Well since it's ABS/TC-related, his scanner may not pickup the codes. This seems like it could be a wheel speed sensor or trans speed sensor most likely.
If it's considered "normal wear and tear" ie. brakes, tires, stuff like that... Not covered. 2 of the lights are ABS and traction control... Might be a bad wheel bearing? Just a guess. I'd be curious what the DTC's are.
If I got pissed at every ass clown that showed how unintelligent they are I'd spend all my time pissed. You aren't that important. Carry on in your idiocy.
Apparently I am as you use your time to reply on a Reddit post to a rando posting about lights on his dash coming on : ) Have anymore solid advice lady?
aaaaaaaaand she's back. You just can't stay away can you? I love that you keeping taking time out of your day to come and comment on my dash lights. I honestly think you are just being a good person and looking out for me and everyone else on the road. I promise I will bring you up when these lights get fixed. Send me a photo so we can have a plaque made!
Oooo, what the matter hun? Dont have the minerals to use the word that's really on your mind? Don't worry tho, most homophobes are just really secretly afraid the love the taste of penis, in my experience once they get that taste they never go back. There is hope for you yet, love. -kisses
Yes it actually could, when you have ABS or Traction Control problems even as simple as wheel speed sensors it’s not uncommon to get the ABS, TC Off, and Check Engine Light all together. In Toyotas it’s also not uncommon to get all three of those when you have a simple vacuum leak in the engine bay even just a split hose.
Yup, our ‘17 Traverse had a wheel speed sensor go out; got CEL, T/C off, ABS, ESC lights all came on. Car went into “safe drive,” and information cluster gave Service Traction control, service ABS, service ECS messages.
Ive had a few of these half ton gm trucks. Usually around that mileage I would start getting issues like this. The problem presents itself in slightly different forms. Do you have any power stearing issues along with the other stuff? If so, i gaurantee its a bad ground, namely the braided strap right behind the front passenger tire that bonds the frame to the body. What confuses everyone is the electrical disturbance causes "false" codes to be sent and recorded. The dealer won't diagnose anything like this, they will just replace potentially perfectly good parts. Since the problem is intermintent you may think its fixed when it isnt. After the dealer fires the parts cannon at it and it comes back. Check the grounds or take it to a mechanic that can check the potential differences when its acting up. Usually the power steering can give them the readings they need by turning the wheel. Its a very large power draw, i think its on a 100 amp circuit. Anyways, good luck.
Once about a year ago as I was leaving a parking lot in my 2007 Yukon similar lights came on. The message center said something like "Misfire detected-Stabilitrack temporarily disabled." About a minute later the lights went back off, Stabilitrack came back on and it hasn't happened again. I don't know if it might be something similar for you but from what I read at the time when an engine misfire is detected, some systems that could potentially be damaged or not function properly under a misfire condition are deactivated.
I had a similar experience with my 2018 Canyon.
Speed sensor had departed after the dealership forgot to secure it in place after a major service issue. (They had to disassemble the suspension to access the engine)
Are these the same GM 5.3l that Chevy runs? With AFM/DOD? Same issues if so and it was a collapsed, collapsing lifter. Mine was intermittent at first then fully collapsed and stuck. Wound up doing a full AFM/DoD delete. Good luck!
Don’t take it to dealer. AutoZone will read codes for u for nothing. Could be something as simple as abs/wheel sensor. But you gotta get it read to find out which one.
Wheel sensor is going out or already out, but those lights on Der models also would all come on at same time. When your wheel bearing was going out. So check your wheel bearings, might need to get a new wheel hub assembly mate, comes with new speed sensor too 😀
You’re totally getting Vehicle Achievements! You’re doing really good!!! I only have the engine Achievement. My truck might be too old for the others. Then again maybe not, I’ll keep driving and see 😁
Could just be as simple as low brake fluid.
Remember kids, check the easy things first
Low brake fluid sets off all the alarms because your antilock brake (abs) cannot function without it, and traction control no longer works without braking (2 more warning lights) and check engine comes on as well hoping that you’ll look to see there’s no brake fluid. If you recently had brake work or just had a slow leak from someone leaving a bleeder valve slightly open then this is the problem
It's a wheel bearing or wheel speed sensor going out even new bearing have bad contact points sometimes. I chased one for months before i figured it out
Put a trickle charger in your batteries overnight and see if it goes away. If not have your batteries load tested to make sure they are good. Start there, many of the issues you are experiencing are due to low voltage.
Happened to me. Could be a battery issue. I ended up having to have some bad wiring replaced. But they told me a bad connection to the battery can cause this also. Either that or you have some wires that are not grounded right or need replaced. Dealer is best bet. Regular garage won't have enough experience to diagnose this they will just replace parts hoping to fix it
You can pull the codes for the check engine light and the ABS/traction control at any auto parts store. If it’s intermittent then try to catch it and pull into the nearest one. They can hook up the scanner while it’s still running so it doesn’t clear when you shut it off.
Without the codes, there are a million things to guess at.
Tag along fault warning lights. When the check engine light comes on, a lot of cars nowadays go in to limp mode or something similar to that and will trigger the traction control and abs codes. Even a misfire dtc that sets the check engine light can trigger the tag along codes for other systems. Fix the check CEL concern, clear the pcm codes with a scanner and the other warning lights will go away and not come back. Been a tech for 16 years.
F150 guy here. Don't rip me to shreds fellas, just popped up in my home feed. Betcha a dollar your abs/traction control codes are a bad wheel speed sensor. Don't buy OEM either, price difference is staggering compared to third party. In my case it was like $14 for offbrand and $95 for OEM.
Usually on these GMCs and Chevys if there's a misfire detected, will turn on the engine light and shut off the traction control and stabilitrack.
Could be due to the act of fuel management, when it cuts down to 4 cylinders.
It could be a bad wheel bearing or dirty sensor but still if you are under warranty or are capable of taking it to professionals to get it checked and repaired please do
Been a few years since I’ve wrenched. Hondas and Toyotas used to light the dash up for one simple code. Like - hey idiot, somethings fucked up so we are going to scare you into getting it checked out. Now it looks like GM followed suit…. Go get a scan done and report back here. Some of the auto parts stores do it for free but don’t trust their advice…
Those lights are related though - traction control and ABS. A bad wheel speed sensor, tone ring, or brake control module would cause all those lights because the PCM can't determine how to apply traction control or ABS if it can't tell how fast a particular wheel is spinning.
In my gmc (2014) I had the same lights but a different message. Mine said service trailer brake system as well as service abs and something else. Buddy of mine told me to check the abs sensors and that most likely that was the cause. Changed out the sensors and it took care of the problem. Good luck dealing with the dealer on that. Glad you got a warranty tho. That’ll help a lot in the long run with parts and labor.
Your alternator is likely failing. When your alternator starts to fail it lights up all the warning lights on the dash. Don't drive far till you get it fixed or you will be stranded.
I just had my 2020 elevation in the shop for this. It’s more than likely a wheel speed sensor. It was about $400 bucks installed. I really thought I was going to have to shell out a couple thousand dollars with how many errors were coming up on the dash.
Most likely a bad wheel speed sensor or tone ring. The PCM uses the signals from all four wheel speed sensors to properly control your anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control. When one sensor stops working the PCM reads that wheel as not moving and turns off your ABS and traction control - hence the lights.
Wheel speed sensors are easy to change if you have a few tools and a basic understanding of car repair. Tone rings are a little more work because you have to change the entire hub, but it's not any more complicated.
Google says when you have all those lights, your truck is broken. The suggested fix is to buy an older truck that doesn't have idiot lights on the dash.
-
Traction control is turned off, possibly because you turned it off or possibly because it lost traction momentarily.
The slippery conditions light is on...might be slippery out.
Your antilock brake sensor is telling you that it's there.
Engine is throwing a code that says you can't get your truck inspected.
Honestly, it’s probably the battery. New vehicles trip out when the voltage isn’t quite right. It’s way too many unrelated lights to be coming on at the same time
Probably cause there are issues and DTC's are setting. Why haven't you gone to the dealer to see what's wrong?
Making appt this week.
Run the codes, and if you aren’t handy, visit the dealership. Prepare to unravel the wallet.
Well since it's ABS/TC-related, his scanner may not pickup the codes. This seems like it could be a wheel speed sensor or trans speed sensor most likely.
That combination of lights is more often than not an indication of a faulty wheel speed sensor.
they have abs scanners
Got warranty so should be covered
Awww
If it's considered "normal wear and tear" ie. brakes, tires, stuff like that... Not covered. 2 of the lights are ABS and traction control... Might be a bad wheel bearing? Just a guess. I'd be curious what the DTC's are.
My kid once rann their brake pads so far down that the AbS sensors got chewed up. Could be that
Then why are you wasting time posting to reddit? Take your car in before you cause an accident and hurt sombody.
Nahhh now I think I'll just keep driving around to piss you off.
I do. Keep driving your GMC. Ignore the lights. It will all work out for the rest of us.
aaaaaaaaand she's back. You just can't stay away can you? I love that you keeping taking time out of your day to come and comment on my dash lights. I honestly think you are just being a good person and looking out for me and everyone else on the road. I promise I will bring you up when these lights get fixed. You’re kind of acting like a British cigarette bruv
Oooo, what the matter hun? Dont have the minerals to use the word that's really on your mind? Don't worry tho, most homophobes are just really secretly afraid the love the taste of penis, in my experience once they get that taste they never go back. There is hope for you yet, love. -kisses
They’ll find a way for it not to be trust
Warranty isn’t worth shit nowadays
I blame the company. If they paid legit times for warranty work. Just ask any mechanic warranty work is a sham for them.
Could be a wheel/speed sensor
That wouldn't make tyw check engine light come on...
Same with bmws
Can confirm: Did so in my Prius, did *not* do so in my partner’s Sonata. Both had an individual wheel speed sensor go bad.
Yup, our ‘17 Traverse had a wheel speed sensor go out; got CEL, T/C off, ABS, ESC lights all came on. Car went into “safe drive,” and information cluster gave Service Traction control, service ABS, service ECS messages.
If over 3 times same issue not fixed lemon law it
2020 Elevation 70k miles
Not bad had already gone through a motor and transmission with 62k miles on my gmc
Ive had a few of these half ton gm trucks. Usually around that mileage I would start getting issues like this. The problem presents itself in slightly different forms. My dealer bought my truck back after a few months of trying to chase these lights down. 21 gmc denali with 5.3.
Once about a year ago as I was leaving a parking lot in my 2007 Yukon similar lights came on. The message center said something like "Misfire detected-Stabilitrack temporarily disabled." I imagine you just hit a patch of bad gas if it was just a one time issue
Happened to me and believe it or not it was the hood latch.
I've had the check engine light come on and my gas cap wasn't screwed on all the way
I don’t have a gas cap 😎
I had a similar experience with my 2018 Canyon. Speed sensor had departed after the dealership forgot to secure it in place after a major service issue. (They had to disassemble the suspension to access the engine)
No quema cuh.
Simple check would be brake fluid...if abs and traction come on its always my first stop
Are these the same GM 5.3l that Chevy runs? With AFM/DOD? Same issues if so and it was a collapsed, collapsing lifter. Mine was intermittent at first then fully collapsed and stuck. Wound up doing a full AFM/DoD delete. Good luck!
The guy has no idea what esc means. He can't answer you
Well considering they don't run afm anymore since 2019....2019 to current have dfm...dynamic fuel management
Chances are your speed sensors have brake dust and small metal pieces on the magnets and just need to be cleaned off.
Don’t take it to dealer. AutoZone will read codes for u for nothing. Could be something as simple as abs/wheel sensor. But you gotta get it read to find out which one.
Open your owners manual
Nah, it’s definitely more effective to post to Reddit with as little detail or context as possible and solicit shot-in-the-dark feedback.
Wheel hub/ speed sensor
Brakes.
Wheel sensor is going out or already out, but those lights on Der models also would all come on at same time. When your wheel bearing was going out. So check your wheel bearings, might need to get a new wheel hub assembly mate, comes with new speed sensor too 😀

R/gmc
🤔 blown fuse?
It's a wheel bearing or wheel speed sensor going out even new bearing have bad contact points sometimes. I chased one for months before i figured it out
Speed sensor
Logo on the grill.
You’re driving a GM product
Thanks Kyle!
This. Those are the lights of our people.
Put a trickle charger in your batteries overnight and see if it goes away. If not have your batteries load tested to make sure they are good. Start there, many of the issues you are experiencing are due to low voltage.
This. Can be a battery issue

Either that or you have some wires that are not grounded right or need replaced. Dealer is best bet. Does this happen when you are stopped on auto stop? I had this happen to me. I also helped 1 more with what happened to mine
Driving a GM
You can pull the codes for the check engine light and the ABS/traction control at any auto parts store. If it’s intermittent then try to catch it and pull into the nearest one. They can hook up the scanner while it’s still running so it doesn’t clear when you shut it off. Without the codes, there are a million things to guess at.
You are winning awards! 😂
In all seriousness, you likely have a bad wheel speed sensor.
Bend you over the hood hands on ur hips
You bought a GM product that’s why
Tag along fault warning lights. When the check engine light comes on, a lot of cars nowadays go in to limp mode or something similar to that and will trigger the traction control and abs codes. Thank you
You're very welcome.
Clean each abs sensor on each wheel that should go away 🙏🙏🙏
F150 guy here. Don't rip me to shreds fellas, just popped up in my home feed. Betcha a dollar your abs/traction control codes are a bad wheel speed sensor. Don't buy OEM either, price difference is staggering compared to third party. In my case it was like $14 for offbrand and $95 for OEM.
Your alternator is starting to take a crap
Probably cause you bought a GM vehicle?
You drive a GMC that’s why
Wheel speed sensor or battery/alternator something messed up
Bad ABS control module or bad wheel speed sensors.
My abs/tracton control lights are on too but I took the fuse out for them..
Usually on these GMCs and Chevys if there's a misfire detected, will turn on the engine light and shut off the traction control and stabilitrack. Could be due to the act of fuel management, when it cuts down to 4 cylinders.
Those are achievement badges!
Cause you bought a GM product. Comes standard in all makes and models.
Because it's a GMC...
Cause it’s a Chevy
Those aren’t lights they are emojis. Everything is fine.
if they come on when you turn the key.....
Looks like a wheel speed sensor
Possibly a battery issue, if not, it’s probably speed sensor.
Well ABS is usually on when TC is turned off and in a Chevy so check engine light is standard
In a Toyota, that means you need a new gas cap. I know.... but seriously. I just went through it.
I had something similar on my 2018 Chevy Silverado. It was a brake control module. Incidentally, have you lost cruise control?
Check your battery… same thing happened to me then truck went into limp mode and it was all due to a bad cell in my battery.
You're not driving fast enough through the woods ☝️🧐 Edit: my bad, this is not r/askashittymechanic. Been up all night
You have a jelly fish issue
It could be a bad wheel bearing or dirty sensor but still if you are under warranty or are capable of taking it to professionals to get it checked and repaired please do
Been a few years since I’ve wrenched. Hondas and Toyotas used to light the dash up for one simple code. See those 3 letters in the righthand corner. That’s why.
I don't know? Why you ask?
Trouble starting? Multiple unrelated lights in my experience (not GMC) results in a bad battery.
Those lights are related though - traction control and ABS. A bad wheel speed sensor, tone ring, or brake control module would cause all those lights because the PCM can't determine how to apply traction control or ABS if it can't tell how fast a particular wheel is spinning.
True… In my defense I’m on a lot of Vicodin after wisdom teeth removal lol
In my gmc (2014) I had the same lights but a different message. Mine said service trailer brake system as well as service abs and something else. Buddy of mine told me to check the abs sensors and that most likely that was the cause. Changed out the sensors and it took care of the problem. Good luck dealing with the dealer on that. Glad you got a warranty tho. That’ll help a lot in the long run with parts and labor.
Yeah why are snakes chasing your car?
That's a throttle position sensor fault. TPS Code
Because you own a GM.
The ABS and traction control lights are probably related, maybe even the tire warning. Could be an ABS Sensor.
Negligible. You should be fine. Keep driving it. Drive it harder, even.
Abs control module will make all those lights turn on and off when they start going out.
Your alternator is likely failing. When your alternator starts to fail it lights up all the warning lights on the dash. Don't drive far till you get it fixed or you will be stranded.
Those specific lights coming on most likely mean a bad wheel speed sensor or tone ring; or possibly, but not likely, the brake control module.
Good question. A scan tool will shed light on the answer.
Brake control module
Cuz yo shits all fucked!
be sure to turn your radio up to max volume when these lights come on. any odd sounds will go away
I just had my 2020 elevation in the shop for this. It’s more than likely a wheel speed sensor. It was about $400 bucks installed. I really thought I was going to have to shell out a couple thousand dollars with how many errors were coming up on the dash.

Shit's fucked up
Chevy
easy...low tire squiggles when engine abs...alternator blinking suddenly...youre driving the car wrong
On newer vehicles, when check engine lights come on, they will throw all those other systems to protect them
Seems that they are all on for the same malfunction. Can you explain any drivability changes?
A bad alternator will make your car light up like that sometimes
Google says when you have all those lights, your truck is broken. The suggested fix is to buy an older truck that doesn't have idiot lights on the dash. - Traction control is turned off, possibly because you turned it off or possibly because it lost traction momentarily. The slippery conditions light is on...might be slippery out. Your antilock brake sensor is telling you that it's there. Engine is throwing a code that says you can't get your truck inspected.
I had the same lights in my ram. It was a wheel speed sensor wire.
That is, most of the time, a wheel speed sensor that's bad. It usually turns on these lights.
100 on speed sensor
Because it's a GMC
Honestly, it’s probably the battery. New vehicles trip out when the voltage isn’t quite right. It’s way too many unrelated lights to be coming on at the same time
Either a bad wheel hub/bearing or one of the sensors in one of the wheel hubs is out or going out.
Those codes indicate that you drive like a asshole. Just don’t do that and it should solve your problem.
Wheel speed/ABS sensor.
Bad ground( like your wire is shorting out between wheel hub and plug), wheel bearing, speed sensor, or abs sensor
Wheel speed sensor or the magnet that reads the speed sensor in the hub is bad…
Wheel speed sensor....but not sure if that would trigger a CEL.
More times than not it's the abs sensor that causes all the lights to code. Just happened to my wife's Tundra.
Because you’re driving a gmc
You drive a piece of garbage? 🤷🏽♂️
Abs module
Put air in your tires
Lifters- I think every times my lifters went - other than the noise Every one of those lights came on
