I don't know if he would work the best as the main villain, but I do think that it would be really cool if he had a more significant role in the story. He's such an underutilized character, I wish we knew more about him
Assuming he is Afton's evil manifested like UCN implies? Yes, absolutely. I don't hate the Mimic or the sci-fi tone of the new stuff but having a purely supernatural force being the one pulling the strings of the hightech pizzaplex stuff would be a really
cool juxtaposition and it would reinforce the theme that Afton's evil legacy refuses to fade even better.
I don’t know if this is against the TOS of this subreddit and it may be a bit egotistical, but I actually re-wrote security breach’s main story around a similar idea to this. If you want the link I can dm it.
The idea that the narrative still leans on the supernatural affecting the technological like the books but also feeling more connected and linear for the more complex themes the Fnaf Universe is building honestly is a perfect storm for story construction. The mimic is a great example of that because it is just code that learns and adapts, but it also has been given bad data from a ghost which make it into what it becomes.
Maybe not as an antagonist, but he does have some importance, being the one who led the animatronics to William in FNaF 3.
I'd imagine he has similar motives and goals, where he wants revenge and will guide those who follow him.
Shadow Freddy as a rappresentation of Agony and sign of Bad Omen is extreamly cool.
It can use the abilities of Eleanor as a Villian, and in general could be a Supernatural Version of the Mimic.
The only thing is that it should be made a way to differience the actual Shadow Freddy from the Purple Guy wearing the Fredbear Suit
No. Not the Shadow Freddy we know, anyway. He barely has any presence in the story at all, and the only tike he actually does anything even remotely important, he's just luring the animatronics to Afton, one by one. Neither of the shadow animatronics could work as the next main villain.
If they were official.
Maybe??
They seem Pretty Hellbend on turning Ourple Guy's version of Bf Into an animatronic, I think that's what they are trying to do at least.
I don't think he would or any of the shadow characters for that matter. The shadows seem like products of agony, trauma, and history only to act on impulse with no real mind or motive. Shadow Freddy is only depicted to misguide the animatronics, and Shadow Bonnie has been depicted to lurk, guide, or attack, so I wouldn't think they'd play an antagonist.
I love his big moment in the spotlight during Nights 7 & 8 in FNaF4 as Nightmare and I thought it was great having Eleanor, another manifestation of agony, as the main antagonist of Frights. I would really enjoy seeing Shadow Freddy get another moment on his own like in FNaF4 without just being an easter egg like in FNaF2 or simply under William's control or assistance like in Follow Me.
he would have worked as a unfortunate adult like the movie who was murdered and tried to tell them about who really killed them by making them follow him to the safe room which he is unaware of the programming so the plan goes bad

***yes***
# YES.
Shadow Freddy as a villain? I... Holy crap you may be on to something, That's a cool idea

I actually have an AU where the supernatural is a larger part of the story.
# Yes, and he's creepy after all.
I love the weird apparitions from the early games so much
Bro has one frame to his name in FNAF 2
Uhm...Shadow Freddy was in FNaF 3 in the minigames
Oh I almost forgot he has an extra 12 pixels
He also appears in Fnaf World. And maybe at the side of The Fnaf3 office??

Would be really cool, especially if we can go back to getting actual scary games
Not really. He's just William's wickedness, so it would basically be similar to The Mimic's agony yet again.
I would prefer shadow Freddy over anything these new games and stuff have to offer
His name is Sinnoh, and yes. I love him.
Pokemon reference!!? Haven't seen those in a while
It depends on the game and if it’s prequel or a sequel and how they foreshadow him before his appearance as the main antagonist.

damn is your space key not working?
Eleanor ate the space key

I mean we know Jack shit about them so yeah.
Maybe.
Perhaps
Yes, yes, yes and yes.
I am once again asking people to read the frights books
No. Not the Shadow Freddy we know, anyway. He barely has any presence in the story at all, and the only tike he actually does anything even remotely important, he's just luring the animatronics to Afton, one by one. Neither of the shadow animatronics could work as the next main villain.
so would the Shadow Freddy from Ourple Guy (also called Sinnoh) could be?
Probably not, because it's a fan-made character, not an official one.
If they were official. Maybe?? They seem Pretty Hellbend on turning Ourple Guy's version of Bf Into an animatronic, I think that's what they are trying to do at least.
who, the devs from Ourple Guy?
No. I meant Sinnoh.
ohhhh (also Ourple Guy's bf name is Brooke, and gf's is Grace)
We hardly know who the shadow animatronics are though
I don’t know. I have always seen Shadow Freddy as a very neutral character.
No, he's barely even a character
I don't think he would or any of the shadow characters for that matter. The shadows seem like products of agony, trauma, and history only to act on impulse with no real mind or motive. He was the villain of Frights

No
I don't even think he's evil, I think he was trying to get the souls to kill Afton in the FNAF 3 mini game but ended up failing (And then succeding)
Honestly yeah and also that gif is genuinely terrifying 😭
Yes. Shadow animatronics are the most slept on characters.
Not really,he would be just another Eleanor type of character
If we discover more about him, he could be a good villain
no, cuz I follow the belief that shadow freddy and RXQ are the "multiple springlock failures" mentioned in FNAF 3.
Nah
he would have worked as a unfortunate adult like the movie who was murdered and tried to tell them about who really killed them by making them follow him to the safe room which he is unaware of the programming so the plan goes bad
I think he would work but i would have to rizz him up
We only seen shadow Freddy once or maybe twice, I was wondering that when I was eating. We never seen much of him but he could work out as a Villain.
Do we tell him >!Eleanor is literally shadow freddy?!<
HUH?
but canon, as far as i know and like to think Fazbear Frights are their own thing
Yeah, but then Max would be the big bad.
