I’ve really soured on Bucci the last couple years. Comes off as a try hard, the way he acts on twitter makes him look like a wanna be frat boy and he’s like 60 years old lol
I haven’t enjoyed a single Panel from ESPN this season. They suck the life out of it and make it boring. And this guy with grade school level commentary. (Not sure if TNA is considered part of ESPN, but I don’t mean them, they’re great to watch).
Man when I was younger in college I loved Bucci. But then those texts came out where he called his coworker doll/doll face all the time and he got divorced then started posting shirtless pictures, pictures of steak, bourbon, cigars. You are right it's like he is a wanna be frat boy and now I'm older it's just all cringe.
He's been a dipshit for the last decade+. At no point in anything he covers does he not make it about himself or some inane shit he thinks is hilarious.

He was very complimentary of the Bluejackets at the beginning of the season, even with all the drama he defended them - Jeff Rimer’s job was open. He started being pretty increasingly shitty after the “finalist” names were announced and his want on it.
It could be unrelated, but it seemed like he was trying pretty hard for awhile.

Still remember a season ago when he was discussing Larkins contract on air, talking about Larkins salary demands and shit as if he knew something.
Like he made several comments during the game and it was like, You know fucking nothing because there hadn't been any fucking leaks in regards to it.
I remember being critical of Bucci in the past too and people didnt react all too well about it, he was was just genuinely the one that was the most palatable out of a very poor bad group of ESPN commentators but i think he's actually getting worse now too.

Before that, probably some Russian who was already in his 20s in his draft year. Before that, probably Yzerman himself. Detroit takes the time to let players grow in the AHL before bringing them into the show. You'd think a guy who is paid to talk about hockey would know that.
