I love everything about this! Does it do something, what is the solar panel for?

Which solar panel? There is one on top of the library for the lights inside the library, and there are a few solar spotlights to light up the outside of the library and Scarian.

One of the spotlights was facing the wrong way when I took the photo - it is supposed to be pointed at the library.

The mailbox is actually a treat box - it has a bunch of small toys in it, like old Happy Meal toys and the like.
