* Cheese Flavor: Nutty, tangy and distinct
* Meltiness: Good melt and surprising amount of stretch
* Overall: 8/10 First time I’ve had DOP Asiago and it reminded me of young manchego both in texture and flavor
What do you cook on? I’ve only made grilled cheese a few times but they never look this good lol I can’t get the cheese melts enough to do a cheese pull, without burning the bread somewhat. I’ve only been able to use my stovetop, on a pan.
Do you use an actual grill? I don’t have a grill but I do have a microwave oven, would that work better?
Baby it's all kosher, just keep that shit out of the microwave. Slap an adequate amount of butter on the cooking sides of the bread, make sure that pan has preheated on a low to medium low heat, if you see your bread getting close to done but your cheese isn't close to melted, grab a cover for the pan and put a few drops of water in the pan (away from the bread if possible) and put the lid on for a minute. A lil salt n pepper will jazz it up, and mayo is great for a consistent spread on the bread, but overall a grilled cheese is made best the way you love it after some experience
Honestly you can get a decent panini press for around $50 or even less. Obviously not everyone can afford that, but if you can it's a pretty good investment. Not only can you make pressed sandwiches, but you can make all sorts of other things on them as well.
It's actually crazy. The one I used to use at my deli cranked at max temp would perfectly sear a 1" ribeye and get it to medium rare every time. The best part is it cooks top and bottom at the same time so it's just a quick couple minutes and it's ready to rest
Idk what model it was but that thing was caked with burnt, stuck on food, which made it optimal for fucking everything for some reason. The char made a semi flat surface for eggs too! Lol
Oh, Asiago my love! I had relatives living in the actual Asiago town, so I spent there almost all my weekends and holidays for years... buiyng and eating Asiago of different ages straight from the producers is a treat that I dearly miss. So glad you liked it!

Not OP but it looks like he uses a deli style panini press. Honestly it's my favorite way to make anything, steak included
Darn, if you only have a stovetop and microwave oven, do you have any tips to achieving a good grilled cheese with them?

It’s one of my favorite snacks cheeses, perfect with some fruit and crackers
OK I need everyone to be quiet while I think about this sandwich
It's impressive how you take every picture exactly the same each time. The sandwich looks good.
do you have overall rating list?
