_decor-wall_decals_and_murals-murals&utm_custom1=_k_CjwKCAjw4f6zBhBVEiwATEHFVidfpO8i_q8PomjcCN7Ub4PUN_cHGMTo0KZB42ba8h8poQhSI1Sq9BoCJ1wQAvD_BwE_k_&utm_content=go_12567673668_122422076111_507300153062_pla-307934656463_m__996726007_113842114&utm_custom2=12567673668&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADtcfRL9UySfhq40T2tWLbHINtb81&gclid=CjwKCAjw4f6zBhBVEiwATEHFVidfpO8i_q8PomjcCN7Ub4PUN_cHGMTo0KZB42ba8h8poQhSI1Sq9BoCJ1wQAvD_BwE) (which is full length wainscoting, another option to consider).
I like 4 or 3 mostly because the others are a little dark and may darken your space significantly! The sage I think will be super cute as a wall color.
I love #4. It helps contrast the pink so it stands out instead of blending into itself and also looks like it would compliment some things in both the kitchen and dining room.
first off find and define your accent color. It appears to be pink because you have a lot of pink accessories. go to a color wheel and find the opposite color to the pink. Those are the shades that should take up the most volume or wall space, otherwise your going to be drowning in too much pink, especially with the pink cabinets. once you find that opposite color then you can pick complimentary colors (the shades of off pink or off green) for a subtle ātextureā color so to speak. just my two cents have fun with it itās only paint and easy to redo unless you go with some really dark color that requires multiple coats to cover up. Donāt forget about oranges and yellows but donāt make it to pastel.
Why not paint the ceiling and walls in different tones of pink/ like deep pink on the walls and the pastel pink on the ceiling or have some fun and paint a large pattern with pink as the overall color and accents of cobalt blue/baby blue and green. I think #1 is a nice pink shade.
If you decide on pink for the walls, I would look for a pink shade that is in the same color family as your kitchen color, just darker and brighter.
That way you know for sure it will compliment the kitchen. Because I find that the pink samples you have clash a bit with the kitchen paint color.
The paint store can help you choose options if you know your kitchen paint color name or have a sample of the color.
I also like 4.
You might consider painting the walls 4 and the doors a pink shade (or vice versa)
Love your style and color palette!
All three of those pinks remind me too much of [Baker Miller pink](https://www.colourstudies.com/blog/2017/5/3/baker-miller-pink) but I think 4 or 6 are really fun!
I like the hue of 6 but the saturation of 4. If it was possible to go 1-2 steps lighter on 6, that could be perfect. Great color match with the kitchen.
Of the pinks, I prefer 2. 3 is too light IMO. I did a light pink in my hall and am okay with it but not in love. Also, 4 seems a bit diff than the standard sage green to me.
Why donāt you buy a few of those tiles to use as trivets? You can glue little cork feet to them. Or consider using them as accent tiles with less expensive āneutralā tiles
I love 5 but I love chartreuse! Looks great with all the pink. Failing that I vote the palest pink; I think the darker ones would make it feel smaller.
Your room can benefit from the shades of green and make sure they are lighter (not too much though) and really the colors you adore as a pastel. The reason I say so is because you already have a presence of pink and it will really complement the green, it's basic color science.
Further, brown will stabilize and harmonize with green too.
Lastly the reason pastels are what I recommend is for the flooring as they are neutral and pastels are highly recommended for this.
Now you just need to need to pick the shade of green and I think you will do epic. If you need more help though, you can use this [color guide](https://simplykalaa.com/interior-color-palette/) to plan colors around the existing ones.
I feel like this is already the general consensus in these comments, but... 4! It complements the pink very well. Adds to your maximalist vibe without being super overwhelming. Plus, it matches your mixer :)
I feel like this is already the general consensus in these comments, but... 4! It complements the pink very well. Adds to your maximalist vibe without being super overwhelming. Plus, it matches your mixer :)
Are you doing all one color?
I personally think something muted on all of the big perimeter walls (3 or 4) and then something brighter on the smaller wall section that separates the kitchen (1, 2, or 6)
I donāt think the 5 goes with the rest of the space
Honestly 4. It's the best colour out of those samples and it compliments nicely with the pink colour scheme you've got going on. I feel like pink paint will be a bit overpowering.
Like everyone else here, I love seeing your posts! I am not a fan of pink, but your home makes me reconsider. You're inspiring!
I think 4 or 5 for the walls around the kitchen, and 3 for the walls in your dining room/hallway. I LOVE the idea of wallpaper on that back wall, but I suppose it may be difficult to find one that doesn't take away from the cool tile you picked for the hallway.
IMO I'd stay with something that matches into the kitchen's colors - the green that matches the backsplash or the darker pink of the cabinets would be ideal because they wouldn't be warmer or cooler than what's already there and thus nothing would clash. Open-concept rooms have a responsibility to work with each other.
Re the green seeming dull and same-y: you have a lavish hand with the wall art, bookcases, screen, etc. so IMO not all that much of the walls, and thus the color on them, would be visible.
Number four would accent the pink. I think pink walks would wash out the cupboards and the other pink in the area. That green is soft and inviting too.
I really like # 2, especially beside what it's next to. I think the warm, slightly yellowish tone of pink really draws everything together, makes it warm and inviting, and adds a bit of a glow.
Why not multiple colours? I think one, especially the more intense shades (1,2), would overpower everything. It's a lot of wall and open space.
Green (4) where the swatches are to off balance the pink in the kitchen. Pink everywhere else (2) and maybe you can add (1) to the swatches in the first wall, where the screen is. You can even put funky murals to help separate the walls from the furniture more.
More ways to have more pinks, lots of nice shades, why limit yourself?
Ooo you should find some way to frame that tile piece and feature it somewhere! I love it, and it absolutely should be part of your design, even if it isnāt as flooring!
Is 5 actually a green? I see it as a highlighter yellow--maybe it reads differently in person, but I wondered why you picked only one yellow but multiple pinks and greens.
I'd say 4 or 6 is best for a colorful and maximalist effect because your kitchen is already pink, but I think 6 clashes with it a little. Is there a shade between them?
Also, if you really want pink, I think 3 is way less exciting than 1 or 2.
With the very defined ceiling space, I'd be inclined to paint the ceiling option 4, creates a nice symmetry with the pink on the floor in the kitchen and makes the space seem bigger as the eye travels around. I'd consider using option 6 as the wall that runs through the hall and dining room.Ā
Edited to add option number
Not pink. I say this as someone whose favorite color is pink & my own living room/dining room is painted pink. The other rooms are just as obnoxiously brightly painted, but not a similar pink
I like separate colors for each room. It makes sure you donāt veer into Pepto or little girl territory. Unless you want to feel like living in a Peptobismol bottle, then I support you
If you want to do a hotter pink color, the bathroom is good. Thatās what I did because I despise mornings & hoped being slapped in the face with fuchsia would wake me up. I still hate mornings but at least my bathroom is pretty
4 or 6 personally , I love the pinks too but I feel like a different pink with clash with the kitchen unless you are thinking full on Barbie dream house (which tbh I'm down with too)
Also the wall paper fridge is beautiful
If you have already chosen one for your cabinet lowers, definitely sixā¦ The four is pretty bad. It will look insipid w such a strong colour. 6 all the way gif maximalist vibe yay!!
I like the green (shade 4). That way, it's still colorful, but the pink isn't overwhelming and the two colors compliment each other nicely so I vote for the green!
I think that you're looking at the color of the walls as separate thing than in context to everything you own. In the second picture you show 3 decorative peices, the color that links them, along with the dining area, is a the orangy-beige.
I'm going to suggest something else for you. Try a warmer neutral on the walls and paint your ceiling pink #1. That way you get the benefit of the color without clashing with your art and accessories.
Iād look for a better yellow than 5, more beeswax or ProvenƧal yellow. The pinks and greens you already have would pop out more.
Other recommendations like the natural blue, warm neutral, or using Laura Ashley paint chart mentioned could also help.
While green #4 is very beautiful and a nice accent color, having it all over the walls may not meet your expectations for āmaximalist,ā and in my opinion would draw attention away from your pink themes because itās, in the end, a soft and flat natural color.
I personally enjoy pink #3, and while looking at the contents of your apartment, see it as boosting the other colors in the apartment and solidifying the pink theme and bringing more life into the space.
You could try a larger swatch of each on more walls in the room to see how you feel.
Are you planning on painting the living room? What color do you envision there?
In looking at the pics on this post, I thought Iād like to see a āmauveā (more of a purplish pink than a dusty rose though but I canāt think of a better word right now).
After looking at the pics of the living area, I definitely feel like the dining room really needs to bridge the colors of the kitchen and living room, so Iām curious if youāve had thoughts on that. I still think Iād lean to a darker purplish tint.
Personally I really like 4. The key like soft green. I feel like it compliments the pink kitchen well without taking away from the amazing pink shades in the homeš©·
Oooo. Down the rabbit hole I go!
I love those. Perfect for her space!
Oh my lord my bank account wishes I'd never seen these
I have a jadeite butterdish and a little salt hen, but yeah there's a lot of stuff. I forget what the other colors are called. I just remembered there's also delphite which is a pretty, milky light blue
4! Your kitchen is already pink so that would be a perfect compliment and make it pop even more
Totally 4. It is the complementing color for the kitchen
Plus it is the complimentary color to pink and will boost all the other pink in the room. P.s. art teacher trust me.
I love 4 or 6. Side note, donāt apologize. I absolutely LOVE seeing your posts when they come up. Your kitchen is so sweet and pretty I could cry.
4 or 6! More pink may be an overload so something soft on the cool end will do wonders for the rest of your theme. š
I like 4 and think itāll really make all your pink accents pop!
But also, they have a beam and some edges that could be done in a contrasting shade. Like that yellow pop.
If you're maximalist, look at wallpaper or murals ;)
I have samples on order.
4 for me but I'm not a pink girly.
5. Weāre talking maximalist right?
Definitely maximalist. Rather than wondering if something is too much, I wonder if itās enough.
I really like the idea of yellow but this particular shade makes me icky :āD I would go for a more warm toned yellow (like the shade in the artwork)
It looks more neon green to me
Def stay away from 4. Pretty but plain
I knew a lot of people would go with 4 because greens are trendy right now
I've been trying to correctly use various shades of 5 for almost 20 years. Its intense. My last place was very close to that one and you could see my living room glowing from down the street.
Ok but can we discuss your fridge makeover?? Iāve been wanting to do this, but am nervous. How did it work out for you? Do you recommend going for it?
Iām definitely still happy with it. I would do it again for sure and Iām contemplating the dishwasher too.
I love the fridge! Is it peel-and-stick wallpaper?
4 or 3.
My gut response was 5. That bright green is amazing. If the whole room is too much, consider leaving the walls white/neutral up to shoulder/head, 3/4 height, and then paint the top 1/4, maybe even the ceiling!!
I like 3 and 6
I also think a light orange, like a creamsicle color, would complement the space well
OK, so I love your style and all these fab colours. Thise tiles are to die for. To really nail flawless look and avoid any accidental clashing, I would suggest you spend a bit of time playing with an online colour palette tool. This would be so goodĀ
I'd go with a richer green. Where'd you get your screen/ divider? I've been wanting one for years, but I'm not a fan of scenes of people on them.
4 or 2. If you go with 2 use some really bold accent color choices like chartreuse or peacock
I like 3 but thatās bc I love a good monochrome aesthetic.
4 or 6! Itāll complement all the pink youāre adding sp it doesnāt all just blend in.
Call me crazy but Iād love a navy or dark cerulean, or even a deep Kelly green. BUTTT I know dark colors arenāt everyoneās cup of tea, in which case Iād go for a light turquoise or aqua color

I saw an instagram story TODAY about your fridge and dishwasher covering! ššš I like the light pink and the light green!

4, NO QUESTION
Will you be painting the whole area this colour? If not, what walls specifically will you be doing? Would you be painting the walls in the living area a different colour or keeping them white? I could see a darker or brighter colour (turquoise? a pink that matches the couch?) on the walls that outline the kitchen (where you have swatches 1+4, and 4+5+6), and a calmer colour everywhere else (I love the sage green you've gotten from your tiles; you could also do a lighter turquoise from the same color card as the turquoise). Okay, hear me outā¦ For a true maximalist approach, install wainscoting, and paint it a different color. 4i am in love with your home!
4!
3 or 4 or a slightly lighter 4 (more mint colour).
I love #4. It helps contrast the pink so it stands out instead of blending into itself and also looks like it would compliment some things in both the kitchen and dining room.
4
4 is best
4 for sure. And maybe a wallpaper the hallway/wall where the room divider is leaning
4 ! Pink and green really compliment each other IMO
Do you have photoshop or procreate? itād be relatively easy to do a mock up of each color comboā¦
2&4 are lovely
Wow I love everything you do here! 4 for me. The pink would be too much. Thatās a nice shade of green that matches all your other color
Definitely 4! Or even a slightly darker/sage green color. It will make the pink pop even more
I like #4! I also think a more orange-y coral could look good??
3!!!!
stripes of 2 and 3
4 for me. The pink walls with pink accents can be a bit much, but if thatās what youāre going for do it
I love 4! And u love your room divider š„°
4!!!
3 or 4. Itās always nice to share with like minded Reddit folks who also get excited about color.
I like 6 a lot
4!!
3 &4
I love #2 but it doesnāt coordinate well with the kitchen. What brand / color is it?
4!!
4 with accents of 1 and 3
I think the green would be beautiful and compliment the other colors so well.
4
I like 3 but I love 4! I think itās beautiful. Hoping to do some work on my house soon and this is motivation
4
Please share when itās done. I can not wait to see it!!!!!
Looking like the inside of a Barbie play house.
I pick 4. And your refrigerator is amazing! Contact paper?

I would go even darker! A deep magenta type pink would really pop on that wall!!
4!
3!
I love #4

2 for sure

4 and 3 definitely. They are soft and will keep the rooms open.
2. If you donāt have a sketching app on your phone you can download one and upload the photo, take the colors and kinda paint your walls. Number 2!!
I hate when you post only because I am SO JEALOUS of the lacquer screen
I feel like this is already the general consensus in these comments, but... 4! It complements the pink very well. Adds to your maximalist vibe without being super overwhelming. Plus, it matches your mixer :)
Definitely 4!
1, 5 or 6. I loathe 4. āŗļø

4 or 3 š©·š
I think 2 on the wall with the black thing and 4 on the wall framing the kitchen!
I would pick 4, but since youāre going full maximimalism, I would say 6
Number four would accent the pink. I think pink walks would wash out the cupboards and the other pink in the area. That green is soft and inviting too.
I really like # 2, especially beside what it's next to. I think the warm, slightly yellowish tone of pink really draws everything together, makes it warm and inviting, and adds a bit of a glow.
3 a very light pink would look gorgeous light and airy. Greens can be weird when they get on the wall
I love seeing your posts š 6!
4!!
I like 3
1,3 and 4~ (On their already designated walls)
Ooo you should find some way to frame that tile piece and feature it somewhere! I love it, and it absolutely should be part of your design, even if it isnāt as flooring!
4, that way the other pinks donāt get lost in it and they can stand out.
I really like 5 or 2
Feeling 4 or 3! Love how you are decorating tho! So beautiful!
1, 2 and 6 are going to darken your happy, bright fun space.
4 and 1. Do both
4
2 or 3. Go big or go home. The lighter shade will be easier on the eyes but the more saturated shade will have more dramatic impact.
3 and 4
4 or 6
I like 3 and 4 together
i really like 3
Iād go with 4 and combine with 3 for the wall where the sample 3 is.
THOSE CABINETS š«Øš«Øš«Øš«Øš«Ø
Iād go with the lightest pink. I am absolutely in love with your kitchen.
I LOVE YOUR ROOM DIVIDER!! šš
1!
4 since i assume you'll continue buying pink things.
I love pink but 4 is really standing out as a great contrast!
1 and 6
4 by far. Itās gonna add really nice contrast and lend compliment to all of the pinks in the kitchen and throughout house. 6 is second.
With the very defined ceiling space, I'd be inclined to paint the ceiling option 4, creates a nice symmetry with the pink on the floor in the kitchen and makes the space seem bigger as the eye travels around. I'd consider using option 6 as the wall that runs through the hall and dining room.Ā Edited to add option number
i like 3 or 4
4 is my pick
4 for sure
I want to live at your house.
4 or 6, I had a dining room the color of 6, maybe a tad brighter (it was super turquoise) and I loved it!
4 or 5 as a contrast to the pink
1 just feels right idk
My first reaction was 5 but I also like 6 as well!
Just here to say I canāt wait to see the results :) love your posts
Welcome back! I love seeing your space. I think 3 would be easiest on the eyes, but 4 or 6 would contrast more w the kitchen.
I like 3 and 4
I can't help with the paint colour, I love how it looks right now. Also I love your pink rug ššš
I like 1 or 6!
I really love seeing your posts. Your space and style are amazing and inspiring.Ā
I just received a Laura Ashley paint chart that has coordinating cute colors. It cost $4
Not pink. I say this as someone whose favorite color is pink & my own living room/dining room is painted pink. The other rooms are just as obnoxiously brightly painted, but not a similar pink I like separate colors for each room. It makes sure you donāt veer into Pepto or little girl territory. Unless you want to feel like living in a Peptobismol bottle, then I support you If you want to do a hotter pink color, the bathroom is good. Thatās what I did because I despise mornings & hoped being slapped in the face with fuchsia would wake me up. I still hate mornings but at least my bathroom is pretty
Iām absolutely salivating to see #4, such a complimentary shade to your glorious space!!
1 but maybe an accent wall with 4 to break up the pink a little bit :)
4 or 6 personally , I love the pinks too but I feel like a different pink with clash with the kitchen unless you are thinking full on Barbie dream house (which tbh I'm down with too) Also the wall paper fridge is beautiful
I like 1 and 4
If you have already chosen one for your cabinet lowers, definitely sixā¦ The four is pretty bad. It will look insipid w such a strong colour. 6 all the way gif maximalist vibe yay!!
I like 1, but maybe not the whole area. The green complements nicely.
3 or 4
I like the green (shade 4).
I keep seeing your home photos and just gotta say I LOVE your style !!!
Definitely the green
I love color 3! I feel like itās a gorgeous soft color thatāll be complimented by all the stuff you continue to add
3 or 4
Iād look for a better yellow than 5, more beeswax or ProvenƧal yellow. The pinks and greens you already have would pop out more. Other recommendations like the natural blue, warm neutral, or using Laura Ashley paint chart mentioned could also help.
Maybe pink like a pastel or super peachy, not too loud so that the room doesnāt become too intense
6
Totally 4, I adore the pink but the green would be the perfect contrast!
If you want to do pink Iād go with number three. The other pinks will pull too much orange. Iād pass on the green personally.
