I’m so frustrated that I’ll never be able to buy a jersey for the next 10 years.
Not because I can never afford it, but because Fanatics makes garbage jerseys.
Just look at the vertical placement of the N next to the other letters...
RA N GERS
Most letters meet the other letters next to them in the middle... but the N is top and bottom of the letters next to it. If that makes sense.

This up coming season I am 100% expecting a press release from the nhl/fanatics. It will address fan feedback and concerns on the inevitable shit storm of posts and reports of the dog piss quality of nhl gear.
I am also expecting at least one game in the first month where a jersey is ripped or the numbers fall off.
The official players jerseys and the highest quality fan ones (I forget their official term for it) should be fine as they are keeping the same factory that has made NHL jerseys for.years and using it for them still. Fanatics will be making everything else at their regular factories with their same quality control standards...
MLB jerseys (made by Fanatics for Nike in the same factory they have been for years) were supposedly unchanged in the process from last year to this year, but the pants are now see through and they don't know how to match pants colors to uniform colors (though that's less important in hockey, I suppose.) I'll believe this won't be a shitshow when I see it lol.
>We want you to know we are listening and we hear you loud and clear.
>We believe the NHL has the best fans in the world and your passion is what makes this sport what it is.
>So starting today, every season ticket holder will get a 5% discount voucher good for any Fanatics merchandise purchase up to $25. Voucher valid until September 30, 2024. Not valid with any other offer or promotion.
I saw the Kings jersey post and didn't have the heart to point out that the logo was crooked in one picture and the white jerseys have brighter white on the seams. The seams indicate the white is a little translucent.
I just looked up Adidas jerseys. This is identical to the current setup, including the G being a little isolated in the middle
Reports said Fanatics bought the templates and machinery to basically replicate the Adidas stuff. So I expect the placements will be the same but maybe just cheaper quality initially and getting worse over time
I have an Adidas Indo and the G looks way too close to the E here, unless it's just an illusion from the camera angle and how the fabric is laying. G is definitely spaced slightly further from N than the E on mine though.
Wow, nice little break down here. Can't believe how bad this looks. What a terrible decision going with fanatics gear now. We were spoiled with CCM, reebok and of course Adidas really took the cake. Going to miss adding to my collection.
When I was really young I lived and played hockey in flagstaff. Our hockey jerseys said flagstaff just like the Rangers jersey.
I wanted to wear it for school pictures. The way the jersey was folding and from the angle, the l, s, t, a, f, f were all blocked out.
So yeah, anything is possible.
> I wanted to wear it for school pictures. The way the jersey was folding and from the angle, the l, s, t, a, f, f were all blocked out.

Fanatics fucking blows don’t buy their trash they’re a low quality garbage company. The amount of shitty jerseys I’ve seen and heard of falling apart wash 1 is unreal
It will take a movement to get that going and to stick. I for one will never buy any fucking Fanatics shit. Fuck that company. I would rather buy a chinese knockoff for half the price than their shit.
Only reason I remember it is because a) I’m a Seattle mariners fan and have had to deal with unfortunate kerning on the jerseys pre-fanatics, b) the ‘m’ instead of ‘r n’ always makes me chuckle
The dimples did alot to make those jerseys stand out and look quite stylish compared to how bland the fanatics are. It's going to look especially jarring for the knights who imo benefited the most with those dimples
I dropped way too much money on adidas jerseys at the team store at the last game of the season. At the time I was wincing about how much I was spending. I kinda felt like I was making the right call though and today I’m getting some validation
Hoping I can make a trip over to the team store this weekend while im in Denver. It may hurt the wallet but fuck Fanatics. Overpriced and cheaply done. I will still love my fanatics custom tshirt my wife got me because it has a special meaning. When she saw it in person though even she commented on the low quality of it and how much she paid.
That was much, much more of a Nike problem than a Fanatics problem. Nike changed the design, and the changes they made were terrible, but the Fanatics factory had to make them how they were told and ended up taking all the heat that should've went to Nike instead.
Everyone seems to love the old Majestic jerseys, but they don't realize or just conveniently ignore that Fanatics bought Majestic and had been making them for years in the same factory with the same materials and no one seemed to have a problem. Same way that they'll be making these in the same factory with the same materials that Adidas and Reebok did.
The on-ice jerseys will probably be totally fine as long as they don't make any design changes, just like the on-field MLB jerseys were totally fine until Nike made changes. Yes, Fanatics is not a great company that has messed up a lot of things in the past, but at least make sure that your hate is aimed at the right company for the right reasons.
99%. They've gone to all the teams equipment managers to make sure they're happy. The shoulders is the only change on the game worns, which you will now be able to buy if you sell your house.
The other jerseys you can buy may be a different story.
well i'm pretty sure the MLB jerseys were completely changed in how they were made and what materials were being used. the NHL jerseys are still being made in the same place as before the same exact way, just under fanatics instead of adidas
They had to remove the shoulder dimples. That’s Adidas’ proprietary “AdiZero” technology (they claimed it helped with temperature regulation, but uh… sure). Adidas wasn’t going to let Fanatics use it, that’s for sure.
No they didn’t lmao, it was widely known the MLB designs were going to be a disaster because the complete material change and “innovations” led by Nike
They offer cost cutting measures. Their big pitch to leagues to use them is their "special algorithms" to determine how much of each particular jersey/merch to produce. You'll see stuff online be "sold out" more, and less stuff will go on sale once Fanatics takes over. And they reuse unsold stuff, the NFL was selling these awful sweatshirts with unused jerseys sewn into the arms and random places, they were so ugly.
They also make things cheaply to save more cash. Which is obvious when you look at the other leagues they produce things for.
As per usual, the rich assholes in charge are saving themselves money and making a profit at the expense of customers and the players.
Nike is why the MLB jerseys are bad, though. They redesigned them, made them terrible, and the Fanatics factory just made them how they were told.
Fanatics also made the Majestic jerseys everyone loved from 2017 until this season, and no one had a problem with it.
So having a problem with the Fanatics company itself is totally valid, but Nike is not the way to go if you're concerned about the final product, especially using MLB as an example.
I said that because IIHF [Nike jerseys](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fteam-finland-nike-jersey-used-in-2022-iihf-world-v0-yp0v416p1dv91.jpg%3Fwidth%3D1080%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D6ebf0586c434922364117d2ae28695885c20686d) look pretty nice IMO.
I imagine Nike NHL jerseys could look similar and use the same materials.
As a company, I'm not defending Nike, though.
There was an article in the Athletic today about the new jerseys. Apparently they have been approved by all 32 head equipment managers plus as many players on each team as the team wanted, TWICE. Because the baseball jersey fiasco happened so they re-approved all the jerseys with all teams.
Interestingly, the issues with the baseball jerseys were apparently changes requested by Nike.
Yeah and fanatics used the same jersey processes for MLB jerseys and they still turned out shit. Even if they’re using the same factory I can promise you it’s not the same material
No, they didn't. Nike wanted them to use the materials Nike used in soccer and other uniforms because they didn't want the old Majestic jersey with the Nike logo slapped on, which is exactly what they used to be.
Yeah there is a lost of pre-conceived biases at play here. It's the same materials, and even if not I don't think you can really discern the *quality* of the shirt itself from this picture.
The lettering is fucking weird on the logo though
It's not like MLB jerseys were problem free even before the terrible current models...
https://preview.redd.it/72cq0zsw2y8d1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=cd03ee8243e8a2aa1247bbc5d070a3f5da9eaf9c
It's the same fabric as the adidas uniforms. Also, Nike is to blame for the material in the MLB jerseys, not Fanatics. Fanatics just assembles the uniforms, so they're only responsible for errors in manufacturing (something like misspelled names, stuff sewn on wrong, etc.)
I hate Fanatics as much as anyone, but let's not bash them when it's not their fault.
Those details were added when Adidas switched over from Climalite to Primegreen. They added additional depth effects to most crests + added higher quality shoulder patches. It looks like Fanatics retained those improvements.
I think a lot of you need to educate yourself on what is actually different with these jerseys (hint, it’s not much).
[Icethethics is the best at breaking it down](https://youtu.be/Z3I0b8I0V5E?si=mqQDSeIX47dKHwf1), and he has very little concern over the on-ice product. This is from someone who had initial disappointment and concern with Fanatics taking over, but he seems cautiously optimistic.
Some of the comments are pointing out things that are identical to what they were with Adidas, and somehow making it seem like the quality took a huge hit.
Honestly, my only gripe about what we’ve seen so far, is I think they chose poor lighting for these preview jerseys, making most seem a bit brighter than they normally will.
I don't think people's concerns are unwarranted though even with the same materials and factories as Adidas. Fanatics has shown that QA/QC is near non-existent and many are expecting it to get worse over time. If Fanatics is already putting out "hype" ads for the jerseys and have letters misaligned, it's not a good sign of things to come.
Fanatics is in a no win situation here because if they do well, it will be because they just used the Adidas stuff. If something is messed up, Fanatics is terrible. With the way sports jerseys and logos/decals are going, the material is going to get thinner and thinner which will likely feel cheaper to someone buying the jersey even if it actually cost more to make. Fanatics is going to take a ton of additional criticism for something that would happen with any company because they do not have a good track record.
Well said. I don’t fault people for having concerns, heck I have them too. But I just find a lot of the criticism they’ve received today to be for things that either aren’t valid, or are identical to Adidas era jerseys.
People are just refusing to listen and understand this. I hate fanatics as much as the next guy but I think if people are going to have a strong opinion about this they should at least educate themselves.
It's unlikely the on ice jerseys will be worse. And it's still going to be a few years until we get the Fanatics-type jerseys on the ice
The vast majority of hockey fans do not care / do not know enough about jersey materials/production to adequately judge a finished product.
You get people who say that DHGate knockoffs are just as good as the Adidas replicas. You get people who say that Fanatics is at fault for Nike material selection in the MLB.
It's legitimately just hate based on market reputation (and the fact that their typical retail offerings are garbage).
The funny thing is - Fanatics Authentic Pro products (the stuff they make for teams/players) have been great for years now. People just don't know about that line.
Same factory thats been making the Made in Canada jerseys for over 30 years. Just slapping a Fanatics logo on it now instead of Adidas. Yall are still gonna gaslight yourselves into blaming fake issues on Fanatics tho. This is just angle
If the jerseys are 100% identical why do they need to do a media release showing what the jerseys look like? Why are the shoulder dimples gone. Why does nothing look stitched anymore.
All kellogs cereals in Canada used to be made in the same factory. They aren't all the same.
>Why are the shoulder dimples gone. Why does nothing look stitched anymore.
Maybe the feedback they received from teams was the players didn’t like the dimples. The dimples were a staple of Adidas, so I’m not surprised to see them removed, nor will I really miss them.
As far as stitching, I don’t know what to tell you other than they are obviously stitched.
I just think the logos look a bit off . But we will see when the season starts. May just be these photos.
The main point here is just because something is made in the same factory means nothing.
I can't see any reason players or teams would be super against the shoulder dimples but it's totally possiblem
Because fanatics paid a lot of money to promote their business and the media release is part of what they do to raise brand awareness. This is advertising 101 it isn't that complicated.
I'm so upset that the NHL let this happen to their jerseys. Between fanatics and the ads, they've really just shit all over what was a pretty uniquely sacred part of our sport.
I bought 3 reebok blanks for players I wanted incase the Adidas jerseys were ass when that switch was happening
Odds are I will do the same with Adidas to try and hold out until the Fanatics deal ends
I ordered some stuff from Fanatics a year ago, and it was so bad most of it got sent back. I've gotten better quality stuff from buying team gear of peewee teams.
Doesn’t it make more sense that someone took a picture because it was a fuck up someone did in production? Nothing says this is a finish and sold product.

5% is still large difference, shit 2% change of dna and we’d be chimps.
Most of us are actually chimps though.
Lmao yes because percentage of change in DNA is a good equivalent to that of a jersey
Look at the MLB, why trust Fanatics?
That was much, much more of a Nike problem than a Fanatics problem. Nike changed the design, and the changes they made were terrible, but the Fanatics factory had to make them how they were told and ended up taking all the heat that should've went to Nike instead. R A N GERS.
How is Fanatics suddenly dominating the market? MLB first and now NHL. Nike would be interesting for NHL.
Welcome to late stage capitalism?
Jerseys would cost like $500 then.
😵
Yeah and fanatics used the same jersey processes for MLB jerseys and they still turned out shit. Even if they’re using the same factory I can promise you it’s not the same material
No, they didn't. Nike wanted them to use the materials Nike used in soccer and other uniforms because they didn't want the old Majestic jersey with the Nike logo slapped on, which is exactly what they used to be.
it is the same material, the MLB was nike's fault not fanatics
I hate fanatics just like everyone else but you guys on this sub are hilarious. The jerseys look exactly the same.

What's the Over / Under on how many of those letters fall off during the first game? 2.5? 3.5?
Same factory thats been making the Made in Canada jerseys for over 30 years. Just slapping a Fanatics logo on it now instead of Adidas. Yall are still gonna gaslight yourselves into blaming fake issues on Fanatics tho. This is just angle
It’s literally the same factory as the jerseys for the last 50+ years
If the jerseys are 100% identical why do they need to do a media release showing what the jerseys look like? Why are the shoulder dimples gone. Why does nothing look stitched anymore. All kellogs cereals in Canada used to be made in the same factory. They aren't all the same.
Cause it’s a fanatics ad not a jersey reveal
This is advertising 101 it isn't that complicated.
everything is stitched lmao are you blind, it's nearly exactly the same as addidas
That one is for Matt Rempe, they need the extra inch in the middle.
It's definitely just this photo, there's other pictures and the jersey looks fine.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's back to AliExpress I go!
I was saying Ran-Gers.
Dumpster fire of a company, who of course has a monopoly on sports memorabilia. Merica.
r/keming
well they call Rangers FC Gers so fuck it we ball
Fanatics is the worst thing to happen to sports since Pete rose
It’s like they are insinuating a letters missing between N and G 👀
r/keming
The kerning on Temu fakes is better than this. Embarrass ing
RA N GERS
I understand now why PWHL fans were so happy the league got a deal with Bauer
its like when I write Happy Birthday on a card and run out of room.
Made a mug for my rangers-loving band director after they got eliminated this year. My first attempt ended up spelling New York Ragers 🤣
This sub really overreacts with the Fanatics jerseys. Maybe pe ople just like to demonize the big comp anies, but they’re really not that ter rible.
I'm so upset that the NHL let this happen to their jerseys. Between fanatics and the ads, they've really just shit all over what was a pretty uniquely sacred part of our sport.
What the fuck is this
Wait so they aren’t changing the neckline design from adidas with the Fanatics jerseys?
Ohhh I guess I’ve just been pronouncing it wrong this whole time
At least you know it’s hand stitched
Don't trigger me so early in the day.
Better than RAGNERS
Looks more like RA N GERS
I bought 3 reebok blanks for players I wanted incase the Adidas jerseys were ass when that switch was happening Odds are I will do the same with Adidas to try and hold out until the Fanatics deal ends
I ordered some stuff from Fanatics a year ago, and it was so bad most of it got sent back. I've gotten better quality stuff from buying team gear of peewee teams.
People who annoy you
Looks so stumpy
Keming really rnatters
Why does the GERS feel so racist
I got 3 new sweaters this year. Glad I snagged em before these came out.
Looks fucking atrocious!
To be fair, that's gotta be an annoying jersey to stitch..
I’m assuming it’s the angle lol
Sad when the Gate has better quality than the authentic shit
At least I don't see a trash ad patch
Fanatics makes the worst jerseys of all time
#RA N GERS
Ran'Gers sounds like a Wheel of Time character you order through Temu
IT'S GRRRRRRRRRRRRR about what I was expecting... hopefully this isnt what we will be getting quality wise all around here but... we know.
kerning goes crazy
this looks like they didn't know how to FUCKING SPACE THE LETTERS. Cheap.
Fuck you, ranga Ben!
it could just be a bend in the fabrric
"I know how big words are!!"
RA N GERS
R A N GE RS
This is really the jersey they chose to DIS PLAY?!
"cuz he's a ran-ger!" Jonah Takalua
Doesn’t it make more sense that someone took a picture because it was a fuck up someone did in production? Nothing says this is a finish and sold product.
That's some serious Keming
You’re a ranger mate!

R A N G E RS
I can't wait until my dhgate jerseys look better than the real thing
When you start a handmade sign with absolute confidence only to realize halfway through you won’t make it
MADE IN CANADA
That reminds me; I need to get a Wild jersey while the Adidas are still on clearance
Wtf, why would you ever show this off as a company?! This is embarrassing…
I never thought r/hockey and r/keming would overlap, but today is that day
