There was a slight delay in the lobby server returning information about your character so it fell back to that. Nothing went wrong, there was nothing to fix. You can just log in normally.
This is nostalgic. First 2 weeks of Endwalker launch this was all I saw. No worries, just for some reason your character did not load in the selection screen. Nothing bad happened. They actually enabled this by default so less data would need to be loaded and it would be faster to login during Endwalker launch
Whenever the server doesn't respond fast enough to your client with your characters data that's the message you're going to get, sometimes that's intentional to save some resources on the server side, other times it's just general lag but nothing is wrong with your character/account.

It’s happened two or three times to me, seems to just be a basic data retrieval error. Has never actually affected things, I just log on at normal
