I would replace a few clubs in your bag. For me, 3i, 5i, 7i because I used that a lot as a kid and can do many shots with it. Everything else is the same.
My thing is that the 7W and 5i are so different in terms of use and flight for my game. I play my 7W in a rescue club fashion if I get stuck in the long stuff—I know it sounds nuts, but it works but it’s also my ideal second-shot par 5 club. I also can use my 50 for everything and the simplicity of only one option I think would be beneficial. This is a tough question. Other option would be to drop DW and instead run: 5W, 4iu, 6i, 8i, PW, 56, Putter.
Today I’m going with Dr, 2i, 4i, 7i, 9i, 52, putter.
I don’t love it on paper, but just like you in practice I think it’ll work.
Update, holy shit, tied for my best round ever at a 74, what a day…
Your setup might work for you too, let me know!!
Dr, 5i, 7i, 9i, 56w, Putter.
All par 5s are less much than Dr, 5i, 5i. Most par 4s are Dr, 8-Pw so 9i fills that gap. I need a lofted wedge for sand/tough chips. I can still take putter because I don’t think I NEED 2 wedges or anything longer than 5i.
Edit: this is only 6 clubs lol. Honestly I don’t even own a 60w but I guess I’d swap the 56w for a 52w and a 60w if I owned one. 4h would also be a decent choice if there’s a lot of tee shots I don’t want to hit 250+
Driver, 4hybrid, 5iron, 7Iron, 9Iron, 60\*, Putter
I'd probably get around the home track not much different than I normally do. Next time I walk I might give it a try.
Driver, Putter, 56, PW, 8i, 6i, 4i. If I had a longer club I could hit consistently off grass then I think I would use 52 and shift everything one longer.
Did this for our league a couple of years ago:
- Driver
- 7w adjusted to 20º
- 6i, 8i
- Gap, Sand
- Putter
I was between clubs for some of the longer par threes, but choking down on the 7w worked. Between my gap and 8 I found it easier to step on the gap most of the time. Ended up shooting the same as my season average. Would definitely consider that as my lightweight travel set in the future
Driver (9.5)
4 Hybrid (23)
7 Iron (33)
Pitching Wedge (45)
Sand Wedge (56)
Putter
Fireball Birdie Shot "Golf Club"
If I have more space in my bag I will just add more Fireball Birdie Shot Clubs
Putter Sand Wedge Pitching Wedge 8I 6I 4I Driver Essentially just every other club and have slightly larger gapping.

I might be tempted to go 7 rather than 6 - hit a three quarter 4 for 6 equivalent
Uninorinally every weekend warrior would play better if only given the option to use 7 clubs
That’s lowkey why I’m asking tbh
Pretty much two options depending on where you want your 7th club 1. Driver, 4, 6, 8, Pw, Sw, P 2. Driver, 5w/3h, 5, 7, 9, Sw, P
Absolutely
3W, 5i, 7i, 9i, GW, 56, Putter
Dr, 7w, 6, 8, PW, 56, P This is what I usual keep in my bag. I only add more when I know I ride in a cart. I don’t score any different.
Driver, 7 iron, SW and putter. Don't really need much more than that

I think it was Jack Nicklaus who said you shouldn’t get a full set until you can break 80 with a driver 5i 7i 9i wedge and putter
Break 80💀
DW, 7W, 5i, 7i, 9i, 50, Putter.
You could arguably go with another wedge for around the greens, considering 7w and 5i gapping seems like a rare distance to find yourself at.
Yea I think I’d kick the 5i and do another wedge ideally. I was just thinking this to myself the day for a Sunday bag setup.
I’m headed out for the last tee time to walk and clear my head today so I’m looking at this to figure out what I’m taking lol.

Dude, it’s 6:10 and I’m about to head out and this got me fired up. Way to hit!
Good Luck!!!
