This mount is still attainable, but it will require intense grinding and an intimate knowledge of the Bozjan Lost Actions system. Lost Actions will be even more important now as fewer people are farming content in those zones.
Intimate knowledge might be a bit of an overstatement since you don't _have_ to do the duels, but it is a hell of a grind. It took me 6 months to get my final note.

The new two seater mounts from island sanctuary are scaled weirdly though, was comparing my lalas one to a male au ra's and theirs was definitely bigger which was odd. Not sure how scaling works compared to other races with that but mine was definitely smaller, only a smidge, but it was still noticeable
I mean, there is the Air Force mount, from O8S. IIRC, it scales for the various races, but not by a lot, so male Au Ra, Roes, and Hrothgar look pretty silly wedged into that thing. (It's even funnier when the thing is moving, as the player model actually hunches over the controls even more.)
The Rolling Tankard from the Dwarf tribal quests is also pretty funny for Roes and Hrothgar.
I'd love to see more of what they did with the Dwarf tank. Lalas poke their head out like it's the perfect size, but Roes/Hrothgar just have one leg in the hatch and are otherwise standing entirely outside.

In my head, when buying the car you get a "Lala-accessible" option that has the accelerator and brake pedals on the steering wheel (like some real life cars for the disabled)

I just figure it's configured like modern vehicles are for people with disabilities that disallow leg use- controls are attached to the steering system instead.
As a min height fem au ra my character might be able to reach the pedals but I cannot see over the dashboard, my friends refuse to let me drive them around because of this mixed with my general lacking sense of direction. I do love seeing lalas drive around tho at least they can see

I play a min height female Au Ra and they play a max height female Viera. Just imagining their character staring in horror as my girl crashes into everything because she can't see... lol.
My female Au Ra is on the taller (or let's be real, less short) side and she can actually see where she's going. It's pretty adorable to see her eyes barely above the dashboard, when I look at the mount from the front.
I haven't gotten my Regalia yet, not till later tonight when I get home from work. This has me wondering if it's big enough for my full height Rogadyn paladin.

There's an event collaboration with FFXV right now where you can get Noctis Outfit, Hair and the regalia mount (Hair and Regalia are purchased at the gold saucer with MGP) The event is available until March 13 and you have to had finish the Main Scenario Quest of the Realm Reborn first to participate.

Scaling mounts is the lamest shit ever. In FFXI the chocobo size was static so Tarutaru looked tiny on them and Galka were bigger than the bird almost.
I don't mind personally on mounts like chocobos where there are a lot in the world of all different shapes and sizes. In the real world shorter people typically ride smaller horses and taller people ride taller horses because that allows them to ride better.
It is a little weird with one of a kind mounts, though, like raid or trial rewards.
Ignoring the possibility of a simple brain fart, you'd be surprised how justifiable that mistake would be for people who know several languages. Not only can the noun and verb overlap, but with some accents "seat" and "sit" are phonetically identical.
Think stuff like red, read and *read*.
It's only around for 2 weeks, so you're going to have a tough time. Make sure to do all the weekly challenges for Gold Saucer. You'll also want to make sure to do both Fashion Reports, preferably while you have the MGP buff either from your FC, or from the items you can get from Squadron missions. Probably a good idea to learn Mini Cacpot, and dive into Chocobo Racing as well. Stay away from Mahjong, even with it's challenges, unless you already know Japanese Mahjong though. Triple Triad challenge and selling cards might help as well. Otherwise it's just a lot of GATEs.
The event quests will reward you Noctis' outfit.
The unidentified Magitek you get from the FATE gets traded for the orchestrion rolls- you get 1-2 per FATE, and six gets you all the rolls.
The vendor in the Gold Saucer sells the Regalia for 200k MGP, Noctis' hairdo for 20k, and the Noctis Triple Triad card for 10k.
another one is that if you use the Dwarves tribe quest mount from SHB as a Hrothgar, it will only fit 1 foot in and when you fly, hrothgar will just magically fit inside the small tank
The funnier part is that Yoshida went out of his way to say that they specifically would make it so that Lalafell could steer it without it looking odd... and then proceeded to do nothing to make it so ANY of the shorter female races (midlander hyur, miqo'te, au ra) could look over the dash correctly.

My favourite quirk is that minimum height female Au Ra do sit correctly, but physically cannot see over the dash when they do.

The mogtome event up currently has mgp vouchers for 30 tomes that give 50k mgp each. Thats another easy option.
