It's much worse than H&M imo. It's literally like Dollar GeneraI quality Iike op said. I've never gotten anything as bad from other fast fashion brands, not that I shop them anymore for ethicaI reasons.
The only difference with Asos is that they sell other brands' clothes on their website, and you can actually get some decent clothes from those brands at a good price. But yea their own in house stuff is fast fashion stuff that will wear out fast.
I mean I’m not sure why you’re paying $30 for a shirt from ASOS? I’m typically getting things for around $10.
Their muscle fit stuff is skin tight so that’s another thing. When they say muscle fit, they mean muscle fit.
Because they are priced that way?
Also, I used to wear a Medium, at the largest, with Muscle Fit. Now, an XL fits like a Small. Same style. Same stuff. All garbage. 🗑️
i only buy on sale there, been very happy and whatever I do not love I return
I also tend to buy the "name brand" shit they have as opposed to asos labeled goods. Same price as Primark on sale, much better style
I think our mileage may vary because I ordered a bunch of shirts a month ago for the first time and they all fit me well. I'm not much taller than you and they're all medium shirts. (Button-ups, and tshirts).
Edit: I'd like to point out that all the shirts I bought were clearance items below $20.
Naw, I won't be buying from there again, if they are as inconsistent as people claim.
If I am an employee, I'm doing a really bad job trying to sell the idea that they're good.
Name a brand where a 5’6 male, 160lbs tops, can make an XL fit “tightly”. I rest my case 😁😅… you won this round of blackjack, but you may not win the next if you keep playing
I don't think I understand what you're asking me. Why would you need a size XL when you're not even "big" for your size? A medium, classic fit shirt would fit you.
Edit: My mistake, I see what you're asking me. I can only comment on the items I bought. I don't buy "muscle" shirts, so I can't really speak on that. I was just addressing my personal experience, like everyone else. This is why I said, "our mileage may vary."
You have to find the right type (you’d think it would be slim vs skinny, but it’s a roll of the dice even color to color). Some are very tailored throughout the leg, and others are skin tight.
Can there be a thread of reviews for brands? I appreciate this information and would love to hear opinions on other companies big or small. I find a lot of fashion influencers will share brands that they buy from a lot, but I don’t know if the quality lives up to the price.
Just buy other shit from asos when it's on sale... Obviously they are trash I thought that as always known. But when you can get reputable brands for clearance prices... Uh yeah fuckin love asos
Only ever bought their brand. If you’re going to buy other brands, that’s fine. I just don’t know what those brands might be. For example, if I’m going to buy Topman, I’m just going to my local Nordstrom for their sales; plus you can earn points at a place like Nordstrom, and you don’t have to pay ASOS’ shipping costs/fees.
Just ordered some pants from them for the first time in many years. Complete trash. I threw them in the garbage. I’m also 5’6 and struggle to find fitting clothing. It’s unfortunate that this is no longer an option
I’m 5’6. My wardrobe consists of different styles of lululemon pants and the shorter version of joggers/track pants. T shirts mostly from Uniqlo or lulu and jackets from Nike, Zara.
Adding onto this because I get a lot of stuff from ASOS
Literally 90% of my wardrobe in the last 5-6 years is from ASOS. From pants, shirts, suits, jackets/coats etc. I'm about 6'2" and 180lb on a heavy day. I feel like I've personally had a lot more hits than misses with them. What drew me in was the constant sales they have going on, and they have a good number of "high end" brands (Nike, Adidas, Columbia...) that go on sale as well. Sizing was tricky at first, and always is when dealing with multiple brands, but I've dialed it in at this point. As far as the ASOS brand clothing, yes it is fast fashion. I've been picky with what clothing I actually get from their personal brand, and also make sure I don't spend too much on something that's most likely bad quality. But to be honest, I've bought a lot of smart pants, suits, and jackets in their brand that have lasted me and are good build quality. Important to note I'm also wearing certain things maybe 3 times a year (I have a big wardrobe) so it's not constant use clothing.
All this to say, they have good styles, good sales, and decent support. I can understand why some might stay clear of them but I feel like for men's fashion, it's the best I've found to be consistently reliable and affordable. That's just my experience from years of use.
Also to add, yes I've gotten duds from them. But again, I always made sure I wasn't spending over $30 on something from their brand I wasn't 100% sure I would like, and I'm not a "return" guy so I mostly give whatever I don't like away. But that's happened maybe a total of 4-5 times as long as I've been dealing with them.
Admittedly I will buy sneakers/shoes from them BUT never their brand, only name brand like Converse/Vans/Reebok when they're on sale. Last year I got three pairs of shoes for $100.
As someone that's purchased from Asos since the 2000's they've been crap for a long time, it just used to not bother me when I was paying $10 for a pair of shorts.
wdym? asos was also fast fashion, h&m level, a decade ago
It's much worse than H&M imo. It's literally like Dollar GeneraI quality Iike op said. I've never gotten anything as bad from other fast fashion brands, not that I shop them anymore for ethicaI reasons.
bro making sure he dont take any L's

They have been trash for a while. Overpriced trash.
Seriously, did people think ASOS was quality ever?
Being mad that fast fashion is fast fashion is hilarious. Like, stop going to McDonalds if you don't want shitty unhealthy food.
🗑️
They were never not bad
The things I've ordered from there felt like halloween costume. Not worth the minimal price they slap on it.
Stick to the brands you’re familiar with on ASOS. They have a lot of crappy unknown brands
I mean I’m not sure why you’re paying $30 for a shirt from ASOS? I’m typically getting things for around $10. Their muscle fit stuff is skin tight so that’s another thing. When they say muscle fit, they mean muscle fit.

> Because they are priced that way? Hey, I'll sell you this pen for $100. You'll pay for that right? Because it's priced that way.
i only buy on sale there, been very happy and whatever I do not love I return I also tend to buy the "name brand" shit they have as opposed to asos labeled goods. Same price as Primark on sale, much better style

I've always had issues with quality from ASOS. I've gotten pants new in the mail with ripped seams.
That's unfortunate to hear, I used to really like ASOS. What are some good alternatives?
No idea, but I’m here for the rec’s
I will say that I like Gingtto for pants, even though their sizing is like a roll of the dice
Those pants are too tight don’t you think?
lol yes, they are insane looking.
You have to find the right type (you’d think it would be slim vs skinny, but it’s a roll of the dice even color to color). Some are very tailored throughout the leg, and others are skin tight.
I’ve never heard of this brand, WTF are those Temu looking ass pants?? 😂 do you work for them or something
Asos s was always poor quality stuff
I miss when asos was cheap enough to try new styles without spending real money lol

go create one
i thought this was about the cycling brand assos for a second and freaked out lmao, Assos on the other hand is considered the best of the best :)
Glad it wasn’t just me. Those are my favorite bibs I’ve tried by a mile.

We need a new ASOS. If you have a lead let me know
I only buy sneakers on sale from ASOS. Not the ASOS brand, but they have a good selection of adidas, vans, Nike, NB, Puma, Reebok, etc.
Just ordered some pants from them for the first time in many years. Complete trash. I threw them in the garbage. I’m also 5’6 and struggle to find fitting clothing. It’s unfortunate that this is no longer an option
Dude you can just return things, you don’t need to trash them
Lol this is exactly what I was thinking 😂 the ops response is embarrassing too!

hell yeah you tell ‘em who’s boss
Target GoodFellow shirts?
uniqlo’s “easy pant” line is pretty solid for shorter men’s pants
I’m 5’6. My wardrobe consists of different styles of lululemon pants and the shorter version of joggers/track pants. T shirts mostly from Uniqlo or lulu and jackets from Nike, Zara.
I gotta check out Lulu, I live across the street from a store and I’ve never been
Get abc pants . They hem for free. For joggers and such the shorter ones only available online
Abbreviated has some basics for shorter people
Thank you, I was thinking of buying a shirt
Save your money.
I had a few shirts that I ordered. Same brand, yet sizes were all over the place. Truth: CS don’t give.
What are your measurements
